We hiked this trail with our 2 kids (10 and 8) and loved it!! Trails were clearly marked and take you through a variety of terrain that is a little bit challenging but still fun. Amazing views at every turn. We took this to Chapel trail and hiked all the way to Chapel of the Cross. A great way to spend a morning.

This was a nice quick hike! We did have a difficult time actually staying on the trail, however the AllTrails app helped. The view was beautiful, but don’t drive all the way out just for this hike. Lastly, as mentioned in previous reviews, this was more of a moderate hike!

Definitely have great views throughout the entire hike, Especially at the end. Very easy and relaxing hike.

Good scenery but mostly flat and not challenging

Very cool place.

Great little out and back walk/hike. Great trail for dogs. Very scenic and gorgeous backdrop for pictures.

Lovely walk/hike. Need good shoes if you’re going to walk across the water or may end up on some slippery rocks. So many spots to stop and sit and enjoy the scenery or take a dip in the cool waters. Truly lovely. Worth the stop. You can walk a little or a lot.

The trail’s rating should be moderate rather than easy. Plus, the mileage from the parking lot to Chicken Point and back was 4.5 miles, not 3.1. Great hike and beautiful views. Gary

This is a great trail to do after completing a few days of moderate/hard hiking trails. It offers beautiful views of Cathedral Rock.

Visiting again and looked for next hike in Sedona. Little Horse was best hike yet. So scenic and every turn was breathtaking. A “must-hike” for anyone visiting (and locals love it). Would recommend stiffer sole shoes.

Lovely hike. More moderate than easy.

Very enjoyable trail bit of trail finding as you climb the saddle but can’t really go wrong

Continues past chicken point but then loses in forest. Very poorly marked. Got directions from s pink jeep driver thanks a bunch!

Head out early for best views. Bring your GPS!

Easy, spectacular views the whole way, beautiful flowers, wasn't too crowded with a 9am start. Busier by 10am. Shared the summit with a jeep tour, but luckily they left pretty quickly and I enjoyed the views from the top to myself.

Margs trail itself is a easy, peaceful, low traffic trail. Very poorly marked though. If you are looking to hike up to Snoopy Rock, this part is very hard to find. We had to have a local guide us in the right direction. It is difficult to get up there, but once you do it’s so worth it. Before adventuring out I would stop by “The Hike House” on AZ-179, they did a great job guiding us to the trail head and gave us a realistic expectation of the hike.

Nice views, but end is a letdown.

Good trail, but be warned... Pig’s Tail loop is steep.

Busy. November so water was low and cold. Easy walk suitable for all ages. Fat flowing river surrounded by beautiful canyons. Picnic tables with charcoal grills. Could have spent the whole day just roaming around. $10 ample parking.

Did this a few years back. Nice views of the river.

Very pretty loop with nice views of Cathedral Rock. It was quite a bit longer than 2 miles, though, according to my pedometer. Probably closer to 3. We started on the creek side and went clockwise, which turned out to be more difficult, but it was still really lovely. Almost everyone else was coming the opposite way and had more downhill.

Love this hike as well. Chicken point is amazing

This is NOT an easy trail for mountain biking. There are a few sections that are very difficult to ride (especially when going up to Chicken Point) but it’s not that hard to walk your bike through these sections, and it’s worth it!

When you get up to Chicken Point, hang out awhile and enjoy the amazing views. You might be lucky enough to se someone riding “The White Line”. You can continue riding around back to “the Hogs” or go back down and make your first left and rip down Llama. It’s a fun trail that you can ride fast.

Beautiful vista at the end but this trail is much more of a moderate than an easy. There are stretches where you go up rocks on the path that could be hazardous if your footing is not good. A lot of bikes on the narrow parts of the trail make for tough going in some parts. Bring water! Budget more time than you think. Also be sure to wear a hat, as there is little shade.

Pretty but not much of a hike.

Essentially a nature walk through a residential area.

We used Baldwin as our starting point to Cathedral Rock (via Templeton) and completed the Baldwin Loop on our return. It's a pretty hike and not strenuous.

We arrived around 10 am on a Sunday in early November and didn't have any trouble with parking. I definitely recommend this as a way to avoid the crowds parking at Cathedral Rock, but I probably wouldn't do Baldwin again on its own because it doesn't offer much that you won't see on other hikes in the area.

Great trail! Lots of mountain bikers but we didn’t have problem and there was 4 humans and 2 dogs.

Trail is not well marked on portions of the loop and I would consider those portions moderate not easy. I reached the apex of the loop but could not locate the downward path so I simply made my way back to Margs.

Great scenery and some cool cave passages. The cave was a little hard to find, didn’t need to go all the way to the water and it’s under the rocks you are climbing down. There are better passages down and around the main cave...will have to do some rock scrambling. Short but sweet.

Nice trail with many scenic views of the red rock formations all along the trail.
I would consider this moderate hike, as it is a gradual but steady incline on the way to Chicken Point, which by the way offers a great payoff at the end.
We did this hike today, it was sunny and warm, so bring at LEAST 2 bottles of water with you. When the Jeep tours left, it was just us two for a little while at the top. Very memorable to just sit here and take it all in.
