Nice walk. Falls small but pretty.

on Pinnacle Park

This is a VERY rocky trail to the point of being not enjoyable.

Nice short hike. I imagine it would be even better with less of a crowd.

Pretty cool short hike. Overgrown in parts with limited views. Falls were awesome. The trail does continue past the trail, but we turned around because the views didn’t open up very much after the falls either.

A lovely, diverse trail right off the BRP. Some areas were a bit overgrown with raspberries/blackberries but still totally passable. There is a bit of rock climbing necessary as you approach Blackrock that is technically challenging. Also this hike is longer than advertised- at least 6.5 miles round trip. Just keep going until you get to a rock summit that has 365 views!

Great hike! We hiked it with our young children and got to see two bears!

The day I went it was super muddy and slippery so definitely be careful coming back down!

Nice hike, great double falls at the top. Parking is sparse so go early.

It was a good trail, but I would not recommend it for anyone’s first time backpacking or camping. It had rained the few days prior to me and my gf doing it and the creeks were so full and crossing them was pretty dangerous. But overall a great trip. Plan for it to take 2-2.5 full days to complete the trail if it has rained recently.

Beautiful! Resident bear encountered. Can’t wait to go, again!

Easy hike, cool views. Only downside was it was horribly crowded and had to park a mile away

ditto to Casey! Great Hike!

We really enjoyed this hike. Beautiful creek views, forest fauna, flora and more butterflies than you can count in early August. Hard is an accurate rating for this hike, especially the last .6 of a mile to the summit. It was raining when we got there but we could see how great the views would be if it were a clear day. Brought the dog and she loved it. We would recommend this hike, but it is a lot of work so come prepared and ready to have some fun.

I'm giving the trail 3 stars because I'm unsure if I'm just being bitter. I was already pretty annoyed for having to park about a mile down the mountain from the trailhead because there were so many cars but I wanted to do the hike so no worries. I thought the waterfall was mediocre and over crowded and I was disappointed there were no mountain views. However, I travelled here from Pennsylvania and was extremely excited to hike the iconic smokey mountains and this was my first hike and I was just disappointed, I remember thinking I'd rather be home hiking for a large portion of the time. Again, I might just be bitter! I loved the plants and wild life; many lovely ferns, mosses and butterflies!!

Great hike this morning. This was my first hike ever and I’m looking forward to going on more.

Started near Lake Jocassee and hiked along the Whitewater River until we reached the falls. Very easy with clearly marked trails and stairs for some sections. 7.6 miles was a non-issue for this dominantly flat stroll through the woods.

This was a great hike, with a neat waterfall at the end. If you want to avoid a crowd, don’t go in the middle of a beautiful weekend day, like we did.

Hiked this today as a very out-of-shape 30 week's pregnant "beginner", and would agree that the trail is easy-moderate, and I loved it overall! It is nice and short, which is why I chose it, but the first 3/4 is quite an incline for someone of my health condition, and I had to be extra cautious about the many protruding roots and slippery rocks (after rain), especially coming back down. No complaints, though! The falls are a lovely 15 degrees cooler (about) right behind, and worth it! The kids LOVED it!! Get there early for better parking options.

Fun, easy hike with a nice reward at the end. Arrive early in the morning during season to get favorable parking close to the trailhead.

Hiked up in the rain. Rain and Clouds broke before the end of Pinnacle. 360° beautiful views. Well worth it. Great half day hike.

Lovely fall

I completed this hike last year in June ....and it was simply gorgeous!!
This year-July - still beautiful but way too muggy!!
It’s uphill all the way-great cardio! But that means it’s downhill all the way back -and that’s murder on your knees!!

The trail is well maintained, so expect to do this fairly quickly for a 21 miler (did it in about 8hours). It was cloudy and rainy, so that might have affected my experience, but I felt it was all that great. The best view points are at the begining, doing the whole loop is a bit excessive.

Did this hike early May. Very nice hike. Waterfall was beautiful. Simple hike doesn’t take much time but worth it.

Great hike. Had a full family of all ages. Our 3 year old didn't complain about being tired on the hike. It was easy enough for him. Not a large elevation gain. Very beautiful throughout the hike with all of the rocks and roots along the trail which does make it a little tough to maneuver. Not paved. The waterfall is so pretty!!

A pretty easy hike and the waterfall is beautiful. You can walk behind the falls. Even though it’s a short, easy hike, I would recommend take no water.

I would not rate this as moderate, it is very easy- the trail was filled with families with small children. I am 26 and moderately in shape. Beautiful forest trail, heard lots of birds. I would definitely recommend exploring the base of the waterfall, as the top portion was crowded with so many people it felt like Disney World. If you can climb down, the base is very peaceful.

Nice hike, gorgeous wildflowers the entire way, plus the creek! Wide trail, that narrows considerably as you get close to the pinnacle. I went early on a Sunday morning and really didn’t see them many people until I got most of the way down. I got to the top about 10:45 and the fog was clearing, so I had some views.

Go early! We arrived at 8am. Crowds were coming in on the way back.
