Very nice and easy trail to follow till the end with the waterfalls, where it becomes hard to find and becomes more difficult. Much of the trail goes through a pine forest till the end where you will find a series of cascades/waterfalls.
It was great. The cave tunnel was awesome!!
The river was up, so we had to find creative ways to cross. it was fun though! There were also a lot of downed trees to get around/under. Great hike overall!
My wife and I hiked this trail and loved it. Three nice waterfalls, 3 giant trees, and needles eye was a nice surprise. Lots of down trees over trail and you must cross over creeks on fallen trees, find rocks, or wade. We did not need to wade. Good elevation change to get heart rate up. Make sure you go left or clockwise around loop. Left side more challenging and right side meanders along beautiful green river. Make sure you download your map before you go. No cell service!!! If you are primitive camper, very nice camp sites along the way. Enjoy!!! We did!!!
Great trail! No signal make sure you have your maps downloaded, and a charger for your phone! Lots of creek crossings, bringing a change of shoes was a game changer!
Unmarked in any way, but fairly easy to follow. Starts with a gentle down slope and gets to the waterfall with various steep grades depending on what you want to see and from what angles.
Awesome hike and plenty of waterfalls and cascades
beautiful hike. it was crowded when we went but it was a gorgeous day. we took two dogs and had no trouble.
One of the most beautiful forests I’ve ever hiked in.
Trail is easy to follow and relatively flat most of the way. Some elevation change closer to the tree.
Amazing
we did this trail today Saturday March 13th it was slippery and spots and muddy in other spots one thing we did not see anybody say is that if you follow the creek you got to cross a tributary so you're either going to want to bring sandals or take your boots off or just walk through it like we did but it's above your boot height right now as of today overall saw some nice rock formations nice clean river water and a nice waterfall
Fallen trees but nothing that will hender your trail
Nice trail, some tasking parts depending on trail choices. Could be difficult for a heavy pack but doable with plenty of accessible campsites. Lots of access to natural flowing water. Friendly crowd.
Peaceful but longer than anticipated
Like others have said, the trail can be tricky to follow at times but for the most part it’s clear where to go. Ice storm did some damage so there are numerous big trees down on the path but the hike itself was beautiful and well worth the exertion!
waterfalls are beautiful. rough terrain getting to the bottom .
Beautiful hidden gem! Limited parking at the trailhead as it is literally just a small trail off the side of the road. The waterfalls are stunning but it definitely takes some finesse to climb down to the base of them. Wear good shoes as it is quite slippery and there are some fallen trees across the trail at several points.
Crossed river.
In my humble opinion this isn’t really an “intermediate” trail - I’d say this is a tad more advanced due to the two “river crossings,” numerous smaller streams to cross, fallen trees blocking the trail, and a very minimal trail signs. 1000% recommend using the AllTrailsPro offline map, otherwise it’s incredibly hard.
