HikingGreat!

Great hike but crowded. But there is enough space at the top to spread out. People were nice enough to take pictures and wait their turn on the bridge. Wouldn’t do it again but glad I went

HikingGreat!

Sights are absolutely beautiful and worth the hike! Tons of traffic and lots of vehicles for about the first mile. Be prepared to climb towards the end. Also a very long wait to get onto the bridge for pictures.

HikingGreat!

We took the one mile trail from Mescal trailhead to Chuckwagon to theDevil’s bridge trailhead. The first mile was peaceful flowy trail through the woods and dry creek beds. The second mile was a mile long incline up 600 feet. Mostly gravel trail until you hit the stairs. You go up several flights of rock stairs. They’re nearly vertical, requiring both hands and feet for me. I’m overweight and out of shape and I made it up just fine by stopping to catch my breath here and there. The second mile is pretty crowded. We didn’t mind. We waited in line for the picture for about 45 minutes. The time flew by as you get to chatting with your neighbors and cheering on folks who bravely made their way on to the bridge. The bridge is wider than it looks but still something to respect. Loved all the other beautiful vistas and sights along this hike.

Very well marked and well maintained with great views the whole time. Excellent trail if you’re in Sedona. Pretty easy just a few steep sections I would say anyone could do this (saw older folks as well as young kids).

HikingGreat!RockyScramble

Take the chuck wagon trail up to Devils Bridge no crowds of people. There’s a little bit of incline once you get close to the bridge. There’s a long line (45 minutes) of tourist trying to get their picture taken on the bridge. We just looked at the view and left so many nicer views all around to be waiting on a line, like you’re at Disneyland. Around 200 people mainly tourist hiking up to Devils Bridge and maybe 40 people wearing a mask.... if you’re super covid safe you definitely don’t want to do this trail.

HikingGreat!

the first mile or so is pretty easy and then the last half gets a little more strenuous. once you get to the bridge it’s well worth it! an active dog would have no troubles either.

Wow! Great trail that takes you on all sorts of terrain - cliffs, rocky areas, sandy, woods, a stream, etc. you get to see everything! Lots of great views and not too challenging despite the length. I recommend going counterclockwise so you do the steepest part first.

Got here at 6:30 am on Saturday 2/27 and going to park, we saw a nearly full parking lot, despite coming early. The trail was not too difficult for the first 1 mile till the official trailhead but it got slightly more challenging with inclines till we got the steps which just took our breath away. Views were amazing at each stop along the trail we took but at the top the line had 15 or so people despite it only being 7 am, didn't get on the bridge but got pictures in front of it getting the beautiful Sedona landscape.

Well...the parking lot was full at 630 am, it was basically just a dirt road 3/4 of the way with an ok view then a quick steep climb that was easy then the best part when you get to the top you see 50 divas waiting to take a picture of themself on the bridge so you can’t just walk on the bridge to take it all in bc everyone just wants a photo of themself and it’s like a 45 min wait. Very disappointed. If you want an actual hike go elsewhere.

It was a challenging hike but fun! I didn’t like how many vehicles were going through so you had to keep stopping. But I would recommend for the beautiful view!

Way way way too crowded. Not a hike for hikers looking for peace in nature. First 2 miles is a dirt road. The last 1/2 mile is interesting with some steps and scrambles. The bridge is pretty but it’s a 2 hour wait to get on it. We did the entire (mostly) walk in 2 hours.

Highly recommended. Sunrise is worth waking up early for. Easy trail until the last 20 minutes. Gets sorta vertical for the last bit. Bring gloves if you’re going for the sunrise, it gets cold. Also bring flashlights if you are going for the sunrise.

HikingFeeGreat!

Absolutely wonderful. We completed almost, but not quite, the entire thing. Our trip ended up being about 5.2 miles rt vs 5.8. Most of it is pretty easy but for less in shape people, the last mile heading up gets tougher. You start on Munds Wagon, and a little less than 2 miles in, you will see a marked left turn onto Hangover Trail. This particular route only takes you out about a mile on Hangover. Many people complete a longer, 8 mile loop that includes Cow Pies trail, and more of Hangover. Not a lot of shade, but some! We did the hike mid day, which is mostly the reason for that. Oh and a great choice to combine a picnic with hiking. About 1.3 miles or so from the trailhead, there are 2 picnic tables.
