all flat, but good workout nonetheless.
flat all thru out. nice view of marsh.
Easy 4 mile walk with strong wind on the west side. If you’re allergic to birds, take a Claritin!
I thought the trail was fine and I enjoyed the variety of bird wildlife. I was however caught off guard at what sounded like shotgun blast. This was puzzling until I was very close to the source and began to see mallard ducks being blown out of the sky. That was not the type of bird watching I expected. No plans of going back.
Great trail and full of the fresh air. Failed to finish the ending loop due to processing construction. Suggest to take the Mallard Slough Trail instead. It ‘s around 4 miles in total. Parking is easy.
Flat trail. Easy walk. Lots of super cool birds. We were only able to go about half of the trail due to the ending loop being closed until next year. Ended up turning down a different way and it was about 4.5 miles instead of 7.
Main parking lot is closed, but there is a small parking lot (with plenty street side parking) and the park entrance. Plenty of birds. This park is beautiful during sunset when the light reflects off the water and mountains. Would recommend this path when it’s dry out, otherwise the loop is incredibly muddy and gunks up your shoes!
great if you are looking for a long and easy trail on a nice day. no shade and open space with lots of birds around
Great walk, beautiful sounds of nature, not crowded at all.
It will good for sunset
Great easy hike. No shade, but nice breeze from the bay. Lots of birds. Note: entered trail from Alviso Park since Don Edwards Refuge parking lot is closed due to COVID.
Pretty views and lots of birds. Not much less. Straight, flat, and long.
No shade, good walk when cloudy.
Nice walk without any shade. a paradise if you like birds.
Wear a facemask for the first half at least, as the wind blows the smell into your face. Other than that, smooth run. The wind cools you down constantly.
Trail is along the salt marshes in the south part of the bay. Can get hot due to no shade but the constant breeze makes it pleasant for the most part. Lots of birds and tons of flies.
need to wait for the mud to dry out and it will be fun. super thick mud 1 mile or so into to the trail.
if you can get past the bay Marshland smell I think it's really beautiful easy Trail to get some step counts in that is by the water front
I tried to hike it this morning. There was like 50 mosquitoes per cubic feet of air you have to go through. Gave up after going half a mile into Mallard Slough Trail. There were some nice birds around, but when you constantly need to wave your hands to make your way through mosquitoes, those can't get enough attention.
