Trail for the most part was great. Gets harder to follow once you get to the false summit. I was also contending with some light snow/heavy wind making the end extra exciting. Took me about 4 hours and 15 minutes round trip. No idea if that's a good time, but I had to dial up the commitment to 11 with the wind chill and snow moving in at the top. I plan to come back in the summer. Worthy summit to finish out the season on though!

No ice or snow on trail worth mentioning (some little patches still holding on); ice on road close to turn off though.

I did this hike a couple months ago and it was a good hike. The scramble at the top is pretty scary. I almost slipped and fell a couple times. Just take the last summit push slow and you should be fine.

Such a gorgeous hike. Difficulty would be above an Olympus or Pfiefferhorn and below Lone Peak, but extremely difficult! Not for the faint of heart and the final uphill is pretty gnarly. More elevation gain than AllTrails would lead you to believe due to so much downhill along the way. Take the final stretch slow if you’re not used to high elevations. A little snowy, but very doable and SO WORTH IT. Bag the tallest peak in the wasatch while you still can this year! ICY ROAD, DRIVE CAREFULLY!!

This is a gem. The trail is very clean and undulates for the first couple of miles. Then as you transition to the ridge it becomes steeper and rocky but not too bad. As you arrive at the saddle the trail levels out again and undulates again until you reach the second to last switch back. The last stretch is a bit of scree as you come to the final saddle and then the top. I saw a heard of about 20 mountain goats within 30 yards of the top.

Great terrain, clear trail, and beautiful views even though fall is almost over.

As someone who is slightly petrified by heights, this one was a very hard one for me! It took us 9 hours round trip; we went at a slowish pace to start and then snail pace for the two climbs. The first climb was tough, but my fears weren't triggered until the start of the second climb. The wind was almost constant and it was very cold. Besides the wind, the hardest part of the second climb is that it seemed like there was no one way to get up there. There were several different paths and if you took the "wrong" one, you kind of had to scale back up the mountain... I suppose you also had to do that even if you took the "right" one haha. I liked climbing up rocks, but at the same time it was absolutely terrifying, especially when I accidentally looked down and saw how far up I was. The view is worth it! I'm not planning on doing this hike again, but I am so glad I did it! It was gorgeous!

This hike was tough! The beginning was beautiful as it weaves through the forest but once you hit that first big incline you’ll start to feel the burn. The view right before the false peak could be reason enough to do the hike! But continuing up you can expect a steep climb over loose rock. The scramble to the final peak was, at times, pretty frightening as the trails were hard to follow and the loose rock could cause a slip down the either side of the mountain. I would recommend staying on top of the ridge as much as possible as the little trails can be misleading and put you in tricky situations. As for the weather, it was AMAZING. Before the false peak we were in tank tops and leggings and felt great. Once we started that final climb we added a jacket, gloves, and a beanie and it was perfect. We enjoyed lunch at the summit and only saw 7 other hikers the whole 7 hours we were on the mountain. We also saw some mountain goats which was such a treat! We sat for about 10 minutes and just watched them scale the side of the mountains with ease.

You can start out running this trail, not quickly as it still inclines pretty heavy, by the time you make it around the north peak of nebo and drop towards your final ascent it's a power hike. No switchbacks here, you take the trail straight up to the first false peak. Nebo itself is very picturesque, with the standard peak you drew as a kid, a giant spire that shoots into the air. It's also a skirmish, and classified as a level 3 mountain peak scramble, and you will scramble. The peak is gorgeous and the views to the west are so good.

Great hike. A little busy but still saw few mountain goats and a herd of deer.

Loved this hike. A couple steep stretches, more so the second one, that’ll work the body hard. Beautiful views, and a stretch at the end that could mess with your mind a bit if you’re nervous about heights. Just follow the spine at the end and not some of the off-shoots to the left and right and you’ll be fine. One foot in front of the other. Trust the trail right in front of you. You’ll go over three peaks with Nebo last. It’s higher than the summit you see beyond it, though that one will tempt you with the way it suggests it’s higher. If you have knee issues, bring poles. Also dress in layers and with a jacket, gloves and possibly a face mask for parts. The wind is unforgiving and bites. So glad I pushed myself and did this one.

Beautiful hike. I would rate the first 3 miles as moderate and it gets very steep for the last two peaks. We were the only ones at the summit today! Only saw another hiker with her two dogs but she didn’t go all the way to the summit. Some scrambling and loose rocks but not technical. Also some snow and wind but was not too bad. Clear blue skies and the drive up there was so beautiful with all the autumn leaves.
