Snow/ice today and awesome looking.

I did this short hike in the snow on 11/4/18. It was pretty and peaceful - a perfect winter hike. We decided to go further, maybe another mile and a half. The hike kept getting prettier. I wouldn’t do this hike in the summer as it probably gets too crowded, but I am looking forward to hiking to Spirit Lake on this trail in spring or early fall.

My four year old loved the easy bouldering, but my wife didn’t love the spots we ended up in with our two year old due to lack of a real trail. Nothing dangerous but not quite what we expected. Would have been a blast without the baby and overall we still had fun. We will be back in a couple of years when both kids can enjoy all the way to the top.

Simple hike but absolutely gorgeous views of the Rockies and a nice stream/waterfall. Trail is well kept and would totally do this again given the opportunity.

Beautiful view at 12000ft. Worth the short but out of breath stairs

This trail and the ute trail are probably my two favorite trails ever. this trail is actually called the tundra communities trail. it has some beautiful rock/quartz formations but the best thing about it is being level with the clouds and watch the clouds roll over the weird landscape. its super eerie and beautiful. the moss and tundra plant beds are also beautiful and unique. its so colorful up close. its not a difficult trail but be prepared for the high altitude air if you arent used to it go slow stop and look around and enjoy the surroundings.

Very short hike. The falls are beautiful. There were a handful of people walking and climbing all over the rocks. Definitely worth the hike.

Awesome views. Worth the 224 steps but old people were struggling. Takes you to 12,005 ft. Right next to Mt Chapin and Old Falls River Rd. See Colorado River headwaters. Fun place. Please stay on the trail. Saw a girl posing for pics in a Keep Off area. Encourage respect and rules.

A fun hike that is worth the time. Dress warm with the wind. Educational signs. Some fun rocks to climb at the end (optional). Great view of Mt Chapin and some of the Alpine lakes. Can see Longs Peak and Alpine Visitors Center. Please stay on the trail. I asked some visitors from China to please respect the signs for Keep Off areas. Let’s all help each other keep it nice for the future.

There are parking lots on both sides of the Falls area. This is not really a hike but more fun scrambling and bouldering expedition. We did manage to hike about a mile back into the canyon but beware of falling rock. It looked very dangerous. Lots of fun for kids 8+ years old as far as climbing.

Great view

Walked this on 9/20. We hadn’t researched it so we didn’t know what to expect, but it was probably the highlight of our day on the Trail Ridge. It was incredibly windy and cold. We got to the top and enjoyed climbing over the rocks up to the Memorial index. On the way down we saw a snow storm roll in. I thought it was rain coming towards us but it was snow pellets. Near white out conditions for about 15 mins. On our way back down a coyote crossed the path in front us, which was a surprise. We waited out the snow storm in the car. Really recommend, but prepare for the wind!!

The actual hiking trail is short but spending a few hours at the Alluvial fan is worth it!

This is a great place to scramble around rocks all afternoon! Kids and teens will love this too. In early Summer the river will be roaring making it tough to cross to the other side without walking to the road. In the fall the water is generally low which allows you to hike wayyy far up the canyon.

I recommend wearing sturdy shoes for walking along the rocks but it is nice to bring water shoes if you plan on wading in the river. We always climb up on top of the huge boulders on the left side of the river and have lunch overlooking the valley. Beautiful views and a fun afternoon.

Short, great views of the falls.

Great trail. Easy to get to (even with detour) and we hiked to top of the falls and saw another hiker swim in the river!

High mountain lake, nice easy trail.

This was great with kids. They really enjoyed climbing on the rocks. Beautiful with great views.

Nice, fast hike.

it was cold and windy but worth it! I would rate it as a moderate. I am a lettercarrier and walk everyday. With the altitude I need to rest often. Coming down piece of cake.

Beautiful falls. Flowing pretty decent when we were there in May. Climbed all the way to the top with the kids. Kid loved wading in the water as well. Great place to hang and enjoy the scenery.

Cute short easy trail with a little waterfall at the end. Great for families!

Great views but should not be marked as "Easy". Most of this trail is uphill, some parts smooth, some rocky and some stairs so the elderly or folks with disabilities are likely to struggle on this.

Spectacular tundra views for such a short, easy hike! A favorite location to bring our family & friends when visiting.

Very short hike but nice. Went with my 2 boys on a Thursday late afternoon and we had the Falls all to our selves for over an hour. We climbed to the top and had a nice view. The hike was easy and the climb was moderate. Nice spot for pictures and we saw several large bucks in the area grazing.

Huffers Hill

If you're willing to climb up some rocks along the waterfall, you'll be rewarded with a great view. The trail itself is very short, but it would be challenging for anyone who was not very sure-footed.
