The ascent was rough for me. But worth the view!!

Loved it....continued along bakers beach and got as close to the bridge as we were able. Awesome views.

Interesting but short...

The tiled steps are quite beautiful, if you go in the middle of the day. Avoid the crowds

This is a really beautiful stop. The steps and landscaping are very well done. Don’t just climb to the top of the steps; continue on to the top of Grand View Park for sweeping views all the way from Golden Gate Park to Downtown San Francisco.

Enjoyed the walk with my family! We went on a Friday and it was busy. Parking took a little time to find but well worth it!

Easy walk down to the beach. You can book to camp there too. Finding parking on top was a pain since there’s very limited space. There was no swing when I went.

One of a kind... Have to do this when visiting SF!

We are tied to hikes that allow dogs. We are running out of places but happy to find this trail. Coming from the East Bay in Walnut Creek it was very pleasant to have a sea breeze and a touch of fog. Not the typical trail found in the east bay. We loved it. Only managed 3 miles but a nice get away from home.
Lots of birds, brown pelicans are abundant here.

Really enjoyed the first 2/3 of this trail... the steady ascent up the Miwok worked our lungs but didn’t overwhelm us, and the views as we picked up the Coastal were lovely (we were lucky enough to get a fog-free, sunny day). We were tired and cut over back to the parking spot along the Lagoon trail instead of going down to the point, will have to check that out next time.

Didn’t hike much of it but it was like being in an army base

I accessed Upper Fisherman's Trail from the Coastal Trail at the top of Conzelman Road. There are 296 steps down to the road where you access the rest of the trail to the beach. Some great views and the steps are a quick workout. The trail map showing 0.5mi is not quite right as the rest of the trail to the top is not included. Great trail, doesn't take much time, but good to be in shape for the ascent!

The bottom part of this “hike” is a confusing mixture of parking lots and unmarked segments of “trail” some of which join up with each other, some of which just wander off and dead end. If you, like me, hike to get out in nature and away from people, don’t bother with the bottom third of the trail. Park near rodeo beach and go from there. If you’re looking for the scenic, tourist spots then that’s ok too and the bottom third of the hike will be perfect for you. Once you get out of the crowds, this trail is stunning, even on foggy days.

Just had a little time in the morning so we just did the coastal trail out to the lookout point and then back and up to the batteries. Very pretty, cool history with the batteries. Love the west coast shoreline.

Loved going to Angel Island and hiking! The Sunrise trail is the best way to go to have beautiful views as you climb up. Make sure to go thru the thick brush trail at the top and go to the very top, stand on the picnic table and be amazed at the 360 view!!! Nothing beats that view of San Francisco and the entire bay, all bridges, and more! Our 12, 8 and 6 year kids were mesmerized themselves seeing all the bridges, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The ferry ride, little beach, sea lions and more were a plus as we waited our return to SF.

I also advise to wear layers, pants are important as it is thick brush with thorns in some areas and lots of thistle. With pants it was no big deal for us and kiddos. It was quite windy at the top (mid-June).

beautiful space to relax and get out of the house

The most amazing views! Walking down is the easy part because it’s all downhill but going back up is a little more challenging! I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Hiked clockwise from the parking lot across from the east side of Rodeo Lagoon. Hiking time: 2 hr 34 min.

Great view of the bridge and water access. Highly recommend

Great view of the ocean and great weather for hiking. This is more of a hard hike because of it he distance.

I am not into distance running, yet I am way into running elevation/short bursts/steps and I can say that the two sets of steps here, which provide access to Marshall's Beach and Baker Beach, are both excellent for training. Whether you want it slow and low (aerobic) or hard and disgusting (anaerobic) you can make that happen here.

So cool step and nice views

Iconic. Legendary. A must see.

I had a very good time. Enjoyed the nature very relaxing and the best part is that I could take my dog.

Beautiful scenery. This hike is relatively easy (some parts uphill), and goes through various landscapes, from coastal views to historical landmarks. Perfect time of the year to catch the blossoming flowers. Make sure to go to the lighthouse. Unfortunately for us, NPS only allows access to it on Sundays from 12:30pm to 3pm this time of the year.

Great beach and bluff exploring with great views of the Bridge. Overnight camping a The Presido Rob Hill Campground
