I love this trail. Period.

The Falcon Creek Self-Guiding Trail is a short 2.2 km loop trail, just a short drive from Falcon Lake townsite off the Trans Canada Highway, next to the Falcon Beach Ranch.

The trail follows over the rocky landscape and through forested areas. There was one very large rock positioned along the trail that was deposited there by glaciers back in the day, from the receding ice, which was interesting to see. You can also spot lots of quartz veins in the rocks along the trail.

This trail was scenic and had great views and beautiful nature along the way. Would recommend!

Quick easy relaxing walk.

It was fun both times. In winter Snowshoeing and fall hiking!

My go-to hike when in Birds Hill.

Easy walk. This trail is actually a combination of two trails, the Red Wing trail and the Chickadee Trail. Trail maintenance could be better.

Fun trail for the whole family, great history behind it and lots to look at.

more like a walk than a hike, but a nice scenic walk

Signage a bit difficult to find.....ended up going backwards

It's an easy hike through an area with great spiritual importance: the Anishinabe and other First Nations people believe that the petroforms were left for the benefit of all who would receive their teaching and healing. I am always grateful to have access to and be in this place - cloth, tobacco and other offerings are commonplace. @jesiannoutdoors

Just a nice easy trail with lots of wildlife

This is marked as a easy trail but 1/2 the trail is walking uphill so I’d say it’s more a moderate. Nice, quiet trail otherwise.

This trail was exactly as advertised, easy but scenic as well.
I saw a black bear which was startling but the trail is shorter so it wasn't difficult to track backwards.
I would recommend this trail for beginners and experts alike.

Easy trail, great for getting a little sweat on! There is a shirt cut to make the trail half the size at the look out tower. Take the sign for blue stem trail once there, they’ll lead you back to the chickadee parking lot. (If you’re with kids or something)

Meh.

Nice level easy trail, wood bridge at the beginning a little sketchy but there’s lots places to stop and admire Lake Winnipeg

Trail in great condition. Relaxing loop to walk or bike.

Lime Kiln 7.8km well shaded without too much diversity. A quiet route (regularly used for horses). Will prob skip hiking this one again for lack of interesting scenery. Trail running/biking could be more fun! Enjoy!

A very pretty trail! Took me about 45min with a couple stops with my dog. Well shaded and beautiful trees. Nothing challenging here, and there is a look out tower (did not see much). Enjoy!

Hazelnut 9km. Yes, you must walk north on the gravel pathway to the other side of the field to start this hike (and Tamarack). Wide paths, well marked, well shaded. Unfortunately I followed signs to the look out (will not do that next time) and ended up turning back early. Enjoyed how quiet it was at this end of Birds Hill Park.

Great, well maintained and interesting trail. Perfect for a young family. The tree carvings were fun to find too. Quite a few families on the trail.

this site is completely self guided and has no markers but is generally easy to navigate if you remember where you came from. a very spiritual, almost chilling feeling coming from this place; it's very quiet and relaxing. bringing a gift/offering would be recommended for everyone to leave :) I regretted not bringing one myself!

Pretty basic trail through the trees with a lookout for kids to climb on route. Good if you just want to get out in the woods and put some km on :)

Very clearly marked trail and is about 70% shaded. You will walk by a few camp sites, parking lots and washrooms. A few sections feel a bit more secluded. A pleasant walk with the confort of many people around.

We enjoyed taking the family out to find "Woody" the tree spirit. finding the other carved faces was fun too. need to check out the "game of stones". will do this trail again
