Cool short hike. The only problem is since it’s so short, it’s very popular so you can’t really hike your speed because of the crowd.

Overall, an easy hike through the sequoias to the stair climb. Beautiful views of the valley all through out the trail and tons of wild life. The stair climb can be difficult but their are plenty of places to stop and break and enjoy the views before reaching the insane panoramic views at the top. Get their early before it gets busy to truly appreciate it :)

This is a short but heavily trafficked trail in Sequoia NP. It’s a paved path that’s great for handicap, kids, and walkers. At the half way point, you’ll reach the General Grant Tree. It’s beautiful but very busy! You can also connect to this trail from other trails in the park. We connected from the Rimrock Trail. Worth a stop if you’re in Sequoia NP!

Short and steep hike up about 400 steps. Incredible panoramic views. Not for the person with vertigo.

Saved this trail for last on this day, and the weather cooperated! Wind was not bad, sun was also not bad, temperature was in the 40's. Saw two ravens on way up next to trail. Parking can be a problem at trailhead lot, so I had to wait till someone left. Stairs up were not too bad just take your time, take in the awesome views and you will get to the top. This is a very popular trail so be patient. This is not one you will have to yourself, unless you come really early.

Went to this trail on July 1st.
Easy climb up the stairs with amazing views at the top.
Check the weather before you go because it can be really intense on a hot day, wear your sunscreen.
The only challenge is that the stair passageway is a little narrow and it can be hard to pass by your fellow trail friends
Check it out for sure!

I've done this one many times and it is worth it each time. The view of the Sierra Mountains is unlike anything else. There are quite a few stairs, but if you take them at a leisurely pace, it is too difficult. Every time I have been here there are always lots of tourists, so just be prepared to be patient. It is not too long of a distance, but if you are afraid of heights be aware there are a couple sections that you come very close to the edge.

Breathtaking views. The trail is steep, but well worth it.

Tip: Check the weather prior to climbing.

One of the best views you can see. A every step going up is a different story

Got there just before sunrise this morning. Amazing views. Super easy walk up the stairs. Had the rock to myself for about 30 mins. Blissful

We love this trail. It was easy and our kids had fun.

Park in small lot for Grizzly Falls. This is an easy hike which you can make as difficult as you want by going uphill from Falls, not sure what is up there. There was no wind so it was going to get hot there in afternoon. This is a great hike to start out your day to see some falls, or after a long hike to stretch out before the ride out of the canyon.

This was so much better than the last time I was here. As we were coming out of the park after hiking in the valley, we decided to stop and hike around General Grant. We just started walking around the giant trees and to our surprise there wasn’t many people around which was awesome. The crews at this park are actually getting it ready for winter already in the middle of September. As these gentle giants rising up into the sky they were just awesome.

Nice day hike. The trail is mild to moderately uphill going out and downhill coming back and the trail is very well marked and traveled. You are taking the twin lakes trail out of Lodgepole camp ground.Today met a number of hikes going in both directions. Fun to stop and chat with other hikers finding out where they are going and where they have come from. At approximated 1.75 miles you must overland East approximately a quarter mile to get to the meadow. You can not see meadow from the trail because of the forest density. I followed a dried stream bed down to the meadow, and it was difficult to maneuver over and around the many fallen trees. It was fun trying to find the easiest way. The meadow is wild and natural because it is off the trail and hence not traveled over by humans. Today it was tall grasses blowing in the wind, but in the spring I believe it will be filled with wild flowers. It is well worth the off trail experience.

Magical walk on paved trail through a magnificent grove of Sequoia trees. Not nearly as crowded or noisy as the General Sherman tree walkway, and I thought the General Grant was more majestic! Do not pass this by if you enter through the north entrance of the park- it’s right there!

Nice place for a picnic. Not really a hike though.

Beautiful falls but not really a hike.

Way back and nearly forgotten.... Awesome sight when I was young.

Hiked the HST one year ago this week. We made from Crescent Meadow to Whitney Portal in 7 days (6 nights). We had big thunderstorms with hail at Precipice Lake, Crabtree Meadow and Guitar Lake. Soaking in Kern Hot Spring was a perfect break in the middle of day 3. We did an alpine start on Whitney and got to see the sunrise and lightning across the Valley on White Mountain. I can’t think of a better way to spend a week.

short and sweet! arrived just in time to catch the sun rise which was cool but the light blocked the view of the dividing range to the left. would be a great spot for sunset. please put your rubbish in the bins!

Short walk from the parking lot, paved trail with slight elevation gain. Nice looking fall, you can scramble down the rocks to get to the waters edge. There were some bugs flying around depending on where you were, but not bad.
