Great trails for hiking or more advanced trail running. Beautiful scenic views of the bay and lots of elevation change to keep it interesting. The white and green trails are Best marked and easiest to follow. White trail out and back hitting the green loop both directions is about 5k.

Trails are in good shape. Certainly easy to find routes off and back to the main trail. Good rugged exploring.

Come here often throughout the year. Always a nice quick peaceful hike with great views.

Nice park with a variety of hilly areas. I thought the trails were clearly marked but I also referred back to the trail map on my phone. I liked the blue trail. I don’t think i’d take small children on the white part of the trial near the bay, as the one side of the trail drops off into the the bay. The only bummer was that there were some heavy industrial machines grinding trees on the other side of the bay and it’s was pretty loud (see photo). I think it was just bad luck that i went on a day where they were working.

Couldn’t be happier. Ends right on the water—bring your camp coffee setup for at A+ coffee outside.

Nice, easy walk with some nice water spots.

Decent trail. some of the bridges could use some attention. It was muddy the day I visited but it was still a pleasant walk. I would visit again.

Great trail! Some nice hills, very pretty. Took under 2 hours to do the 5 miles. I went when there was some snow on the ground, which was very icy underneath on most of the trail, maybe from the xc skis? So just be careful or bring your microspikes!

I started in the parking lot behind Panorama Plaza and the trail is not that pretty (behind businesses and an apartment complex) until after the 441 bridge, which is where Linear Park/Channing Philbrick Park is. The trail is well marked and has red blazes while inside the park. This trail is busy! It was very cold and drizzling and I saw at least 10 people. This would be good stroll with kids but I prefer less foot traffic. The trail just ends randomly (see picture). I would recommend starting at the park, not at the plaza like I did.

Great hike on well marked trail (green markers). Weather was cold but sunny.

It was a relatively flat walk. First part was across a long bridge then into the woods on wood chip covered trails. Nice walk out and back.

Awesome, historical space. Great elevation making this a tougher run or walk. Everything is paved road.

Great, easy loop. Very well maintained for walking, running, or snowshoeing. Worth checking out the small falls!

Nice fall colors. Waterfall and the creek are a nice spot to take a break. Some road noise from Rt 490 cuts into the solitude. Wide Trail that is well maintained

You get a glimpse into the better days of Rochester, back when when the city was prospering. Would definitely recommend.

Nice moderate trail, decent scenery, but it would be nice if people carried out their waste and trash.

Loved our walk in the park.Enough of a challenge with the hills and uneven ground.
Lost track of how to exit but there were enough people around to ask.Would like to visit again.

One of my favorite places to hike locally - that and Abe Lincoln right around the corner. Great little bit of trail system going down to the wet area with some neat streams (people kayak through). A little hilly but that adds to the fun. I recommend this to anyone as there are ways to make it easier or shorter if needed, or enough places to explore around for a few hours.

Great hike with the pup! Just make sure you follow the green markings if you want to stay on East Esker Trail. Lots of chipmunks and saw three whitetails!

Moderately strenuous. Hiking boots is a must as it was muddy in some areas.

The hike is actually closer to 5 miles if you follow the green markers but it was a GREAT hike! My 4 and 7 year olds came along and did amazing! So proud! Will do this one again for sure!

Love this hike! The trails are a little confusing at first, but there is always great wildlife encounter. The park is full of deer, chipmunk, squirrels, plenty of birds, and at the creek I always see turtles and frogs. This is a great hike during the winter too. You can really see the old rifle range with all the leaves gone. Typically, there is very little traffic, which could also be why I like this park so much.

Good shade, not too tough. Bring a fishing pole!

Great trail took my 5, 7 and 13 year old kids. They did it easy.

Definitely a challenging hike, but totally worth it to see the bay at the end. Tried this trail in Sept and the bugs were slightly annoying, so make sure you bring bug spray. Brought my dog and he really enjoyed it. Will do it again!
