Great hike really different from others in Sedona
Lots of water and pines and great views

Great hike, love all the water crossings. Went on a Wednesday, raining the whole time but still well worth it!

Glad I had water resistant hiking shoes!

Great views en route to an opportunity to climb up to a very special vista looking back through the canyon. Really special! Be aware though that there is no maintained trail to the “arch”. Rather you are able to ramble up a cliff at the end that is high enough to view the arch. Does not detract from the experience at all!

Go to the end of the trail, then go about 100 more yards up. You can thank me later

Go early to avoid the dust and crowds

Lovely walk through the trees with shade. Very busy though. Go early and avoid weekends

Bring lots of water. It was very sunny when we went. Great views.

Nice walk nice time to wrap up the day. Easy hike.

I would rate this hike as moderate due to the length and the steep scramble to the top.
The trail takes you through diverse terrain from desert to wooded forest.
Depending on the time of year, you should leave early. We left around 8:30A, (September 15) and by the time we completed the hike, the temp was 92F.

Beautiful scenic trail. I started at the mezcal trail head because the main trail head was way to crowded. It was a longer hike but well worth it.

beautiful as is!

Awesome trail for families. It’s not too short and not too long.

The trail is beautiful! Bring waterproof shoes or shoes you dont mind getting wet. Take an extra pair of socks too just in case they get wet. Love the creek at the end, it was fun to take off your boots and walk in the creek.
Parking is horrible at times. You might have to park right off the street.

An easy walk with closer view of red rock

Great views. Most of the trail is shaded and relatively level so it was a nice change of pace from some of the other trails near Sedona. The view at the end was well worth the 3 mile hike in

This is a beautiful trail. I went with my mom on my birthday and there was a lot of people hiking and waiting to take pictures on the trail but it was well worth it.

Well marked trail with beautiful vistas

Def. One of the hardest hikes of the trip! It’s not moderate! It’s hard. Once you’re on the top it requires lots of climbing to get to the top views. Is it worth it? 100%!!! The views are amazing !

Take water and snacks because you’ll def need it !

It’s a short climb to a picturesque bridge with an amazing valley back drop. Truly one of my favorites!

Really good hike, but I would say it is more strenuous than moderate only because it is steep and requires a lot of rock scrambling. When you get to the top, go to the left and climb further up for a second cool view!

Well worth early morning hike with the optional climb to arch mid way. Partially shaded along the way which helps in summer days. Fantastic up close views along the way and at the end. Would do again. Enjoy

Great moderate hike/climb. Start as early as possible to avoid heat and potential crowds. If you start the climb later in the morning and the heat kicks in, push through it will be worth it and along with the spectacular views up top. You’ll be gifted with shade and a cool breeze up top which makes the whole climb worth it! Pro tip sit and have lunch and a nap before you come back down Enjoy!

Beautiful trail. Easy going, but long enough for a good workout. Handful of really nice stream crossings and seems to get more dense and interesting the farther you go. Great for someone needing inspiration to finish a hike like myself. Ha!

If you want to avoid the Jeep trail and blowing dust use the Chuckwagon trail and park at the Mescal Trail Head parking. That will take you on about a 5 mile hike to Devils Bridge and back. If you are looking for a longer hike. Park a little farther down the road at the Chuckwagon trail head. (Across the street) and take the Chuckwagon trail in. That way. That hike had to be closer to 8 or 9 miles. But Chuckwagon is a nice hike in the trees frequented mostly by mtn bikers. As for the bridge there is nothing I can say that hasn’t been said 100 times. It is a spectacular view and you will meet plenty of new friends. It is tough at the top for us old folks with knees that don’t like bend the way they used to. But other than that it is a pretty easy climb.

Nice easy nature hike. Beautiful views of Canyon Formations.
