Rocky Mountain National Park

Fun hike great falls at the end

This trail is awesome because it gives people who can't hike to some of the other mountain lakes a chance to see one almost just as good. This trail is wheelchair accessible. The lake is beautiful and it is a great place to hike. The trail also connects to a large loop that connects several mountain lakes. You don't want to miss this one.

Beautiful scenery! This water fall is amazing. The trail is also very well kept up.

Gorgeous views. Easy half mile hike. Perfect for kids.

Had a great hike with lots of Moose. Easy out and back with nice waterfall to compliment all the wildlife. Highly recommend.

Crowded but so beautiful. Not much of a hike at all.

Beautiful hike! Pretty easy.

Easy hike to see a great waterfall.

Easy to moderate, gets your muscles working but nothing too strenuous. Maybe not the best for young children in some parts for inexperienced/non-local people like myself but still doable!

A quick and easy walk. I’d recommend doing this as a cool down from the Emerald Lake Trail.

Considering no one seems to go here or even know about it, it is worth the 2 minutes off the main road and 3 min walk. Impressive story. Bring swim trucks and shoes and get in or hike to the top and get a cool view

Beautiful easy hike. Saw so many moose! Most exciting day!!

Started our trek at Bear Lake trailhead, per the advice of a person on the shuttle. Good decision! Hiked mostly downhill to Bierstadt and then enjoyed the loop around the lake. Thanks to another tip from a fellow hiker, we found a nice spot off the loop to view the lake (it is surrounded by trees). Next, we hiked to the Bierstadt trailhead which involves scenic views going DOWN the switchbacks. (Note: If we had started the hike from Bierstadt trailhead and ended at Bear Lake, this would have been a much more strenuous journey!) It took my family (12 month old on my back + two 6 year olds) about three hours total.

Advice for families: Start at Bear Lake trailhead, end at Bierstadt trailhead, use shuttle back to Bear Lake or to Park & Ride.

gorgeous trail! Loved it! The cascades are beautiful!

Fun trail - serves as a good warm-up hike. A moose came from the marshy area south of the lake and proceeded to go in the lake to eat on 7/11/18.

Easy, well manicured trail to gorgeous falls. Loved it.

Loved this and went a bit farther to get 3-4 miles. Definitely one of the best in the area!

This was so fun, and I loved the length of 7 miles! Nice to see deer along the way.

Highly trafficked but the waterfall is awesome. We hiked to Emerald lake first. Since the trailheads are basically the same, we kept going to see the waterfall. You can pick a nice rock for a nap once you get there. Great scenery, but if I came back to this park I’d pick a less trafficked trail. It was suitable for my brother, who was dying because he never hikes.

My Husband & I hiked Alberta Falls on 4th of July & it was Beautiful! Sat on a rock & dipped my feet into the cold water stream... Over all it was a pretty easy hike. Worth it! Kid friendly. Parking lots get filled quickly & you have to use the park and ride after 7:30ish. So my advise is to go as early as you can. $25 fee for the national park also.

easy hike to do as soon as you get there, takes like five minutes and extremely worth it

Great hike! The hike was not too long but a nice couple of hours. I would rate it as moderate, but it would probably be easy for locals accustomed to the altitude. We saw several deer as well as a moose and her calf!

Great trail for all the family.

Great trail. Great views. Very crowded.

Great trail around a beautiful lake!! We saw moose, fish, small rodents and all sorts of cute ducks. It’s a quick and relaxing trail that allows you to take some beautiful mountain photos. I highly recommend to pop in for the .6 quick walk. There are also numerous tables to enjoy a nice snack or lunch.

A bit crowded when we were there on a Saturday but a great hike for kids or older folks. We passed these falls on the trail to Loch Lake.

easy hike and nice and simple

Great hike, especially for beginners. The falls are also very beautiful.

This trail is easy and is in the thick of the forest so the scenery is wonderful. We came from alluvial fan so this waterfall was not as exciting but still awesome! Great quick hike for families: there are portions that are uphill and downhill so it evens out.

It is a very small lake but a great spot to eat and go to the bathroom. The lake is beautiful with the mountains in the background. It is extremely flat so it would be very doable for all ages. I don’t know if it is worth venturing out to but it is on your way to a lot of other hikes so it is nice to stop there and look around.
