the pic seems to be of the kayak route but ignore that. the sandy neck hike is magnificent. time it for low tide if you can . Can be impassable at extreme high tide . I like to do out and back on marsh side . as others have said, beach is boring.

This isn’t actually a path to walk on it’s just for kayaking...

It was a great walk though not marked at all. I walked about 5 miles

Great spot for an easy and quiet paddle. There are large areas of lily pads but otherwise a nice ride.

Did the Marsh Trail starting from the Sandy Neck Beach Gate House. Total of 6.6 miles, we only did 2. In high tide/after rain, trail is covered in water and is very muddy. Had to go off the trail to traverse. Marsh views are wonderful, spotted a turtle! My 55 year old mothet had trouble crossing the sand dunes in the sun, that was a lot. Return walk is straight along the beach, scenic, but a straight shot, kind of boring.

Great for kayaking

liked this easy but very beautiful walk. Horse owners should really clean up the massive mounds of feces

Beautiful walk with the kids. They loved looking over the bridge at the fish.

A fantastic place to Kayak. If you own your own kayaks, there is a boat ramp on Lowell Road, just a half mile north-west of Concord center. There are also places that will rent kayaks to you and they will, of course, get you in the water as well.

If you've never kayaked before, try one of the rental places. If you enjoy it, and there's a good chance that you will, and think you might want to Kayak regularly, it might be worth investing in kayaks of your own if you have the means (can afford kayaks and roof racks, and can put kayaks on car or SUV and take them off as needed).

Nice! People need to curb their dogs. Nice pond view

Good dog walk around the pond. Some loose dogs on the trail so probably not good for dog reactive pups.

The trail is an up and back with a loop halfway. The first 1/3rd is a narrow heavily rooted path. The foliage is so thick you can't see very far which is fine because you'll need to concentrate on the footing. Then you come upon a beautiful bridge that offers great views of the pond on both sides. The trail opens up here with a well traveled main trail and several less used ones.Along the way we encountered some dog walkers and one person biking.

Easy nice walk. Trail loop can be missed if not paying attention! 35 mins to do the main loop at an easy pace. Cool bridge overlooking the pond...will be fantastic in the fall.

Great trail to walk at any age, takes about 1 hour to walk, run or walk your dog around the pond as i do.
The trail follows around the pond, starting from the parking lot that crosses over a small bridge and takes you through the bird filled woods.Half way around you come up to a bridge the gives you a wonderful view of both sides of pond and dont forget to take your camera or phone..The second half you just need to watch your step as the tree roots can be a challenge or trip if not looking down...

Took kayaks out on the river last Sunday. Used the Carlisle ramp. Really easy to get to, plenty of parking....wasn't too busy. Pushed the kayaks in and went downstream (though there is barely a noticeable current). Went about four miles and almost made it to the historical North Bridge, but had to turn back because of mean thunderclouds we saw heading our way. Water temp was awesome! Slightly cooler than bath water temp. Saw geese, cranes, lots of dragonflies, and them furry swimming beavers (not sure if they are true beavers, but that's what I call them. Lol). Did not come across any "beach" for swimming. Close to the shores of course it was very muddy, and lots of Mosquitos. River is wide, so no need to get near them. On the water we also saw other boats, powered and unpowered, and a jet ski. Max speed posted was 10mph. Everyone was courteous and slowed their powered boats to a crawl when around kayaks.

Love kayaking here. Been here many times, at frist reanting the equipment, lately with my own equipment. Learn about current times can help specially if you coming with beginners. Nice work out while enjoying gorgeous scenery. If you don't have your own equipment Osprey kayak is right there to rent all you need to enjoy a wonderful time.

Be aware of weather wind and currents can be a little much, staying close to the coast in the morning can help to avoid the wind.

This is a very nice route for coastal kayaking.. I have traveled only a few miles of it's entire length. The conditions on the river can vary greatly and I suggest mornings that are not windy. It is good to be aware of the tides and currents as well. This can be a great trip even taken in small doses.
