This would have been a lovely walk, only for a couple of things that spoilt it. Took the whole family and was fun to climb over the rocks at the end of the creek, and saw a lovely little waterfall while doing it. In the field on the other side of the suspension bridge was a car on its roof, wheels were gone and the car was trashed. On the final stretch there was a knife stabbed into a tree in the middle of the track, so I can only imagine there might be some undesirable people getting down there on occasions. Thankfully we didn’t run into any! Lots of mosquitoes so pack the repellent!
Nice walk and the rock crossing and bridge an unexpected treat.
There was a man on the trail clearly high on meth screaming he would murder us and that he had death warrants out for his arrest. We had to turn around. Be careful.
Nice easy walk with dog. The rock crossing at the turnaround point is well maintained may be different after heavy rainfall.
Nice walk - a bit steep at the end!
Nice easy trail, walked at a leisurely pass, finished in just under and hour. easy to do with kids and pets
Grade 3 easy
The most English walk you can do on the NSW south coast. The green rolling hills and craggy cliffs remind me of North Devon. Start early/ late in summer months as the walk is very exposed to the sun
It's a nice, short walk. The lower grotto doesn't go all the way down to the river but the scenery is lovely and there's some veiws of the river that are nice.
Good trail for kids and adults not too long, perfect to do the morning of checkout
this walk is beautiful! there is a lot of nice places to swim, we swam at devils knee. dont be silly and swim in mermaids pool though:many people have dies there. hiking boots useful for there are many river crossings... the cicadas are deafening, you may need earplugs there is little to no shade, wear a hat, sunscreen and pack double water. heaps of spiders, watch out I wouldn't really say its very dog friendly. depends on the fittness of your dog. don't bring them in summer its too hot.
It rained a few days before so most of it was under water, once we got to dry land it was very pretty, was expecting amazing views from the bridge but it was average
Nice view to start with, remainder of the trail was pretty average, very swampy and at one stage the track was incredibly hard to follow over rocks ending up in us getting lost and having to scramble our way back
lovely scenery and track is good
nice family walk with our 16month year old, in the front pack. a steep up and down section, but nothing major. lots of birds.
flooded in Nowra recently so was very swampy, but a nice easy walk with some wildlife and a cool bridge.
