Nice hike and climbing trail

Just completed this hike. And it was phenomenal! One of my favorite hikes in Sedona, debating between this and Devil's Bridge. Very well shaded trail with plenty of creek crossings. I would rate this hike moderate based off distance, but the actual hike is relatively flat. We stopped where the water was getting too deep, but you can go a lot further based from what we heard from locals. Be sure to get to the parking lot early as it does get really crowded. An absolute must do hike if you're in Sedona!

Always a treat! the first time I did this trail was in October and I ran it. the trail is heavily trafficked. surprisingly it wasn't too busy. Out and back 7.42 miles.

One of sedona's best hikes, but be sure to leave plenty of time.

there are really three parts to the hike to know and plan around. The first big climb up to the bench, part 2 to the summit trails, and part three which is typically a quick 10 min to the Sedona lookout, or another 30-40 min to the north lookout.

if you really want to explore the best parts of the hike, plan lots of extra time!

Small walk to sign off bucket list. Looks like ants walking up and down. Horrible parking, chaos.

Super nice seven mile hike on maintained trail system. Many stream crossings and 800 foot rise hiking in.

Fern, oak, elm and pine primal rain forest setting. Inside protected wet canyon under canopy of trees.

Grapes, black berries and small apples all good to eat on the hike.

Stream crossings are slick and mossy. I witnessed several slip and falls.

Great hike. Takes about 4 hours if you don’t take breaks.

It was raining on my hike and was super nice.

Great hike with great views. Hiked out to both overlooks. Got pretty warm on the way down

Fun hike with beautiful views throughout

08.08.18 Late review. Permit required. They have a list with names as long as you didnt purchase it the same day. Use a high clearance vehicle!! I do not recommend using a sedan, I rented a Nissan Rouge for this trip. Went last week during the rains / hail and hiked the entire trail. It was marvolus! Gorgeous fall after fall. Will definitely go again when it's not raining. Was afraid of flash flood.

Nice hike, beautiful views.

A bit crowded by the beaches but nice walk under the trees.

Sure.. the pictures that you can take are pretty, but on this extremely heavily trafficed tour it was impossible to walk in a decent way... so in my eyes not an actual trail. The guid was almost rude and didn't focus on anything but where and how to take the pictures. Didn't learn anything about the history of the canyon. My point of view.. a total waste of 180 dollar and my time.

A little disappointing of a hike for Sedona standards. The trail is closer to 6.7 miles and the best views are near the beginning of the trail. It is well shaded in the trees, but pretty boring. There is a pretty good view of the canyon at the end of the hike, but I would recommend a different hike in Sedona.

This is a fairly easy walk down to the bend. The view is awesome. You can walk right up to the edge and look down. Make sure you keep an eye on those little ones. Its a bit scary because there is nothing holding you back. Worth the hike. Bring water with you.

absolutely loved this Trail. A little more traffic than I thought it would have especially in July. Make sure you have plenty of water -there is no reliable water on the trail. I repeat- bring plenty of water, a cover for your head, and long sleeves. don't feel like I need to say it but make sure you bring sunscreen. The trail is pretty easy to follow there's one place within a mile up, go to your right although theTrail looks like it should go on the left-- that's the only hiccup

Nice hike, great views. Loop is not clearing marked

it's a great trail and isn't hard but a lot of lose gravel on the trail so lots of spots one can slip if your not paying attention.

Nice short easy hike. Great view of the surrounding area.

Great for all ages, easy 1 mile hike if parked in the designated water parking lot. Must have and reserve pass ahead of time.

We found this to be easier than cathedral. Both are worth it. No one at doe mountain this morning. It was spectacular and so quiet. I guess you gotta get high to get away from it all! Definitely worth the hike. Early morning is best!

A really great view not that long or hard of a walk. But be prepared to get sand in your boots. Also parking is limited and there’s a lot of tourists. If you need to go to the bathroom do it before you start the trail.

Great hike that leads you on two adventures. Go up to the top and then hike down to the river. Parking is in the middle. Lovely day!

Highlight of our trip! If you love climbing and exploring, this trail is for you! A very easy 3 mi out and back trail that has a huge payoff at the end! Highly recommend climbing up into the rocks and exploring around. So beautiful and you feel like you’re on a different planet.

Very easy to get off the main trail! We were off track for about 30 minutes. If you ever question “is this the trail?” You’re not on it!! The main trail is about 3 ft wide the whole way. Pretty easy to cross the creek - need some balance at some parts. Would recommend wearing hiking boots and bring plenty of water!

Easy walking trail mostly on red sand. Highly recommend climbing the rock wall at the end of the trail - AMAZING views of Sedona!

Overall really fun hike. Not too hard. There’s a lot of sun exposure for the first couple of miles so make sure to bring lots of water! The water features are worth the hike!

Exposed with little shade. Swimming in creek was the best part!

IT IS VERY DIFFICULT, a proper pack out is needed, water triple what you normally need due to the steep mountain climbs, proper hiking boots and trek polls. those things save your knees and the in some parts it's loose and slick. what for rain the hike becomes harder when it rains and the trail gets slicker. plan 5 hours round trip which should in could breaks in along the way and at the arch. That first steep hike up is the worst part, suck it up and do it. It down hill after that to the arch. rest for a bit and on your way back that hike back up is not too had not so steep but the poles really help you here. enjoy the scenery it takes the pain away. once at the summit it all down hill and moves fast watch for lightening. there is alot of areas there that shows lightening strikes alot in that canyon.

Poor parking, heavily trafficked. beautiful view at the half way decent.

I cannot understand anyone rating thus hike, beliw a five star. Excellent condition. Amazing canyon walls. Beautiful.
