short and near Map

This trail had some amazing views at the top. The elevation gain is about 1300 ft in 1.4 miles but the struggle is worth it. It is also pretty busy on the weekends but a perfect place for a little picnic on the summit.

Fairly easy, very pretty. Alder loop was very muddy and not as pretty as the other loops so not really worth navigating the mud.

Amazing short hike to a breathtaking waterfall. It was pouring rain when we went and it was still very enjoyable.

In a residential neighborhood with limited parking in a cul de sac which is flanked by homes. Had difficulty turning around with all the cars. Found that if I took a left on 183rd instead of the right, there is a much quieter cut de sac (without the number of homes and cars) to enter from.

busy but beautiful park like setting. shallow swimming and wading pools that are great in the summer

Tried to go up to the falls today but some drunk idiot got his Honda stuck on the road a mile away from the trail head! Best to bring up a AWD car or 4 wheel drive if your trying to come up soon! Otherwise I suggest to wait until spring in a couple weeks when the snow is gone! Will have to come back soon !

Good workout. Great views. I did this during the summertime and it was breathtaking.

gave it a 4 because of the slick trail but Beautiful!!! the beginning of the trail was pretty snowy and slick when we were there in February but just took it slow and we were good! the sign for the trailhead is hanging in the tree but if you pull off into the big rock pit you can then find the trail no problem a little back down the road and there was spray paint on the ground to mark it.

The falls are incredible, but it's not much of a hike to get here. It's more of a walk from your car. I would recommend hiking to the nearby Falls Creek Falls (which is in my opinion even more impressive), and then drive to Panther Creek Falls before you head home. I saw both on the same day in July of last year.

Spectacular waterfall. The road to get to the gravel parking area gets pretty narrow at some points, but is paved. Getting to the bottom of the falls is a very short, but pretty intensely steep hike. As other reviews have mentioned, once you park, walk back down the road a bit and the trail becomes visible on the right-hand side a little past the spray paint on the road (then follow the sound of rushing water).

Accurate rating, as Moderate. Incline the whole way, but is a relatively quick ascent. Decent workout for a short time. Super rainy, and windy. No visibility at the top today. Eager to return on a clear sunny day. Beautiful trail, surrounded by tall pines.

on Wind Mountain Trail

Not kid friendly; but well worth the steep, heart pounding trip up. Feels otherworldly at the top, with fog and wind, almost like a microclimate. Lightly traveled so it feels remote and quiet, except for the winds at the top. It’s easy to see why native tribes considered this a spiritual place. Trail is narrow and rugged for the most part, but easy to navigate. Wish there were more viewpoints, but overall a great hike I’d definitely do again, maybe next time in clearer weather.

it was very interesting to see the two diffe ent forests. Grandson loved it

Don't take the trail at the parking area! You'll wind up climbing the mountain instead of hiking. Follow the road down a ways and the trailhead starts there. Beautiful views at the top and along the way.

It was a bit muddy, and very windy at the top but we we're lucky that the clouds broke so we could take in some of the view!

Was snowing pretty good and I almost lost my truck to a patch of ice and the cliff side of the road. On a more positive note the falls is amazing and a must see! Go after a big rain as the falls becomes almost twice as big. Loved this place, will be back.

Steady incline but not hard. Views are fine but would not be my go to in the Gorge

Short trail to the view point, with a fun adventurous option to hike down to right in front of the falls!

Absolutely beautiful! Went there this weekend. Nice drive from Vancouver. Will go back this spring and explore how to get to the bottom of the falls. Worth the short drive and hike to see the stunning falls.

I loved this small hike. Such a big reward and it was clearly marked, luckily the road wasn’t closed.

Love this local spot along the Lewis river ! Went on a fall day and it was gorgeous with the geese everywhere!

My wife and I hiked this trail twice this summer and just finished our 3rd time 30 December 2017. Nice trail, beautiful views, old native spirit quest site on top. Totally cool place to visit.

Cool little marsh-like hike; right near a residential neighborhood but you really wouldn’t know once you get out there. Tons of critters; slugs, snails, and salamanders. Kids had a great time - it’s all flat so no need to worry about hills or climbing.

Beautiful views at the top!!

A pleasant day, nobody but myself on the trail. The previously muddy trail was frozen so no problem dealing with mud. Very pretty and enjoyed the solitude.

Epic waterfall. Not really a hike

Lovely hike! I had the place all to myself and loved watching the birds (herons, ducks, geese, towhees, and more!) living it up in their natural habitat. As other people have mentioned, the trail does fork quite a bit but it meets back at the same place. It’s hard to get lost, just be somewhat aware of where you are and you will be fine. Taking a pic of the map at the beginning is a good idea. They ask you to pay an entrance fee of $3/car but it doesn’t seem to be monitored that closely. I just gave what I had $2 and I assume it’s fine. They deserve a few bucks for the beautiful atmosphere they created. Thank you!

Nice hike. Went in late October and it was a little muddy but other than that in good condition. Options for longer or shorter hikes due to different trails. Picnic tables at start of hikes. Good for kids/walking dogs.

Beautiful Falls! Definitely climb down to the bottom of the falls. Lovely moss walls on the way down.

Nice stroll with my kids and dog.
