Trail is located in Hartman Park

Not well marked but we used the map to find the start. Walk pass the playground down the hill, pass the bench and it's on the right

We will definitely be going back during the different seasons to see how it looks

We just got back from hiking in Colorado and wanted to keep it up here back at home. First time on this trail. So happy it’s so close to our home. Very well kept, marked perfect to decide which way you want to go and loved all the fall leaves. Can’t wait to get back out there with our bikes this time!! Would totally recommend!!

I picked this trail up at I-Lan park (127th & Nall) and headed north to Leawood City Park...perfect out and back for a total of 6 miles. very level, recommend for training to increase running distance/time. Met people all along the way walking, jogging, biking. Lots of shade so will definitely keep this one in mind for summer however this trail is stunning in the fall.

I love this trail . Use do live close there and spent a lot of time.

Interesting area, but the trails intersect with service roads and are very confusing. Have been on it many times and can still get confused because of how the map is configured. Best to have pic of map on your phone, or plan on extra time. Trails are well maintained and area is very pretty.

Great place for daily dog walk, bike ride, or run. Varied and interesting. Easy access in several areas to change up the route. Loop section is especially nice. Can access the creek in early spring.

Great path, it was exactly what I was looking for. It is a fully paved path great for many activities. I rode the full length and back on my mountain bike with city slicks.
Most people on the path understand all the basic courtesies required to make this enjoyable for everyone sharing for which I am very thankful. Though I was riding alone I did not feel alone; lots of waves and friendly smiles.

This is my go to trail at Landahl, since I'm still fairly new to mountain biking. I do Family Trail going out and then Will's Wanderer (the actual trail name) coming back. They're not too hard but both definitely have some tricky spots. The trail was changed this year to make the end a little less challenging and to avoid some huge rocks. Dave's Maze is another great trail that connects to these two and is about the same level of difficulty.

Great trail for an easy walk. Go right from the parking lot and it’s 2.5 miles all the way around. Mostly shaded and wide gravel trail

I grew up in Overland Park over the past forty years and have been pleased to see the extensive trail system develop. I jog, bike, take my dog on jogs, and even ride my longboard on the Indian Creek trail. My wife and two boys live 3 blocks off the trail. The trail is fairly well cared for. A few cracks which are most notable on the skateboard, but they’re few. And definitely not a problem for any other mode. I’ve seen police on a few occasions. I don’t recommend a ride on it within 24 hours of rain, as a couple of low spots can pocket water. Summer day will dry it up, though.

I usually ride my mountain bike about 5 miles, I might run a 2 mile jog once a week. I sse a good balance of trees and open areas, which means even on hot days you will find a diversity of temperatures. Fall brings a few too many leaves for the longboard... And, pity the Activity menu here doesn’t have the skateboard-longboard and nor does it show inline skating. These are 90% level grade trails on the floodplain of the creek and are a treasure for the community. They provide continuous uninterrupted movement...just pick a mod and do a little “forest bathing” through the City of Trees. See you there!

Easy trail. Loose gravel/rock. Shaded areas.

It’s a nice little nature trail to go for a walk, but me and my husband went there with our 2 year old and got so lost. There are several intersections and no signs or anything, so make sure you know where you’re going. But other than that it was a nice place to get out into some nature.

Nice little spot within Lee’s summit. I’ve lived in LS for a few years but never noticed this park was here. There is a paved trail that goes around the softball fields but then a mulch nature path that goes through the woods
and up to a creek. Me and my 2 year old had fun but didn’t get to explore all of it because of the heat but we’ll definitely come back. It was pretty clean too, I did see a little trash but not as bad as other parts of the KC metro area. There’s also a playground before you get to the trails.

Wide gravel trail through the woods. Well maintained. A couple easy to moderate inclines but other than that pretty level.

on this hike I encountered 2 copperheads on the gravel part of the trail. while walking on the dirt trail the was an extremely large copperhead hatchery that you have to walk through. the dirt trails are not well maintained nor marked.

Very cool trail about 2/3rds in the shade in July at 11am, nice lake, a cave and natural bridge, it’s mostly gravel and follows and crosses a stream a few times, easy trail with a couple of hills.

fun

Nice hike, gets a bit confusing when approaching intersections.

In town for work decided to get out rather than sit in a hotel room all weekend. The trails were good but I have to agree with the other reviews that it’s a little difficult to navigate. Luckily a couple running the trails guided me to the best way back to the parking lot.
Wish I had my mountain bike with me looks like these trails would be fun on two wheels

This trail is great for a family ride, single adventure, jog or walk on. The underpasses make it very pedestrian friendly with a great environment to take your stress away. You'll pass along many neighborhoods as well as store fronts that will aid in your thirst or hunger needs. I've riden nearly all of the trail it doesn't disappoint!

Trail was not marked at all and I don’t think it’s even operational anymore. Once you get to the lake, there isn’t a path. There are some steep hills and muddy terrain for parts of it.

This is a bad biking trail. It’s dangerous too. There’s mud on the trail below the overpass, so it’s slippery. The trail is not maintained well either - downed tree limps, lots of bumps and cracks in asphalt. There are very few handicap ramps at street junctures. And there are too many sharp turns.

Outstanding trail for biking and walking. I’ve ridden this trail countless times and enjoy the trees, ponds, traversing in and out of the various area of the city and wildlife along the trail.

before moving to Olathe KS we read about the trail and convienence that it offers. we have been here for 6 weeks and have enjoyed nightly bicycling on it with our two young children too. it is everything we have read or heard and then some. It can get busy in portions depending on time and neighborhood. Great job KS!

This trail is really well maintained and has access points to fun spots to play in a river. My 3 and 5 year olds enjoyed it and could handle the short distance just fine.
