Smokey Mountain Trails Map

This trail had a bit of everything. the view from the top was amazing too! just beware of the ice all over the trail this time of the year

I have so much respect for this mountain after hiking this trail. Definitely one of the hardest hikes I've done, but also the most rewarding. There are so many beautiful landmarks to keep you inspired along the way.

The hike to the falls is easy, beautiful scenery along the way. Path is narrow in certain points and heavily trafficked.

Fantastic! Last part a little tricky but not bad. Wonderful!!!

this is a relatively easy moderate Trail with beautiful views. It's nice to do the hike up over the Ridge and get away from the loud sounds of the river and end of The Quiet of the forest. the signs are pretty good at showing the way.

Good trail, short and great for kids. Decent for running and if you're looking to add miles, the Cataract Falls trail connects to Laurel Ridge and more.

My wife and I hiked to Mt. LeConte via Alum Cave Trail. We have never gone this way before but have done it several times via Rainbow Falls and Grotto Falls. No matter which way you go, it is beautiful. The foliage was gorgeous.

Beautiful trail! Longer than expected, but worth it. There were down trees, and a lot of rocks and roots, so you have to be cautious. The waterfall was beautiful, and I’ll never forget it. My boyfriend proposed at the fall. What’s not to love?

We paid for shuttle to pick us up at Laurel Falls parking lot at 8:30. He took us up to Clingmans Dome road and we hiked back down, 12.4 miles total. There was snow for 3 1/2 miles at top. Beautiful views at the major burn area on the ridge, looking back down on Chimney Tops, 441, and Gatlinburg. Colors were at peak. Just before end of trail you have a big ridge to climb. Awesome trail!

What a wonderful trail A+++++

This hike has it all! Great variety of trees, views and difficulty including the cave, stone steps, and exposed rock where you will be thankful for the handholds. Be sure to wear waterproof shoes and once you get to the Lodge keep going for better views from the Cliff Top.

Beautiful hike, 10 mile round trip from Rainbow falls parking lot.

Highly trafficked but beautiful on the fall! I was there during golden hour and absolutely loved the colors.

Don’t miss this!!Absolutely amazing!!! Majestic views. It’s a long hike, start early so you can stop and take pictures along the way. It took us 8 hours round trip moving at a goos pace and making a few stops. Don’t eat the sack lunch at Le Conte lodge, it was horrible. Pack your own food and plenty to drink.

Me and my sweetheart Hoss went on this hike and it was beautiful, the climb is so worth it!! Beautiful views and cliffs.Seen the first snow of the year! The view from the top was beautiful,it was cold and windy. But cant wait to do it again. I couldn't ask for a better hiking partner,he wore me out!!

Nice trail not heavily used. The creek is very nice.

Insanely crowded (especially at the falls) so good luck trying to enjoy it. I always forget how touristy GSMNP is. Will stick to primitive hikes from here on out and avoid this area.

Beautiful hike this time of year! The GOLDEN canopy of fall foliage was.breathtaking.
The Gift at the end of the climb is walking behind the Falls. I captured some mesmerizing photos on the way back down at sunset looking over the mountains.
Great hike for ALL.

My favorite trail in the smokies. This is also my favorite route to mount leconte. During fall and spring parking can be full so leave early. Beautiful trail during the fall!

Hiked this trail while vacationing in Pigeon Forge with my family (10/30), it was a nice hike to the creek/small water fall. Uphill all the way to the bridge crossing mostly on an old service road, then it narrows to a rocky and root filled trail until you get to the foot bridge, we did not do the loop. We sat by the water on some large rocks and ate our lunch. All the way up you will pass small streams, you could hear the water flowing the entire hike, recent rains had the water flowing nicely. The parking is pretty tight at the trail head, but other than that it was a nice hike!

Easy hike, but really touristy. Perfect for kids and new hikers though! The falls are beautiful and you can go under them. I recommend continuing to Brushy Mtn (2mi further).

Great hike especially later in the year. You get to see multiple layers of the forest on the way up. Beautiful at the top. Moderately tough hike up, but if you go at your own pace it’s more than doable. Wear good shoes. Weather can change throughout the day.

Awesome trail. We logged 14 miles adding the two additional trails at the summit/lodge. Cliff tops is a must do for the views. Lodge is super quaint, check out the Lamas by the dining room. This is a strenuous hike with a good elevation from the base to the trailhead. Nice resting spot at Inspiration. Don’t forget to look for the eye of the needle. Others have mentioned it is very popular and well trailed. There are two parking lots at the trail head.

hike it with my wife on November 2nd. beautiful, foggy and cold. not too many hikers. nice and relaxing.

We parked in Cable Mill Visitor Center lot and trekked an extra mile to this trailhhead. The trail starts out easy and gradually gets more technical. There are lots of rocks, but the falls make it so worth it! Beautiful waterfall and amazing fall foliage this time of year!

My wife and me climbed it on October 30th. start at 10 am. parking lot was packed. trail so crowded. if you keep climbing through Boulevard Trail you reach the Mt Le Conte top.

A little rocky but the incline is pretty gradual. I’m super out of shape and was able to get all the way to the end. Not sure where the 7.9 mi number came from- we clocked 8.4 and the internet said 8.3. Good variety of interesting things, from historical remnants (don’t miss the old Cadillac off to the right as you’re ascending- around 1.9 miles from the trailhead!) to waterfalls and a nice stream to the beautiful forest setting (made better by the fact that the leaves are peaking in color for fall right now!).

This is a moderate difficulty hike. Trail is well kept and beautiful at the top.

An awesome trail!! Beautiful views and amazing hike. Don’t be fooled by its popularity, it’s tough, but worth the climb!
