Great hike ! Beautiful waterfall! Jones Gap is as good as it gets!

The boardwalk was great. Enjoyed the walk around and it was ideal for the kids (5, 2) to walk around. Other than a few spots most of the ground was dry with minimal standing water.

Ok walking trail in the woods. No good views. Just kind of boring, but if you just need to walk amongst the trees it serves it purpose. Hopefully, one day they make it longer and maybe a loop. Bring bug spray and watch for huge spider webs and the occasional snake.

Beautiful sights. Rained the night before, so the ground was very wet. Great hike!

Great trails. Fantastic scenery!

it was a very easy walk around with a bit of flooding when we went. Plenty of fish, birds, and reptiles to see! Enjoyable with some beautiful swampland to see.

Nice walk through an impressive cypress grove. No shortage of birds and turtles. The boardwalk itself is in sorta rough shape.

Great hike nice and easy for beginners. Some nice views of the marsh and the oyster mound!!!

As of 07/22/18, it was engulfed by the surrounding swamp due to a few solid days of heavy rain. Still an interesting hike.

This was my first hike on July 10th 2018 and this was great. The trail was well maintained and the scenery was beautiful.

Love this trail for a quick walk in the wilderness. This is a must see for people visiting the area. Mosquitos were not too bad big bug spray is a must. Saw a few turtles, snakes, and deer on todays trip.

beautiful. I am glad that I came here. I would like to add that you do have to pay $20 per adult and $10 per child to enter. It is worth it. if you are looking for a peaceful way to get away from people, don't go here. It is famous and there are tourists, bridal parties, and tours here. This doesn't take away from the beauty of it though.

Nice boardwalk trail. The loop to Weston Lake was partially flooded and had some downed trees from wind damage. The old growth trees are awesome.

Enjoyed it very much. Very easy. Lots to see and historical interest (rice paddies back in the day).

I do this trail often with my dog and 3 children ages 10,6 and 4. Family favorite well shaded but I recommend bug spray!

4 or 5 visits and I still discover something new. some storm damage, trees etc.. same for side trails. ( sure feels longer than it is. )

Mostly flooded when I went. Boardwalk and camping area were clear. Beautifully maintained.

We went with an 11 and 7 year old plus a dog. A great easy hike for the whole family.

Lots of poison ivy

Nice trail.part of the loop is flooded out. Very unique scenery.

It close and good

Fantastic trail. Always take the in laws here with the kids. It’s a great loop.

Beautiful, flat trail.

My husband and I went to the walk for the first time, in hopes to find the waterfall, but not only did we not find it, no one even knew it had a waterfall! I would love it if someone who knows where it is would post! I want to come back to see if We can find it??

Nice level trail with a couple of informational stops . Brought 2 kids and they enjoyed it.

Great trails for mountain biking, maybe not so much for hiking. Tons of windy single-track makes this super fun to ride. There’s a pump track and a built up area called “the ridge” which is pretty fun. It’s mostly flat but the windy trail makes it more fun and challenging.

Hermit thrush, black & white warbler, downy woodpecker, chickadees, robins, and heard parulas ..... and gators!

Trail is very well maintained! For being right outside of Charleston, it’s perfect to get away for the day and go hiking. The trail is fairly easy to walk - some roots and soft marsh spots. Also, love that it’s dog friendly!! We took our two dogs and had a blast. There were quite a bit of people out walking with their dogs and riding bikes, so it gets some traffic on the weekends. Definitely a hidden gem!

Tucked deep in the Francis Marion National Forest, this primitive trail provides a temporary escape from civilized life. If you're looking for a way to hit the "reset button" this is your trail!

If your just looking for some exercise, it’s not bad.
