Very pretty loop with nice views of Cathedral Rock. It was quite a bit longer than 2 miles, though, according to my pedometer. Probably closer to 3. We started on the creek side and went clockwise, which turned out to be more difficult, but it was still really lovely. Almost everyone else was coming the opposite way and had more downhill.

Awesome views and trail!

We used Baldwin as our starting point to Cathedral Rock (via Templeton) and completed the Baldwin Loop on our return. It's a pretty hike and not strenuous.

We arrived around 10 am on a Sunday in early November and didn't have any trouble with parking. I definitely recommend this as a way to avoid the crowds parking at Cathedral Rock, but I probably wouldn't do Baldwin again on its own because it doesn't offer much that you won't see on other hikes in the area.

One of my favorite hikes in Sedona, wear good shoes!

Very nice trail, 10 dollars to get in, worth it.

Nice hike. Not too difficult but the incline and abundant loose rocks make this more moderate than easy. It not hard to slip on the loose rocks

We took this trail traveling counterclockwise the morning after a storm. The scenery and views were spectacular around every corner. We encountered few hikers coming clockwise, but otherwise had the trail mostly to ourselves.

This one was a wonderful surprise. absolutely loved the climb/scramble to the top and the view was breathtaking. Definitely one you should take on while visiting Sedona but definitely need to be in good shape if you plan on going to the top. So gorgeous!! Loved this one!

Recommended for late afternoon or sunset hike. Elevation and direction changes are steady, but no steep climbing involved. Picturesque scenery awaits in every direction, including majestic Cathedral Rock views.

Gorgeous blue skies and puffy white clouds with occasional cloud cover for a not to hot hike the 23rd of September. The trail meandered up and down, through evergreen and deciduous trees, over red rock outcroppings with freqent views of Cathedral Rock and Wilson mountain. We took a little off shoot to the picturesque creek with stunning views of Cathedral Rock. one of my go to hikes as it is so close to work!

Great hike however there are no signs anywhere so we did get lost for a second but some locals helped us out. We parked at crescent moon lot and crossed the river by the vortex. You will have to take your shoes off because there is almost no way to cross it without some water getting on you so account for that. From there on now it’s a nice easy hike through the forest by the river and you’ll get to snap the iconic picture of the Cathedral Rock from the meadows. You need to go down Baldwin trail until it splits into Templeton trail, which there is no sign for, just keep following the river. You’ll eventually go through some switchbacks and onto the cathedral rock ascent you’ll venture. It was lots of fun but definitely not for everybody. A lot of people turned around at he base of it but it’s definitely worth the climb.

Terrific short loop with lots of scenery. I went in early evening. The shadows were long and I got some great pictures.

Very easy and extremely beautiful!! Highly recommend this trail

Got started later than planned, so trek back to car was mostly sun and hot. Beautiful views and lots of diversity as trail descends to a river. I would recommend this trail.

Did this hike at noon with one small bottle of water. Lots of mountain bikers on trail today. Vortexes along the way.

Awesome! Easy and beautiful views. Would go back for sure! Lots of creatures to see and find which my 3 year old loved! Water was chilly but my family loved it

Don’t start on the river side of the loop expecting an easy hike completing the loop. The route back is rough, very much longer than advertised and into the sun.

A bit crowded by the beaches but nice walk under the trees.

Beautiful back country. Not well marked, but you will be fine if you have a decent sense of direction.
Can’t beat the seeing both Bell Rock and The Buttes from every angle. Strong vibes here.

Nice morning hike. Start early take plenty of water as it gets hot quick.

I started this trail but did not finish. It’s relatively easy, but you MUST bring enough water on a hot day. We did not bring enough water, so we decided to turn back, also because we had just gotten off the plane and we’re pretty tired as it was, plus it was very hot. What I didn’t like about this hike is that, truly, it was kind of boring. It’s literally a loop around Courthouse Butte, so there aren’t many other sights other than Bell Rock. It’s also not very well marked, I found it to be confusing.

Easy enough hike assuming it isn’t too warm and the crowds aren’t too bad. We had fun exploring the area and taking in the amazing views.

Nice easy walk. Good for kids and the grandparents.

Awesome sights. The trail was not marked very well though

Beautiful views! Yes you do need to cross the creek to get the best views and experience. Sit on a rock and let your feet dangle in the water rushing over rocks. One of my favorite Sedona experiences. It can be slippery, but hold on and go slow. So amazing! It’s worth the entrance fee and you’ll get the best pictures and make unforgettable memories!

Beautiful mixture of both red rocks and forest feel. Great and easy loop to do and connects to other scenic trails and creeks as well.

Nice easy hike along the river. Arrive early on weekends, parking lot fills up fast.

Did this as part of the bell rock hike. Quite and peaceful except on North side. We had several bike groups go by on north side. The other sides were very quite we found the east and north east side of butte very pretty with moderate trails. I’d do this again for sure.
