easy trail for sunday afternoon, bring your dogs 3 waste bags stations, no reason to leave anything behind

Excellent hike back in time!

This falls is a great family hike, and the kids love to stand under the 50 foot falls and get wet. It is also a favorite for those learning how to rappel. There is often people at the top repelling down the side of the waterfall. To get to the falls, you take the Pleasant Grove Utah exit 275. Turn east, and follow the road up to 100 E in Pleasant Grove. Turn right to 200 S, then turn left (east). Follow the road all the way to the top where there is a parking lot, and the trail head. The hike starts kinda dry and hot, but it as soon as you get up to where the water is not piped in, it gets greener and cooler. It is only about 1 mile up to the falls, and there is is cool and a delightful area to explore. If you have more time, you can hike past the falls, and right off the bat you will see 2 more pretty waterfalls. The hike above is steeper but if you go up about another mile there is a spot where the river gets wide, Rocky and very shallow. There is a sign here and there is a trail that heads over to Dry Creek Canyon. If you go from here up about another half mile it gets a little steeper and narrow, but you end up coming to a T in the trail. The right side heads to Baldy or connects also with Dry Canyon. The left side gets up to a dirt road that you can drive all the way out to American Fork Canyon. I usually walk the road for just a little while and then head off on a small trail through the meadow that heads down Grove Creek Canyon, and right by Indian Springs. This canyon was named because a tribe of Indians used to live up in this meadow. Some squirmish happened with the Indians and the Pioneer settlers and there really was a battle between the two that happened at the base of Battle Creek Canyons. A beautiful canyon with spectacular cliffs, beautiful waterfalls, and a bonus that you are very close to the river almost the whole hike. Here is a 360 stitch of the hike up until the turn off towards Dry Canyon. http://shaunasadventures.blogspot.com/2018/02/360-adventure-battle-creek-canyon.html?m=1

It’s a quick jaunt. Still a little muddy and slick in some places.

Pretty steep trail and very muddy which made it slippery.

We really enjoyed this hike! Brought our little guy along:)

Catching up on some reviews, so recognize that this was done mid-December. Seriously such a cool hike. We were the first ones to go up after a small snow fall, so fresh tracks all the way up, although it was a little slippery at parts. Falls were half frozen, which was also neat. Not sure about the traffic or conditions during summer, but this was a great early winter trek.

Fun, easy, and scenic! A must for families. The waterfall is beautiful and weather was great! Didn’t go past the falls but was fun. Did a Vlog of it on you tube if you want to see it. “Daydreamer” is the channel “Hiking to Battle Creek falls” is the title.

Less of a zoo than Blood Lake and more scenic in the bowl under Clayton peak. You can access it via peak 10420 and dropping down, or just continuing past bloods lake.

Pretty easy. Awesome that they would build such a fancy bridge for the BST

Still muddy. Gorgeous view. I expected natural rock formations as the furniture but it’s stacks of rocks in the form of chairs. A bit steep. Definitely a moderate trail.

Gorgeous area ! Spectacular waterfall. It’s a must !!! I’ve hiked it a few times.

trail is dry now. 2.14.18

Gorgeous hike. Worth it to hike to waterfall. This was my little border collie puppy, Koa first hike...so much fun. I recommend bringing water and a snack for yourself and dog. If you have micro spikes for your hiking boots bring them. There was on spot going back with ice where we had to slide down and I had to have my boyfriend catch me because I went down super fast.

Took my 5y/o, 3 y/o and packed my 1 y/o on my back and they all LOVED it! Incredible views, really cool rocks (which is important when you’re a kid), and the perfect distance for kiddos. We will DEFINITELY do this one again!

So good! Awesome view and “seating” at the “living room”!!!

The sweetest biking trail. Loved the suspension bridge. Beautifl area for seeing nature as you ride, walk or run.

Great morning hike. Somewhat muddy and slick this time of year.

This is a really cool place. I wouldn’t have expected it to be up there behind just the neighborhood

It’s a good hike to go on with friends and family!

This is a nice easy family hike. My 5 year old had no problem. Beware as we saw needles and other drug paraphernalia towards the beginning of the trail head, but afterwards it was all natural beauty. The suspension bridge was awesome and overall it was a enjoyable experience.

Plenty of spider trails, choose wisely!

Amazing views! This was a bit more difficult in the snow and the trails were icy in spots. Need to wear good shoes/boots to accommodate the snow/ice

Nice up and back, a little bit of a challenge around the falls and above. The trail is clear of snow and ice. Nice scenery with a the pleasant sound of the flowing creek.

As a beginner I had to pause a lot but it was well worth it in the end. Bridge is a bit wobbly but it wasn't scary.

This was a wonderful hike, beautful scenery and waterfall. The snow covers 90% of the trail, but the footing is safe and trails are clear.

Super muddy and slick today! More mud and snow than dirt. I wore Solomon hiking shoes and was fine, but regular sneakers will be soaking wet by the time your done. Gorgeous hike! Good workout.

beautiful! its a little tedious but definitely worth the visit

Brought my dog up here today and it was beautiful! Only saw a couple people and a few bikers. There was no snow but it is supposed to snow tonight so there will probably be a couple inches tomorrow.

Great hike! The first part is switchbacks up the trail. The bridge is wobbly when walking across, but fun!
