A very challenging trail. If you are afraid of heights and drop offs this is not the hike for you. The waterfalls at the end are beautiful and refreshing with a nice cool breeze. It would be nice if there were 1 mile markers but I suppose it helped me push on not knowing. The trail is very narrow with steep drop offs at some points. I did see a couple of young kids elementary school age but I’m assuming they were used to hiking w their dad as they were coming down and didn’t seem bothered. I also saw a woman backpacking with a 6 or 8 month old child that was fast asleep coming down. I recommend this trail for sure.

HikingGreat!

Started at 9:30 from the parking lot across the highway from the campground - there is a very small dirt lot at the trailhead near campsite 14 at the campground but it only cuts off about a quarter mile and may not be worth it. This a nicely maintained trail. The first 2 miles is exposed to sun and will likely be very hot starting in the next few weeks. There is significant poison oak on either side of the trail for the middle few miles, so watch out for that. Some parts are cut out of the bedrock and have very sharp edges, I would recommend a boot or a thick soled shoe. The falls themselves are very impressive as the water as cut out some awesome shapes in the softer quartz and left the granite behind. The wildflowers were also blooming almost the whole way. There are a few desert like areas and we quite a few large lizards.

Awesome moderate hike with a pretty good payoff at the end! The trail itself is pretty well maintained, and on weekdays you won't run into more than like 10 other hiking groups for the entire trip. It winds around the side of a mountain, with about half the trail green, covered, and full of ferns, and the other half containing desert flora and fauna. I'd recommend sunscreen probably, and possibly bug spray if you are someone who gets bitten a lot! Have fun!!

HikingGreat!

This was a forgiving moderate hike! Especially after a taxing, rough, 12.5 mile hike in the snow the day before! This hike was worth it to see the beautiful landscape that changes as you climb higher and see the marble rock formations. There are a few sketchy parts of the trail right before you get to the waterfall. The entire trail is narrow and rocky, but it’s worth doing! The falls make a beautiful rest point and the sound can lull you to sleep! My favorite part about the entire trail, just as you feel that you’re getting your butt kicked, the trail levels out and gives you a nice break before climbing up again. And there are plenty of steps along the path. Bad knees be warned coming back down, it’s brutal - keep in mind that I was injured hiking this trail. This trail would have been a breeze had my knees not been blown out from yesterday’s hike!

Follow AllTrails and you’ll be fine. Beautiful waterfall! Wish I brought mosquito spray. Gnats and mosquitoes were a bit annoying.

Was very hot, and the trail itself is very difficult to find with poor signage all around. Not one I’d particularly recommend, but not a bad trail by any means

Nice hike. Although it was challenging! Went with my kids ages 14 and 16. We complained a lot! Lol. But in the end, happy we did it. Definitely go early, wear hiking boots!!! A lot of rock that starts to take a toll on bottoms of your feet if your in sneakers. Make sure you bring enough water, especially if you go later in the day when it is hot.

we started about 1:15 p.m. that's too late to start, although it's partially in the shade, even for a nice not too hot day today it was still very warm. I would have rated this between moderate and hard. single file the entire way up and down, you definitely need good boots or sneakers with great grip because of the shale, rocks, loose dirt, great waterfall.

Loved this hike! It is mostly shaded, but I highly recommend going early for the exposed parts of the trail. The hike has a gradually increase but is doable with good hiking boots and hiking poles. It is very narrow in some parts and you can only go through single file. I would not recommend this hike for someone who is afraid of heights, but if we’re going to go do not look to your left because the elevation is no joke. The waterfall at the end was beautiful white marble rock everywhere. I must admit once I saw the waterfall to my left in the distance I thought I was almost there. I was very wrong and the trail takes you on another loop before you get to it.

Beautiful day, tho we went a bit late which was too hot foe the incline but worth it. The falls are really nice and serene. Forgot to record the way back but took us about an hour to get back.

HikingGreat!

Parked at lot across from Potwisha (not realizing there were a few spots at the trail head in the camp ground). 7.33 miles roundtrip with 1600 ft elevation gain. I would recommend you start this hike in the morning b/c it was HOT on the trail today. Took us about 1h45m to reach the falls. Spent about an hour relaxing at the falls, climbing around, pix, etc. 1h15m back down. Would allocate about 4 hours roundtrip. There is no technical challenge to this hike but the trail to the falls is essentially ALL uphill.

Pleasant trail to lovely waterfalls ! The majority of the trail is hard packed earth so very easy footing and the last third is rocky but not difficult. The incline is pretty shallow and steady making for a pretty easy 12km hike. Trail is narrow so can be a little difficult passing others.

Great hike! Narrow trail with steady incline and occasional scrambling over rocks. The waterfalls at the end are great to look at as you unwind from the hike. I’ll definitely want to come around summer to see how it’s like.

Great day hike - easy to get to if you want to visit sequoia but avoid the snow at higher elevation. Really beautiful and a nice mix of flat trail and rocks. Waterfall was a great end. Easy parking past the campsite. Would do again!
