Beautiful drive, passable without chains today.
This was a beautiful drive! We seen two baby black bears, and 6 deers! There were two sets of momma deers and their babies! We went a little further than the end mark and loved it! The roads were well maintained as well
Awesome scenic drive with plenty of trailheads along the way to pull over and take a hike! Has several areas to pull off and let other cars pass or to take a picture. Very relaxing cruise with phenomenal scenery!
The drive from the entrance of the park all the way through the park is gorgeous. Just right after the Ash Mountain entrance is the Indian Head River Trailhead that has a quick tenth of a mile hike from the parking lot to the river that offer a spectacular river.
Beautiful drive with plenty of areas to stop and walk around
A great road to take you through all the popular destinations at sequoia national park
After spending the previous day exploring Kings Canyon National Park along the spectacular Kings Canyon Scenic Byway, we traveled the impressive Generals Highway to see many of the wonderful sights in Sequoia National Park (including several in the Giant Forest...the General Sherman tree, the Big Trees Trail, Moro and Beetle Rocks, the Crescent Meadow and Tharps Log Trails). We particularly enjoyed the views at the southern end of the road, where it is steep and winding with many switchbacks.
