I would just turn around after going through little wild horse canyon. The rest of the hike was still pretty but not as good and would have rather seen little horse canyon again. There was no water.

Ended up wandering in the hoodoos more than following a trial, but it’s was nice and quiet on a chilly morning.

Did this after Navajo Knobs so it was a bit busy in the afternoon hours even in early March. The trail itself isn't as scenic as many others in the park that go either through deep canyons or along tall rims. The natural bridge is nice but not as spectacular as others I've seen. Still a nice trail overall, a couple smaller arches along the trail. I suggest you go early to beat the heat and the crowds especially if you're going in the busier seasons.

HikingGreat!

Hickman Bridge Trail is a great family hike. Children can easily handle the elevation gain and love playing on, in, and around the various rock formations. My youngest is 10, but we passed several families with 3-4 year olds.

Loved it. Scary dropping down into Goblins lair. Loved walking around the goblins.

The trail to the lair is pretty easy and the view is great! Definitely worth the trip. The rock scramble in and out of the lair is not what i'd call easy, but also not hard to where you need rock climbing gear. I did not go all the way in, though, as I have a fear of heights. It is doable, though.

Fun trail! Short and sweet but still had some elevation to it. The bridge was cool to check out

great trail! hickman bridge is the symbol of the capitol reef NP. the near-entrance part has good view of the highway meandering the red rocks (similar feeling of that part of angels landing). the middle part has much sands in shoes, but is peaceful. the last part around the hickman bridge is the best and makes the hiking totally worth it - we got fun climbing and great photos, and we sat under the bridge for long time to enjoy it.

Excellent trail with beautiful and different views at every turn. A few boulders to go up or down, but nothing too difficult for an average hiker - saw people and children of various ages do just fine. The far end of the loop when you get out of little wild horse canyon is quite sunny and it’s on a dirt road to then enter bells canyon - recommend sunscreen and plenty of water. We did the loop counter clockwise starting in little wild horse and ending by coming out of bells canyon, and enjoyed doing it this way since less traffic going in the counter clockwise direction. Highly recommend this beautiful and easy hike!

HikingGreat!

This is a gorgeous hike with a lot of variation in scenery if you do the entire loop. We did it in 3 1/2 hours. Through the slot canyons it was very busy and at one point there was even a traffic jam and we had to go back to allow a group through. A lot of people just go up through the slot canyons and then come back down. That is the problem and why you can have a hard time if it is busy. I definitely recommend going counter clockwise and do the entire loop if possible. We went at mid day in spring and the weather was perfect. Plenty of shade except on the backside it is more exposed.
