Absolutely breathtaking views. Everything is so green and lush making the air cool and crisp. Waterfalls along the whole trail. The absolute best hike I’ve ever done so far.

Always a wonderful stroll through this lovely park. Feels like you’re miles away from the city.

It’s a nice trail for adults but so much for young kids because it maybe slippery after rainy days.

Popular for a reason. Best on a weekday if you can manage it otherwise arrive early or late. Parking can be difficult on a nice day. All up then all down. Adding a short extra loop at the end allows opportunity to escape forest for sweeping views of the grassy hills and ridge line (see my recording)

The water was great. We went all the way to the lake. The way was a challenge since there are 514 stairs to climb. there are 14 waterfall and 2 real bridge to cross. We can heard the sound of water along the creek. We start at 9:00 the parking lot almost pack. It was very chilly and windy and start to warm up later on. since it is weekend so crowded with people.

Beautiful hike! Make sure to get there early because parking can be a little tight. We commuted from SJ so it took us about 1 hour and 40 to get there. It’s only slippery if you don’t wear the right shoes OR you’re not watching where you step. It’s mostly uphill for the first 2ish miles or so. PLEASE make sure to wear a mask. Lots of people hiking so be courteous as you walk along the same trail.

What a nice hike! There are several views of mini falls that you can stop and enjoy the scenery at. There is a considerable amount of steep areas, including parts with many uneven steep stairs and some rock scrambling. Others have said this is a pretty slippery hike, but I didn’t find that to be true wearing shoes meant for trails. Most people we saw were in Nike running/training shoes, so take that with a grain of salt, though it was muddy in several areas. If you’re uncomfortable passing people in narrow areas due to CV19, this isn’t a hike for you at the moment. I just noticed that that while the distance (4.8 miles) is correct, the other feature of this app that shows the incline/decline along the trail is incorrect and only shows 2.8 miles total. Most of the hiking to the picnic area marked is uphill. I’ll report this so maybe this comment will become irrelevant :) Parking can be hard for larger vehicles/trucks, so be prepared to arrive early (before 9) if that describes you. There’s mostly roadside parking, and if you don’t like climbing back up to your car after a hike, I’d estimate that there are less than 50 spaces before the road starts going uphill so try not to arrive late.

This was a beautiful and scenic hike. The trail was well-maintained with steps and handrails in some spots. Still a good idea to wear shoes that will handle slippery and muddy trail. A walking stick or 2 is a great help as well. Very crowded, as it was Saturday. Parking is quite a challenge, as there is no lot, and you need to find a spot on the side of the road. Lovely day!

The trail was in good shape even though there has been a fair amount of rain recently. It’s important to note that there are a lot of steps build into this route with railroad ties and natural rock. Also important to know that given the proximity of this trail to the city, the number of people in the trail will be a lot - particularly on a weekend day.

Extremely scenic hike. There was a lot of water in the fall due to yesterday’s rain I think. A few tips: go early around 8 am to get better road side parking, hike is strenuous with lots of steps so prepare accordingly, lots of mud along the trail after rains so get shoes with better grip. Very enjoyable and beautiful nature.

Scenic drivingGreat!MuddyRocky

What a magical, beautiful trail! Very down one direction and up the other direction but so worth it! There were mini falls, medium falls, large falls, connecting falls, creeks, meadows, wildlife, mushrooms, jurassic park ferns, moss and lichen everywhere! Doesn’t get much better than that. I 100% recommend this falls trail. Parking was no trouble there is a big lot right at the entrance of the trail. Portapotties were clean and well stocked. Pack in plenty of water because you will get tired on the way back. LOTS of people. Just be aware that it is a popular trail. But like I said it was well worth it and everyone was so polite and had the most friendly doggies!! Its muddy so bring supportive traction shoes. I saw a lot of slippage especially on all the stairs. ENJOY
