Very nice hike and perfect weather. This isn't a difficult trail and it has 360 degree views. You can see to the Black Mountains, Grandfather Mountain, and all kinds of views. The climb is a little rocky but very manageable for most people and kids.

i spent 2 month hiking spet and oct 2017 and seeing sites on and all round the skline and parkway and through 6 southern states and this little trail gives you some on the most incredible views i had seen during my trip. i know some people need to hike miles and miles to be satisfied but they won't see views like this. if you are anywhere near here (even if you have to drive a few hours) i promise you won't be sorry.

Stunning Views from the top!

Excellent summer afternoon drive when it’s too hot/humid out to get on a trail. Only issue is when you get caught up near a group of motorcyclists it makes it difficult to get into any of the scenic overlooks.

Great all year...there is always something to see and in the winter you don't have to go far from the road to see frozen water falls. Great day trip with the little ones!

Craggy Pinnacle offers some wonderful 360 degree views from atop the lookout. As it is a shorter hike many people from out of town like to stop in while driving along the blue ridge highway. If it is windy, or the weather isn’t looking nice, keep in mind there is little protection. I live close to Douglas Falls so I actually hike from the Barnardsville side at Douglas Falls and cut through to the pinnacle trail. If you have the time hike down to the Falls!!

Short hike with beautiful views

I have hiked this trail many times and during different seasons. It is especially beautiful when the rhododendrons are in bloom.

Short uphill hike, great for viewing sunsets.

Driven by it several times but stopped this time and definitely a great hike with some of the best views in the area. Short hike but packs plenty of punch.

Short and easy, very pretty!

By far the best place for offroading in north Carolina. Has best trails for multiple levels of difficulty. Most of the park is great for jeeps with close to stock and some knowledge of offroading and above. Even has some challenges for even the most modified rigs. I'd suggest going on a weekday or non holiday weekend since the paths are tight and has limited turn off points. This park isn't friendly for jeepers that don't want scratches

Found this trail by accident heading to Mt Mitchell. Short trail, gorgeous views. Worth the stop.

Quick and easy hike. This one is all about the view, make sure you've got clear skies for max visibility!

sunrise at the top is an unforgettable experience!

Easy first time trail with great view rewards

You feel like you're in an enchanted forest! This is a short .7 mile out and back trail, it's easy for all levels. There were a lot of bumble bees since there's lots of flowers, so if you don't like bees then this may not be for you.

the view was amazing! lots of butterflies! There were lots of bumble bees, but they mostly stayed away. And explore the other little side paths - well worth it!

Short trail, the view from the top is awesome.

Really neat area to explore just about 1/2 an hour away from DT Asheville. Take the trail up to the upper level (lower level is ok, but you'll get a better view if you go up to the highest part of this hike). The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains are absolutely breathe taking! I highly recommend taking some time to explore this beautiful area!

Easy climb to a great overlook!! Highly recommend for families.

This was a gorgeous hike with many wildflowers along the way. The rhododendrons bushes made a "tent" over the path at time which was picturesque. The view at the top is nothing short of amazing. Quick payoff for the view!

Always beautiful views and plenty of parking spaces.
