Lots of people. Trail not greatly marked. Doesn’t really have an “end” to the trail. Saw rock climbers which was fun. Would recommend.

Nice hike took my wife and I 1 hour to get to top. Great views of Vegas. My 50th birthday hike. Life is GREAT!

Neat trial heavily traveled. Just about right for my wife and I. My 50th birthday and made it to the top in 1 hour. Great view of Vegas!

It’s full of scrambling once you get in the canyon. Not the best for trail running but I’d do it again if I wanted that type of vibe.

Loved it. Went with an inexperienced friend and she had a blast. Great views towards the end of the trail and plenty of places to stop and grab some nice photos. There are a few places towards the end where kids or pets may have a few issues climbing some boulders but for adults it was awesome!

I love it !
It’s the best trail
Trying it again this Thursday

Beautiful Trail! First half is downhill, second half mostly up. I ended up coming back on the West Ridge Trail instead of the French trail and this worked out fine, just a bit of extra elevation. Plenty of spots to cut through back to the French section if desired. Not too many people on a weekday and nice and shaded.

This was an awesome hike I did on Saturday morning. I would highly recommend this hike if you are in great shape because it can get hot you have to carry your own water. Different places on the trail can have more or less people on it someplace is your buyer self other places it’s congested. Get there as early as you can the views are spectacular specially at the end of the trail.

Went through this trail head today at about 10 o’clock. The parking lot was already pretty crowded and there were plenty of hikers on the trail on the way up to the tanks just take your time and you’ll have an amazing view at the end. Plenty of spaces for you to sit and relax and enjoy the view before you head back. I was even able to see a tarantula crossing the path in front of me which was a bonus.

The other best hike in Red Rock! Make sure to go in March or April when the snow melts. It's not a hard trail by any means unless you want to climb up to the pool where the waterfall goes in.

Bit hard to follow once at the huge rock, but just follow the small stacked rocks, and you’ll be fine! *wear good hiking shoes/boots!!!

The best time is near sunset because there’s less traffic and it’s cooler. You get to enjoy a lot of nature sounds.

Did run into some young kids smoking pot, but got paranoid and left shortly after

Great hike and workout

Very good hike with endless possibilities to climb out of the canyon to get great views of the strip!!

When you get up to about 2.1 miles, there is a great bench-like rock along the ridge to sit and have lunch & a beer while gazing at a great view of the Strip.

Download the georeferenced map from the Red Rock website. It's REALLY helpful because it's hard to know where the trail goes. It's not marked at all once you get to the bouldering parts, so the map really helps if you aren't intuitive. I don't recommend this as a beginner's hike, as the rocks can be a bit challenging. It's very sunny, and the canyon walls block any breeze so the hike is HOT. The bouldering never gets TOO hard/dangerous - if it does, you've gone off path and missed the various stairs that make it easier.

Nice hike but we traveled this October and there was no waterfall or pond to see. The trail is poorly marked after the first mile. The area is beautiful to see!

Nice, easy hike with great views. Just enough to get the blood pumping. One of my favorite in Red Rock.

Great trail! Pretty easy, not strenuous at all but does have some bouldering and scrambling towards the back of the gorge. Overall, the views were incredible. We were disappointed to not see much water, but it is technically still summer so that was expected. We definitely started early, on the trail by 7am to avoid the afternoon heat but on our way back there were tons of people just starting out. Lots of rock climbers seem to come through this trail, we were half tempted to start following them just to see where they were going but decided otherwise.

Starts off easy enough but gets challenging on the bottom half. Especially the French trail section.

First hike in the Mojave Desert. The rock formations and views were beautiful. Don’t stop at the “tank”..... if you’re up for a short steep climb, you’ll soon find yourself on a summit overlooking Las Vegas. The trail had a bit more rock climbing and scrambling than expected for a moderate hike, although we were up for the challenge. Once you get to the rocks, markers are nonexistent and its not uncommon to be looking for the right “path” on the way out. Highly recommend!!

Loved this trail! Enjoyed sitting by the beautiful creek, walking trough the meadow, expansive views of red rocks and climbing through the boulders. I went past the main trail and it was well with the adventure and climbing through the rocks to get to the upper creek. Cairns guided me and I left a few of my own to point the way for others enjoying this trail!

Great trail! Im a local and have done tons of hikes around Vegas and this is my favorite one outside of Red Rock. I followed Tori's comments and went on to find this little arch. You need to go past the given end of the trail if you come out here! As stated, once you find the geographic markers just keep going straight, descending and ascending a little and descending again until you get to the grey sleet rocks- there are some cool rock formations and over the edge of the one that looks most like a cliff you will find this arch. we were practically aitting on it before we realized it was right there. the beginning of the trail forks a few times so it was helpful to keep this app up, i had service for the first mile or so and was able to get on the right track. it ended up being a bit over 6 miles and it is a good workout with great reward! def recommend it!

A nice place but ALOT OF PEOPLE. Stream trail is basically a paved walkway. A lot of big groups. We did have a nice picnic

Excellent trail with lots of scrambles over beautiful sandstone rock faces. Don’t be fooled by the park description. This trail requires a good deal of climbing along rock faces and through gaps. It is also very easy to loose the trail so pay attention to where you are going and where you have been. Markers are few and far between once you start scrambling.

Great hike with a bit of bouldering and rock scrambling. IMO not for small kids or most dogs.

Awesome trail. I’m new to hiking and getting in shape. This trail kicked my ass. The last half mile-ish back up to the parking lot is killer and I had to stop a few times to catch my breath. It’s definitely the higher end of moderate.
