My favorite trail so far in this area. It’s rated as moderate but depending on what shape you’re in it might be easier or more difficult. Lots of up and down and it was nice being on an actual trail as opposed to black top. One downer is the trail was hard to find in a few places and was muddy in a few spots although easy enough to walk around the mud. Highly recommend it.

Hiked today. Beautiful scenery, walking along Creek was peaceful and everyone on the trail was friendly. Few muddy spots but overall it was great.

Hiked the loop counter clock wise. Very well maintained and enjoyable 6 mile hike from parking lot back to parking lot. Flowed well with various up and down hill intervals. Walking beside the creek in many places added a nice peaceful touch to the hike. So history to the location and cool seeing the old damn where the mill was located. Highly recommend for a quick hike and get away.

Very easy trail for a nice day hike. The trail is well marked for the novice.

enjoyed this hike just before Christmas

I enjoyed this trail. I did get a little lost down by the water when the trail was flooded, but it took me about 15 minutes to figure it out. Other than that, I was back on trail. Was a nice variety of ups and downs. Crossed a few creeks and it wasn't too bad with all the rain we've had. Was muddy in spots but not too bad.

Great moderate hike. I recommend hiking shoes for the winter. Part of the trail is rough terrain and the other part is cement. We went after a week of no stop raining and the terrain part was very muddy, hence why you will need waterproof hiking shoes. You get to view some great scenic points. Lots to view and observe. The terrain and paved area varies in elevation, so be ready to feel the burn going up those hills.

Very scenic. Quite muddy at spots but overall it is a good trail. Enjoyed my hike this morning.

First time going to this park and the trail was a lot of fun to run!!!!

For a little longer hike you can take this MST section from Falls Dam all the way to Raven Ridge Road and back. A nice medium distance through the woods past Annie Wilkerson Nature Preserve with glimpses of Falls Lake. Good workout with some ups and downs. Several places to walk down to the lake for a rest.

A beautiful hike with numerous changes of scenery. A great way to start a fall day.

nice hike except the part I couldn't take due to it being closed.

It's just the end of fall, and this 5 mile hike was beautiful. Trails were a bit muddy due to recent rain. My dog had a blast, and the river was perfect. Not too crowded and everyone who was there was very respectful.

Rated four stars for the views, it’s nice to walk along the river for so long. But it’s a very easy trail, definitely not moderate. Only a few climbs, everything else is flat, wide trails. I think I’ll do a little trail running next time.

Part of the trail is still closed from storm damage but the overlook is still open and offers a scenic view of the river.

The trail is a nice, light exercise with some great views of the Eno. If you live nearby it's certainly worth an outing!

Great trail, few inclined loved the view. An amazing cut out log in Memory of at the end curve. Great water view w small rapids :)

Really enjoyed this trail and the walk along the river

Close, quiet and beautiful scenery.

This trail is well worthy of its intermediate rating, as it has some pretty grueling switchbacks. lots of uneven terrain and loose material. and some slightly treacherous downslopes.

But you do get some nice vistas, the power lines kinda take away some, but still nice.

Bits of advice: Take Your Time! Also either carry a camel back or bring a gallon of water, because you WILL need it. Dehydration is no joke, it's early symptoms are subtle, but it gets bad quick, headache is a clear sign that you are not drinking enough. take lots of breaks and drink plenty of water. When you get back to your vehicle it's a good idea to have a Gatorade or Powerade, you need to replenish those lost electrolytes.

nice trail. we hiked it. it was more of a walk in the woods next to a river than a hike, but it was a morning well spent. I would rate it as easy instead of moderate. this would be a GREAT trail for running. I would run on it every day if I lived near by.

It’s open now. A portion of the trail doesn’t allow bikes though..

Trails are open 10/4/2018

We enjoyed our hike today but unfortunately Raven Rock Trail was close but we at least reach to the overlook and it’s a pretty cool view over the Cape Fear River. This State Park is well maintain with helpful & friend staff who make sure we are on the right trail.

Although the trail is well marked on the trees, this is a difficult trail run to follow because the trail itself is covered. This made it difficult to tell where I was going and it was also difficult terrain. The views of Jordan Lake though are what make me want to go back!
