Hiking

4/18-trail was fairly dry for most of the hike, with a some patches of mud. The last 1/2 mile or so saw more mud and the last 1/4 mile was snowy/icy and pretty slippery. I used spikes for that bit and was glad I had them. I did see people doing it without, but it seemed to be taking them longer as they had to be more careful of footing.

It’s quite muddy especially at the meadow. Lots of snow past the bridge, I wore spikes from here on and was stoked to have them. Most people I passed were slipping and/or falling in both directions.

The trail was a beautiful site. Stick to the map, and you'll make it to the falls. It was very wet getting into the forest after the lake. Muddy and snowy, walk carefully.

HikingMuddy

The trail was moderately difficult with regard to incline grade and the view was fantastic. However, the mud- oh my God-the mud. Pro-tip....do NOT go after a rain (same day or next day). it was a nightmare. Multiple people on the trail slipped and fell even in legit hiking boots. We managed to not fall, but it took us twice as long to get down as it did to get up and getting up took way longer than it should have. Probably a fantastic hike when dry.

WalkingGreat!

Very easy trail that's perfect for trail running. This hike also offers an easy hiking option that still results in beautiful views of the valley. I highly recommend it for trail runners, beginner hikers, and kids!

Okay this is like the middle of easy and medium. It is gorgeous but make sure to wear good shoes as the incline is steep and the trail is full of dips and holes.

Super busy trail, until you branch off to Beacon Tower. Trail was in great condition. Not much furniture in the Living Room.

HikingGreat!No shade

This hike is quite steep and doesn't really let up until the top. However, the ascent doesn't take too long, and it's all worth it for the absolutely stunning view of the Salt Lake Valley. I can see why the pioneers came up here to check things out. There was no mud today; the entire trail was dry.

Super tough trail! Steep incline and pretty icy/slushy towards the latter half. Had spikes though and was fine. Saw some people sliding and falling. Be careful! And don’t miss the trail to the falls. There’s just a cedar post where you turn left after going up a steep part covered with ice. Sign must’ve been ripped off or something. Enjoy!
