Amazing trail! Leads you to two other trails. There were some rocks and roots probably not suitable for those differently-abled. But you can get the same beautiful views if you drive around and park at the official Jedediah Smith Trailhead which is great for everyone!

HikingGreat!

Actually only about 5.6 miles according to the signage! Just hiked late feb 2021. Drive up to the trailhead was very well maintained. We took a big camper van up there just fine! Not busy at all on our walk! Bathrooms at trailhead. Hike is gorgeous and full of large redwoods. Never seen anything like it! There is one large “boy scout tree” about 9/10 of the way to the waterfall. You’ll see a little sign on the left of the trail telling you to turn right for it. It’s a short climb up and easy to miss so keep an eye out! Worth it - so so cool. The hike is very doable / I would consider it ‘easy’ difficulty but it’s probably ranked ‘moderate’ because of the length. Definitely would recommend this hike to anyone!

HikingGreat!

Great short redwood hike! The main picture for this trail implies it takes you to views of the river- it does not. You will have to go off this trail to another trail so take a look at the map to see. It’s not far at all and well worth stopping to see the beautiful river as well.

Do this hike for the redwoods not the falls. I mean the falls are nice but they are not as spectacular as the redwoods are in this hike.

RunningGreat!

The trees here, like a lot of Redwood Trails are awe inspiring. The road to the trail is well maintained, as is the Trail itself. It was a little muddy, not bad. I was running it... so, a lot of soft spots and exposed roots. Be mindful if running. Also stop and look around, explore, lots to see. Like the reviews before mine- If you stop for a minute, there was no noise. Not even birds. Awesome! I recommend going early morning. Less people. By 10:00am (ish) the parking area was filling up. * No parking fee. * GPS works great! * Vault toilets @ TH. (very clean)

One of the best. The road from Crescent City is OPEN again. They removed the tree that was in the way

Absolutely loved this hike! Hiked 9 other trails in this area and this was hands down my fave. Not just because I was on the look out for Ewoks but the add a bit of the river trail and it’s... stunning.

WalkingGreat!

Absolutely beautiful trail. You will not regret this one! Not hard, but the roots can get a little slippery! If you're looking to disconnect, this is the place. Silence, not even birds chirping.. Total silence. One of my favorite trails to date - it's like you're in a different world! Highly recommend.. The full trail doesn't feel as long as it is, but definitely want to take water and a snack for this one!

Amazing Trail! Make sure not to use all trails for navigation. You will have to hike an additional 1.8 miles to the trailhead! A beautiful walk, but if your strapped for time enter from the other side of the park . Have Fun!
