Incredible the whole way, amazing views, beautiful day. Coming back we did get confused and we where lost for some time until a biker should us how to get back on track. I am no expert and could do it, but took me many hours to do the complete loop. Would definitely recommend it!

Very pretty loop with nice views of Cathedral Rock. It was quite a bit longer than 2 miles, though, according to my pedometer. Probably closer to 3. We started on the creek side and went clockwise, which turned out to be more difficult, but it was still really lovely. Almost everyone else was coming the opposite way and had more downhill.

This is an incredibly special trail, though quite difficult in many areas especially for people like me afraid of heights! Particularly when the wind is whipping threatening to tear you off the rock face! Not for the faint of heart. Scenery is spectacular the entire trek. We went counterclockwise and at the bottom the sign reads: difficult, technical skills needed! One of the harder hikes, not moderate. Loved the excitement and beauty. Don’t miss this trail.

Must do if you are in the area! Nice loop trail with great views.

This is a phenomenal trail for one that is rated easy: incredible views within the first mile and very little elevation gain. If you have just one hour in Sedona this is the trail for you. Less than 3 minutes from Rte 179. We had come out of the Grand Canyon the day before and our legs were shot - this was the perfect easy trail to still get a taste of Sedona.

The only downside: the perfect solitude and quiet was obliterated first by a pink Jeep and then by a band of ATVs . Would have been a 5 star without that

Love this hike as well. Chicken point is amazing

This is NOT an easy trail for mountain biking. There are a few sections that are very difficult to ride (especially when going up to Chicken Point) but it’s not that hard to walk your bike through these sections, and it’s worth it!

When you get up to Chicken Point, hang out awhile and enjoy the amazing views. You might be lucky enough to se someone riding “The White Line”. You can continue riding around back to “the Hogs” or go back down and make your first left and rip down Llama. It’s a fun trail that you can ride fast.

Was a long loop trail but so wonderful. Go counterclockwise at the loop.

Beautiful vista at the end but this trail is much more of a moderate than an easy. There are stretches where you go up rocks on the path that could be hazardous if your footing is not good. A lot of bikes on the narrow parts of the trail make for tough going in some parts. Bring water! Budget more time than you think. Also be sure to wear a hat, as there is little shade.

Lots of fun. Beautiful views. Easy on the knees. Easy parking lot access.

If you can only do one hike, do this one. We took a left at the cow pie/hangover sign post, going counter clockwise around the trail. Bikes have to take the cow pie trail (right at the sign post) to get to hangover trail. I was glad to be heading towards bikers rather than having them come up behind us. The views are amazing. This is a challenging hike...not hard, but definitely on the more difficult side of moderate. It took us about 3.5 hours to do the 8+ miles. We weren’t hustling, but kept a decent pace.

We used Baldwin as our starting point to Cathedral Rock (via Templeton) and completed the Baldwin Loop on our return. It's a pretty hike and not strenuous.

We arrived around 10 am on a Sunday in early November and didn't have any trouble with parking. I definitely recommend this as a way to avoid the crowds parking at Cathedral Rock, but I probably wouldn't do Baldwin again on its own because it doesn't offer much that you won't see on other hikes in the area.

Favorite hike in Sedona. Awesome variation in ecology and amazing views on Hangover. A lot of the hike in ON the red rocks, which is very cool. Take plenty of water and good, grippy hiking shoes.

You need to be comfortable on smooth (generally not slippery or overly steep) rock faces and narrow trails near drop-offs, but it's not overly technical or arduous. Definitely recommend going counter-clockwise so you're going up the only rock faces that don't have switchbacks.

We arrived around 9 am on a Saturday in early November and were able to park in the lot, although it was definitely filling up.

Great trail! Lots of mountain bikers but we didn’t have problem and there was 4 humans and 2 dogs.

Phenomenal views! Great place to take in a sunset. Steep but doable climb. It was twilight as we were leaving and we heard coyotes.

Amazing red rock views! As Carrie C mentioned, DO NOT do the loop as shown. It has you returning on the Jeep road, which is usually busy with vehicles. If you're looking for a loop, return via High on the Hog and Twin Buttes. Really recommend the short side trail to Submarine Rock. Easy to summit and great trail. Also mushroom rock, just before you get to chicken point. Broken Arrow is often crowded with people and Jeeps but well worth it.

if you do one hike in sedona, this is it. 3.5 hrs of epic views and fun hiking. less people, easy to get to, good workout, not alot of elevation gain. the saddle for lunch is the best you will find.

One of the best hikes we have done. We parked at the split of Munds Wagon and Hangover. The road to get there is very rocky. We hiked the trail counter clockwise. The views are amazing! Got caught in a thunderstorm and had to seek shelter. Amazing to watch the water run off the rocks.

Very nice easy hike with beautiful scenery and views.

5 star review is exactly what this trail deserves. I hiked/ran it and loved the experience. October was really nice weather wise. Not cold and not hot. Great experience and good signage.

Well marked trail. Be aware of mountain bikers who are generally very considerate. Lots of options to branch off to Submarine rock, Twin Buttes, and others.

My friend and I completed this short little trek on the evening of 10/13. We started our hike at 5 pm and returned to our car around 6:30 pm. The hike itself only took 45 minutes, but we spent some time on top of Sugarloaf taking in the views.

We were initially a bit discouraged, as it had been raining on and off all day long, and just as we were about to give up, the skies opened up and we were blessed with the gift of blue skies and sunshine!

We reached the summit of Sugarloaf right as the sun was beginning to burst through the clouds, providing us with a vibrant canvas of purple, pink, orange and yellow. We shared this magnificent sunset with just two other people, and it was the perfect way to conclude an absolutely majestic day in Sedona!

This is a very easy hike that provides 360 degree views of the town and surrounding valley. An ideal spot to catch a sunset and end your day!

Nice trail with many scenic views of the red rock formations all along the trail.
I would consider this moderate hike, as it is a gradual but steady incline on the way to Chicken Point, which by the way offers a great payoff at the end.
We did this hike today, it was sunny and warm, so bring at LEAST 2 bottles of water with you. When the Jeep tours left, it was just us two for a little while at the top. Very memorable to just sit here and take it all in.

Absolute favorite hike in Sedona. Great and varied views. Nice level of challenge

This was a great hike! I am not a big fan of heights and managed just fine. A few uncomfortable spots but for the most part amazing and the view is worth all of it!

Wide path, rocky in spots, steady uphill. Closer to moderate especially last 1/4 mile. Great view payoffs at Chicken Point. Fairly steady traffic.
