Great views. Mostly well maintained, dome tougher spots. Would do it again.

Very nice easy hike to the water. I loved the falls and nice sandy beach. Bring a camera and a picnic basket and enjoy the day!

Walked in just about 1.5 miles from the southern end. For the most part a very pretty trail, esp. the pines by the river. The limestone rocks and the old quarry added to the experience. You go by some houses, and you hear the road for part of it, so it's not the wilderness, but it's a very nice walk. Be careful, some of the stairways seem under-maintained.

I started out at the south entrance. I saw 4 other people along the trail on a weekday. I really liked the first section along the river. It was beautiful and the trail was challenging in some areas with some small inclines through the woods. The trail got weird because we end up walking right alongside a pipeline that was just very creepy( mind you I was hiking alone, so if I had been with someone else I might not have felt this way). As the trail connects with the sugar island loop , I felt like there was a lot of overgrowth, and then there was a detour so I decided to head back. I didn’t make it around the entire loop, but still got a 6 mile hike in and got a fairly good workout. I hiked and did some trail running along the way.

Great place easy hike worth the drive.

Excellent. Short, wheelchair accessible and a glorious waterfall at the end.

it was peaceful and beautiful saw a lot of butterflies and even a deer ... majestic and eye opening. it will be a stop on my summer hike list ever year now!

Loved the hike and had fun swimming but unfortunately not everyone carries out what they bring in. There was a lot of garbage in the picnic area.

Beautiful- easy walk & hike around

Part of the trail was easy to get through, but the other half had really long grass and plants all over. So it made it hard to see where the trail actually was. But it was a beautiful place.

Lampson Falls is absolutely beautiful! The trail to the falls is very easy to walk on and it’s wheelchair accessible!

Short and accessible, this trail and river combination offer a wide range of visitors lots of enjoyable opportunities. A footpath continues on along the Grass River for the more adventurous hiker and a campsite with outhouse on a hill above the beach area provides an attractive overnight option.

Absolutely gorgeous trail! Southern and northern parts are relatively easy; mid part is a bit up-and-down but nothing too heavy. Few very nice spots to look at the river and enjoy.. will definitely come back!

Very easy hike with nice views

Everyone kept telling me that Lampson Falls was under a mile but I knew it was way longer. Turns out that THIS is the trail I was talking about. About 3 miles of pretty easy going with about 1% being "moderate". Some skinny, sloped spots that are centimeters from the river's edge make it officially iffy for older dogs, in my opinion.

Great time, short trail great for family. good access for all until just before the falls. Then good for those able to walk. Wide trail good for those in wheelchair for most of the trail.

Family friendly!

Great trail. If you do all of it, the 'high water detour' near sugar island is still flooded. Also the trail is littered with ticks, so be careful to dress appropriately.

Great beginners trail and family trail. Pet friendly.

It's a good for a family trip. Only 1 mile walk leads you to the Fall.

I would hardly call this a moderate hike. It's easily accessible by all and it isn't even a mile round trip. But having said that views are amazing. And if you make the trip in the warm months bring a swim suit and hop in!

This is a good one for running or biking. It's still quite new and is so smooth it practically seems paved. Pretty nice views too, though not quite "rustic" enough for my tastes.

It was wonderful. It follows the river most of the time and starts down by the Stewart's now so the whole track is about 2 miles. It is great for kids as my 4 year old tagged along and we were able to take the double stroller down the trail for my 1 year old and my 4 month old. It is very well kept with few hills and quite a few little fishing spots. Lots of wooded areas as well with quite a bit of small wildlife, squirrels and birds and such. All and all it was a wonderful little walk and my children really enjoyed themselves.

Beautiful and easy hike.

I believe we did more than just going into the falls. We walked in, signed the visitor book then followed a wide trail to the falls. My Garmin has recorded a 3.24 mile loop. We walked out on the wooden platform they have for viewing the falls then walked back to the trail and continued to the left (not going back to the park lot). I looked at the map on my Garmin and the falls are at about a half mile. There are yellow trail mark circles on the trees we followed it continued north before going west at the 1.5 mile mark. NW a bit till you came out on another good view of the river. This is where you turn South and the trail got a little sparse. It's right on the edges of the river so your view is beautiful- keep an eye out for trail marker signs. We almost missed them at one point. Also it's winter time that we did this, careful of ice. You move away from the river and cut through some really gorgeous pine trees. The real gem is when you hear the falls again at the 2.5 mile mark. A great spot to have a bite to eat and watch the falls. There is a beach up a quarter mile from there and you climb up to find yourself back at the viewing platform.
