Easy, but beautiful!

Good to walk :)

trail was fine. lots of traffic and the parking lot was atrocious. once you got on the trail it was fine though. self guided tour was pretty cool also. this is a super easy introductory hike. take your friends who don't hike kind of hike.

absolutely amazing trail. went in August and the water was still flowing. the hike was beautiful. didn't see a soul the whole hike. huge recommendation from me for a short hike.

An absolute slice of Heaven. Yes you must use hiking poles. Yes you must stop every so often and look up. Even the dirt road driving to the trailhead weaves in and out of all the massive-sized trees. HOWEVER, there were wads of used TOILET PAPER everywhere along the trail!!!! Come on people, if you take it in, PACK IT OUT!!!!!! As I said, this is an absolute slice of Heaven; let's keep it that way.

This hike is beautiful!! Highly recommended checking it out(:

Easy easy easy...decent redwood action, weak waterfall

A beautiful hike! My wife and I carried our lunch in our packs, and ate just after we got to the falls; an easy hike at that point. We decided to finish the entire 2.5 mile loop. Be warned! The last 2/3 of the hike is much more difficult, and--VERY important-- there is NO cell phone coverage in the area. I would upgrade this hike to above moderate for the entire loop; fairly easy for the hike to the falls. The Redwoods are spectacular, (better than LBJ Grove)! Oh yeah, I did not see even one Trillium; they must bloom at a different time of the year.

Short and to the point, this trail was an easy one and if you take the effort to drive up to the grove, you may as well walk the whole loop. Tons of beautiful trees and not a lot of people, as we went later in the afternoon when visitors were few and the light was perfect. Would highly recommend it if you’re in the area.

Absolutely amazing part of the Jed Smith Redwoods. This is by no means a strenuous “hike”. It is a majestic 5 mile walk among some of the largest trees in the world. I highly recommend to ignore the clock and gps (neither of which you need in the first place) and fully experience this sacred trail for what it is. Take your time and go early.

2hr 45mins with 11 and 15 yr old. Measured 6.2 miles incl the falls. Great hike, great redwoods. Roots slow you down a bit but good payoffs at the end of the out and back at boy scout tree and waterfall. Cruddy gravel road to get there. Supposedly the most popular trail in Jedediah but we got there at 2pm on a Wednesday (Aug 1) and parked right at the trail head.

Epic trail

Nice trail. Went around 6pm. Was greeted in the end by a little brown bear. Really scary when hiking alone. But I calmly walked by and it didn’t come towards me. I was by bridge view the elk.

Beautiful hike! The waterfall is very small but there are endless blackberries!

Easy hiking and connects with other trails in the area.

Trail was pretty dry this time of year, no mud. There is a small sign for the Boy Scout tree that veers off the trail to the right and up a ways. We missed it on the way to the little falls, but caught it on the way back. Nice trail. I’m willing to bet it’s not nearly as crowded as in the Redwoods National Park, and probably just about as good. Keep an eye on the trail, the roots can really trip you up. This took me and my sister about 2 hours total walking about 3-4 mph.

Absolutely incredible Redwoods & forest. Like hiking through the primordial period.

Quick and easy, but good way to get a look at a bunch of redwoods. Weather was pleasant, trail was shady. Parking wasn’t ideal, lot was pretty consistently full but we just created our own spot.

Beautiful redwoods and fern canyon is beyond beautiful! Walk on the beach to connect fern canyon to miners ridge!

wonderful hike in the redwoods! We started about 8am, had the trail & waterfalls to ourselves. Met lots of people going back.. go early! Poles can keep you from tripping on the roots!

Stunning walk with the Redwoods!

Awe-inspiring hike. Walking among these giants is so incredible. Once you get to the Boy Scout tree, you could easily turn around and have seen all the best stuff. The tiny waterfall at the end isn’t much to see. But the trees on the way are amazing. Hardest part is trying not to trip as you look up!

Hiked in the late afternoon. Lighting amongst the towering redwoods was spectacular. Very few people there at that time.

Nice easy walk with big trees.

Good loop trail with great trees. Needs the road in upgraded. Worth the time

Beautiful hike , pretty easy but worth the drive . More used trail than I thought it would be. I was not disappointed

This is why you visit the Redwoods!
A walk along the Giants.

Not meaning to give this a bad review just didn’t
Know how else to leave a message. Further down Howland Hills Road towards the trail head it says “Rough narrow winding road for 6 miles Trailers not recommended” “no turnaround” so we didn’t want to enter with our RV. Very sad to miss out on this hike.
