Awesome Hike to the worlds largest tree
The walk through the massive Sequoias is just ideal. Carry on to the Eagle View trail for glorious views of the high Sierras.

Love this place!!!
Beautiful views at the end. Huge payoff for the extremely short hike.
A must-do hike to see general sherman in its glory. The trail is quite crowded due to being the main attraction in sequoia national park.
When you are able to take a photo with the famous tree, I recommend asking someone to take a vertical panoramic photo bc that’s the only way you’ll be able to fit the whole tree in a photo!
This trail is worth the hike because of the amazing views! The driving road up to the trail was closed so you have to walk 20 minutes up a slow incline snowy road to get to the trailhead. Highly recommend this hike, took just over an hour and half to do it all!
Good short hike with beautiful views.
beautiful valley hike. Lots of wildflowers and wildlife. I saw a bear off in the distance! Moderate traffic. This hike is a great hike to get some good pictures.
Largest tree by mass in the entire world. No other words needed.
Shorter hike with amazing payoff. I don't know that I have ever seen such an amazing 360 degree view. I have been to Moro Rock more times than I can remember. Any time someone comes into town for a visit this is the first place I take them. A hike for all ages. Stairs all the way up and around the rock to the top. The views along the way are also beautiful! Two cons about this hike is that you are taking stairs all the way up, a little less than a half mile, and then it can be very crowded. But TRUST ME! It is so worth it.
Very easy hike and mostly paved. I don't really prefer paved hikes but that is just me. But I loved the sequoia trees. It is so peaceful once you get a ways in and the smells are like no other!
Outstanding hike. Scenery second to none!
Awesome views!
Go early to beat the huge crowds.
Crowded but worth the view.
Beautiful loop.
Giant trees
Friends saw a bear and I didn’t
Scary ?
If you love grand views of mountain ranges and valleys than the summit of Moro Rock trail will not disappoint you. The hike is extremely crowded, and parking is scarce but the fight to get the top of this short 0.4-mile trail will be well worth it once you finally see the view. This trail has some slight rock climbing which helped add a little more character.
If you are accessing the Congress Trail from General Sherman Tree trail than you will be delighted to know that the Congress Trail is peaceful and lightly trafficked “at least the day we went” unlike General Sherman Trail. If you enjoy seeing Sequoia’s than this trail is a must, this trail provided up close views of hundreds of Sequoia’s.
How can you go to Sequoia National Park without seeing the largest tree alive today? It’s easier to deal with the crowds of people if you remember that your not hiking this trail for peace and serenity but that you are here to see The General Sherman Tree that measures 36.5 feet in diameter, 180 feet high and weighs 1,385 pounds. The park recommends taking the shuttle to the trailhead but if you go early you can find a place to park. After seeing the General Sherman Tree we kept hiking onto the Congress Trail where we saw less than 5 people and tons of Sequoia’s and we were even able to pick up a shuttle at another trailhead back to our car. My point is, if you deal with the people for 0.8 miles and keep hiking you will end up having a great peaceful hike.
Beautiful little look out. The parking lot is right at the base of this thing. Not hard at all. Sunrises up there are stunning!
The best view ever!!!

Definitely a shorter hike, but still worth wild. The view at the end was incredible.
This trail was very easy and fun to explore!
it's alright for those who are sight-seeing. it's become far too much of a tourist trap though - get there early to avoid crowds
First time hike. It’s really steep but so worth it. There are pit stops so you can regain your breath. It’s pretty view of the mountains. Would love to go again
