Possible Hikes Map

Quick hike, good for all skill levels and nearly all abilities (though ground is not flat)! View is incredible!

Took a guided hike with a park ranger. He explained the historic significance of the site, and the NPS efforts to preserve it. Please be respectful while at False Kiva and stay off the structures. The walk up is quite strenuous, on eroding thin switchbacks going up and down, but views and shade at False Kiva are beyond worth the trek. Highly recommend, with caution! Hike is unmarked, and could easily be lost.

Very easy trail for families and the payoff is awesome

Yes, Yellowstone is incredibly busy and there will be people everywhere at the geyser basin trails, but in my opinion, it is totally worth dealing with the crowds. The Grand Prismatic is an absolutely beautiful geological wonder. The boardwalk is cool but the overlook is even better in my opinion.

Watched the sunrise over horseshoe bend this week. Absolutely amazing. Very few people there at that time, but by the time he sun came up it was packed already. Recommend going early.

Apparently I’m out of shape because it was hard!!! Beautiful hike, wouldn’t do it in summer.

Crowded and people get too close to the edge, but pretty

Scroll down in the reviews for advice on locating the trail head, once found it’s a very well marked trail and not as scary as it’s made out to be whatsoever. Absolutely stunning views!

Love this trail! Lots of switchbacks, fabulous views all the way down and back, and a great cardio workout. It took me 3 hours total. I wouldn't want to hike this trail in any of the hot summer months.

Pictures just don't do justice. This place is beautiful regardless of crowds! just be patient bc there are tons of people trying to take cool pictures. it's all in good fun!

So beautiful. Worth every step.

Very beautiful. Easy terrain. Limited parking.

Just do it. It's beautiful, easy and underwater geysers are just plain cool. Plus---the Colors!

Parked and hiked a bit, walked back and drove to the next parking spot. Hiked a bit again. Gorgeous, paved trails.

Beautiful views at the end! Fun hike with some scrambling on a well marked trail.

Great view, very easy hike.

My husband and I hiked to the 3 mile rest house and back. I hiked this trail on a December morning (highs in the 50s) and needed 1.5L of water. In my personal opinion, South Kaibab has better sweeping views, but Bright Angel gets you up close to the various layers of rock.

If you are trying to decide whether to hike down the 1.5 or 3 miles, I’d suggest turning around at 1.5. I think the experience from 1.5 to 3 wasn’t much different than the first 1.5 miles. The 6-mile length made this more of a strenuous hike for me.

Stunning and a must visit. I did this today. Arrived in the parking lot at 6:30 for a 6:50 sunrise, with plenty of time to spare. The walk to the arch is only 10 minutes. There were about 6 other people there. If going in the winter, bring gloves and warm layers! It was 30 degrees this morning and even with gloves, my fingers were numb by the end of it. This is well worth the visit and braving the cold for beautiful views and photos.

Combination of paved and gravel trails surrounding and through the park and gorgeous rock formations. Not terribly crowded on a chilly February morning, but the views would be worth a visit even in the busier summer months.

What can I say but wow. Went by myself so didn’t stay for sunset. Got a great corona of sun as setting below roof of kiva. Moderate scrambling. Views are other worldly. Lots of payback for the effort!

Easy hike to cram in while you’re in town to see Antelope Canyon. Tons of tourists but you can still find space to yourself. Don’t get too close to the edge for that perfect shot

Beautiful! Lots of people but worth it!

Easy but gorgeous. Go early to avoid crowds. If you're able, it's def worth trying some climbing.

This hike is a perfect way to get a good work out and take in spectacular and vast views of the canyon without completely tiring yourself out or eating up your entire day. There was still some ice at the beginning of the trail. Those parts were quite slick, but they were less than 25 ft. I was wearing hiking boots, but my partner did just fine in treaded sneakers.

This little hike combines the beauty of Canyonlands with the amazing Mesa Arch. The arch frames the Canyonlands vista. The trail goes from the parking lot to the rim of the canyon at a point where an arch has been formed right at the rim of the canyon. Well worth the stop.

The whole family loved this arch and hike! Great fun for the kids, fun photo ops for dad, and minimal danger for mom to worry about. Definitely worth your time. We went at noon, and the lighting was awesome. Probably one of the few arches where the lighting is as interesting at noon as it is at sunrise or sunset.
