trail head visibly marked ,sad to say valley air terrible due to wildfires. Family and I came up from nearby Hanford to take day hike, enjoyed it very much, trail easy to hike maintained as a trail could be as always trip hazards one in particular was a steel post for embankment reinforcements was protruding up out of ground at a trail corner cutback. EOL the falls well worth hike falls were running well had lunch took a little nap headed back, traffic light on trail encountered 1 family on trail and at falls another couple showed up. anyway a great way to enjoy nature

trail head was visibly marked sad to say valley air was terrible due to wildfires. Trail itself was easy to hike temps were excellent, 70ish traffic real light 1 other fasmily on trail end result were the falls they were running well had lunch and a little nap headed back nice day hike.

Depends on the time we here you though it can be very nice or very buggy!

Cool short hike. The only problem is since it’s so short, it’s very popular so you can’t really hike your speed because of the crowd.

I hiked Weaver Saturday 11/10. Great trail. Nice easy day hike. I wish I started a little earlier though. I didn’t get to the trailhead until after 12:30pm. It would’ve been cool to have had more time to hangout at the lake. There is so much to see up there! The only reason this one didn’t get 5 stars from me is because the smoke from all the surrounding fires has left a thick haze

Hiked this trail 11/3/2018. Wonderful day hike. Started at 10 am, it was about 58 degrees. Took 1 hour 10 minutes for me to reach the lake. Steady uphill climb, with beautiful views along the way. Beautiful quiet lake. About 64 degrees by the time I reached the lake. Spent about 1 hour 30 minutes there. I did a little catch and release fly fishing....no luck, but it was a great time. Others at the lake had dogs who seemed to really enjoy the water! Hike down took about 1 hour. I can definitely see doing the loop trail as a 3-4 day backpacking trip.

This is a great day hike! It is not too steep or hard of a hike up to a rewarding view. Only took me 45 minutes to get to the lake where I sat and enjoyed Weaver, ate some lunch, and soaked in the sunshine. The hike back down was just as quick. I parked at the Fox Meadows trailhead. The road to get there wasn't terrible, but could be a little sketch for some. Honestly wishing I had started from Big Meadows trailhead to get a longer hike out of the deal but I didn't know they connected beforehand. Looking forward to doing the loop to Jennie sometime!

Lovely walk with stunning clear lake at the end. Went start of November so trail was very quite. Small incline all the way to the lake but not tough at all. The walk took us 4.5 hours but we stopped for a while (probs 45 mins) at the lake to relax and also walked round the lake. Round the lake there is no clear trail so have to climb over rocks through small bushes but isn’t too difficult. There are toilets at the trailhead and decent amount of parking

Definitely a favorite hike of mine!

Overall, an easy hike through the sequoias to the stair climb. Beautiful views of the valley all through out the trail and tons of wild life. The stair climb can be difficult but their are plenty of places to stop and break and enjoy the views before reaching the insane panoramic views at the top. Get their early before it gets busy to truly appreciate it :)

Hiked up to Weaver lake, started at 10 am and got there at about 12pm. The hike it self is pretty easy. The trail is marked all the way. Beautiful sight of the lake as you reach the end of the trail. Trout were biting, did a bit of catch and release. It was the weekend so it started to get pretty crowded about 3pm. Would like to backpack around the lakes next time.

We are visiting CA from CO and we landed on this trail. It was an easy trot and worth the views. There were about 20 others on the trail to go along with 3-4 black bears. DO NOT use the directions link for this trail. We spent about an hour on the wrong trail haha. Follow the directions from some of the previous comments. Enjoy!!

great trail second time this week

Easy trail and well marked. The lake is beautiful and plenty of trout to catch. Camping in the area was nice but was crowded for the weekend, it emptied out after Sunday night. Good trail for beginners with a gradual elevation gain the entire way to the lake. No bug problems either.

Great trail during late October.

Short and steep hike up about 400 steps. Incredible panoramic views. Not for the person with vertigo.

Saved this trail for last on this day, and the weather cooperated! Wind was not bad, sun was also not bad, temperature was in the 40's. Saw two ravens on way up next to trail. Parking can be a problem at trailhead lot, so I had to wait till someone left. Stairs up were not too bad just take your time, take in the awesome views and you will get to the top. This is a very popular trail so be patient. This is not one you will have to yourself, unless you come really early.

Virtual Treadmill video of this hike can be seen on my YouTube Channel, copy and paste link below to watch it. Thanks.

Went to this trail on July 1st.
Easy climb up the stairs with amazing views at the top.
Check the weather before you go because it can be really intense on a hot day, wear your sunscreen.
The only challenge is that the stair passageway is a little narrow and it can be hard to pass by your fellow trail friends
Check it out for sure!

I've done this one many times and it is worth it each time. The view of the Sierra Mountains is unlike anything else. There are quite a few stairs, but if you take them at a leisurely pace, it is too difficult. Every time I have been here there are always lots of tourists, so just be prepared to be patient. It is not too long of a distance, but if you are afraid of heights be aware there are a couple sections that you come very close to the edge.

What a great Sequoia “foothill” trail. It is rated as moderate but there are some hard spots. Since it had rained earlier in the week, there were no bees or wasps and very little dust. This is the perfect time to hike this trail, the falls may not be at their fullest, but leaves are starting to turn and some fall flowers were blooming.
The trail head is at the very end of the Potwisha campground. If that parking is full, you can park across the road. We recommend good shoes and polls or a hiking stick.
Cannot wait to do this trail in the Spring when the falls are full!

Breathtaking views. The trail is steep, but well worth it.

Tip: Check the weather prior to climbing.

Too easy! Did it in 10 minutes and sunrise is amazing there !

nice little hard hike lol

I accomplished this trail today. Beautiful weather and few people there. Haven't hiked in awhile and it was a little rough coming down (wrong shoes). Deffinitely going to do this trail in the spring next time! No bees thst I noticed.
