This trail is 3 stars as is, but with better maintenance this trail has potential to be a really nice trail.

This should be a must for all Americans.
A walk through history surrounded by the beauty of nature in lovely Concord.

A wonderful history lesson surrounded by the beauty of Concord. Where it all began. Very sentimental. It was an honor to walk in the steps of the minute men and I enjoyed all of the detailed signs pointing out everything. Lovely bridge with birds landing and making for a great picture by the lake. Enjoyable! Not difficult at all. Nice flat surfaces mostly.

My boys and I checked this place out today. It’s right on the water, has lots of cool rocks to climb, and some interesting relics from when it was an amusement park-neat history! It’s not huge, but was fun to spend a couple of hours in watching the water and climbing rocks. There’s a paved trail that is relatively short, so it’s good for a quick, easy walk, with beautiful views. Pleasantly surprised!

This is Audubon preservation land and a beautiful area to experience in most temperatures. I have hiked all of the trails in the small system there and this particular one was a good one for takin mom at her skill level while offering lots of beauty for mine. All of the routes are fun so make the day your own. Tide levels will change the scenery and the paths feature forest and marshland views that are just amazing. The visitor center has really been putting in some great updates too with turtles and fish and the turkey and wild bird feeders can be enjoyed through big windows. You're likely to meet all of those same birds on trail too. Trails are a good width and might be wheelchair accessible though you can call to verify. A small fee for area use helps maintain this fantastic wildland preserve and there are great bathrooms and a gift shop in visitor center too.

Easy loop with benches and pretty views. Makes for a nice constitutional when in town. Lots of dog walkers, joggers somewhat distracting - but hey, it's in a city.

Very nice stroll with benches along the walkway. Dogs seemed to be allowed off leash

I enjoyed the walk and the landscape was pretty on a fall day. The main paths are paved and there are a few smaller trails throughout the route that are unpaved but cleared. I had not walked there before and it was worth the trip.

very clean place to walk, very easy

very nice for family walking, biking, etc.

Definitely not for a beginner. Beautiful views but some short steep hills. Watch for sand and leaves on the paved path. A bit like a rollercoaster ride for a bike!

Beautiful trail. It was moderately busy but it is to be expected at the start of a holiday weekend. Loved being surrounded by all the history.

Decent rail trail. A bit short for biking. Better suited for walking/running. No bathrooms at either trail head. There is a johnny on the spot in a parking lot in downtown Hudson. Otherwise you need to invade one of the businesses along the trail.

Multiple street crossings. But they all have pedestrian activated lights and drivers are respectful and stop.

parking is a pain, the pond is chained off and the area around it is not the nicest. would only go here if I lived within a few blocks.

Great easy walking trails with views of Narragansett Bay.

Lots of fun to run along the bay, and do loops on the paved path. Also some decent trails to play on as well.

Excellent walk but can be crowded. Watch out for bikes. Some think they are road racers. Water views, marshes and birds, including ospreys, make it all worthwhile.

Perfect jogging route if you prefer a paved path. Very gentle inclines. Very well maintained. Not at all crowded on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. There are benches and fences at intervals that are handy for stretching. Road crossings have signals that give crossers the right of way. I parked in the municipal lot on Jefferson St. behind Kelleher Field.

Wish it was longer.

Much better as a biking or jogging path than hiking. Flat packed dirt. Busy during peak fitness times. Good option for runners who want a long flat route with minimal road crossings.

The trail itself is nice, though the last portion cuts through neighborhoods, which is weird.

The best parts are the side trails through the woods and a swamp walk.

I am at the race point beach early and decided to do a moderate hike. The officer at toll gate suggested me to take this trail. Although it's a bike trail, there was plenty of space to walk. I took detours to cape cod seashore visitor center and beech trail. The beech trail is a must go. I have never touched a lotus flower before. There were literally thousands of them on the trail. Simply beautiful and would definitely do it again.

I’m on this trail everyday on weekdays. It’s a beautiful loop that’s fairly easy. Parking inside can be a pain if you aren’t a Cambridge resident. But there’s plenty of street parking if you come from Concord ave. It isn’t a moderate trail; it’s definitely an easy one.

Does anyone know how it is now with the new part? Thanks

Beautiful ride under trees and along the river. The day I rode my bicycle weather was perfect.

Really buggy at the very beginning near the pond, but once you get further along on the trail bugs disappeared. Trail was easy to follow and there were very few roots, but it did get tight in the middle and could use having some of the brush trimmed back.

Nice, easy trail for biking. Mostly flat and all paved. Starts out at Cross Point towers in lowell provides a pleasant, mostly shaded ride with a lake/beach along the way. Bring a lunch and relax at the picnic tables, or grab a slice of pizza at Zesty’s along the way in Chelmsford.

Walk on this everyday...love it!
