Been there on 2018/06/02. Very good hike. Lot of crowd. Paragliding at the same point. Near to Issaquah Front street. Has a designated parking lot but small. I would go there again.

I’m new to hiking so I wasn’t sure how I’d do on this one being all uphill but it wasn’t so hard to get to Comet Falls and it was beautiful all the way. We went ahead and went all the way to Van Trump Park, which for me was quite a challenge. My phone tracked me going up 150 flights in less than 4 miles. At the top we saw some mountain goats in the distance. It was beautiful up there.

I went on this hike twice. It has a nice view and you could see people jumping off for paragliding. The trail is well marked and easy to find your way to the top. There’s an incline most of the way to the top but the incline isn’t steep. This is a good beginners hike and the views are definitely worth it.

great trail for beginners with amazing views

All uphill with a few straight aways...Its best to be in shape before taking this hike. Well worth the views! Real rocky watch your step. The jog down was nice

Initially set out to run this, but the pathway is narrow in many places and it was fairly busy. Beautiful Cove… All of the trees are covered with moss and leaves, making the forest look even more alive. Love the little bears in the trees too… Super cute addition to this Cove.

I left the forest and walked about a half mile on the beach… It is all rocks, no sand but it was still a beautiful scenery.

Beautiful hike! Took about 3-4 hours in and out. Stopped a lot along the way to enjoy the views. Moderate incline going in. Good trail, rocky and rooty at the elevation. This was not a difficult hike but not for novices.

Amazing hike but little bit steep with rocky stairs and roots. Surprisingly it was bugs free! Parking was good.

This is my go-to trail. No discover pass required and its close to my home. Its short enough to be completed within 2 hours, but has enough elevation to get a good cardio workout.

At the first viewpoint, you face south and should see Mt Rainier. On a clear day like today, I should've been able to see it. However, I haven't seen any traces of Mt Rainier for a while now. I'm guessing its due to the smoke caused by wildfire.

The second viewpoint is much better with N and NW views. This is the paragliding launchpoint.

Amazing hike and well worth the effort! Feels a lot longer than 3.2 miles. I would recommend trekking poles for coming back down the trail due to some of the steps. they helps steady you. trail is in fantastic condition and there were no bugs. parking sucks!

This review is WAY off on mileage. We hiked this today and recorded 2.2 miles to the falls ONE way.
Everyone’s comments are correct this is moderate to hard hike. Lots of stone and wood steps and rocky terrain, plus steep sections that are helped with switchbacks.
We pushed on the extra .75 miles up to the Van Trump part of the park. We had incredible views of Rainier even though it was a little smokey from the current fires. Well worth the extra push.
Parking got full by around 10 so come early. Then opened up again around 2:30. Bring lots of water on hot days.
Not that many mosquitoes, but annoying little black flies that didn’t bite.

*3.8 Miles to Comet Falls, the Trail winds next to the river, which provides ambient noise. Trail is beat down with roots exposed. Definitely well trod. Still, beautiful views!

Excellent moderate hike. a bit steep and rocky, runs along the river, several waterfalls and plenty of mist at the end to cool off with

Came from the Chehalis Western Trail and crossed the bridge to get to this one . Very nice and lots to see .

For those looking to go to Poo Poo point via an easier trail, take the Chirico Trail that ends in the same spot and has a lot more parking and is 50% of the length. 6.8 miles is longer than you think - do bring a lot of water and good shoes. Both this and Chrico are rated as moderate, but you can bring beginners on the Chirico Trail to Poo Poo point, this is certainly not a beginner trail.

The view is the big payoff, the hike not so much. You should choose this hike only if you are looking for a workout as the trail is not that great except for the bridge.

Very first Hike and went solo, went well, mild traffic up and down, people were nice, pretty light in my opinion but the view at the top was phenomenal! Highly recommend for beginners/pretty quick hike

Went on this hike on July 21. We started at the highschool because the parking lot was completely full. By 9am. This was harder than I thought. The trail was a constant incline, and hardly any switch backs, which in my option, makes for more of a difficult hike. Trail was Well marked and maintained. Bonus we got to watch paragliders.

Most beautiful falls but it’s a little bit steep. You should come early so that you have to take pictures. Because everything is so majestic!

Pretty easy hike, ended up running it. Stopped for lots of photos.

Completed 7/14 Tough for footing and climb, but relatively short. Completely beautiful, one of the best short ones. Took us ~3hrs with stopping and taking pics

Not for kids younger than 5. Too many trip hazards, too steep, too many ledges for younger kids.

Starts off hilly with a couple good declines and inclines. We took the outer loop and a couple off shoots to make it longer. It wasn't crowded even though we weren't on a Saturday morning. passed some runners and other casual hikers. Avid hikers wouldn't waste their time with it. But for us, it was a good way to get a reasonable hike in without going too far or taking too long. Well maintained trail. Good views of the water and the city.

Beautiful hike somewhat strenuous but well worth it get under the water fall so u can get that chill breeze

Nice walk through the woods that leads to a great view of Henderson Inlet. The main road that leads straight to the inlet could be easily traveled with a stroller, but if you are planning on taking the trail through the woods and you have a stroller I wouldn't recommend it because there are a few places where you have to go up and down stairs and there are spots on the trail where tree roots are out of the ground which would make pushing a stroller difficult. We had binoculars and could see seals soaking up some sun on the pier out in the water. The trail wasn't busy and is well maintained and clean.

This is a great trail, especially for a day when you have limited time. Its proximity to town makes it convenient, but also a regular haunt of some unsavory types. I've seen more than one report in the last few years of women who take this trail alone being sexually assaulted. Take precautions if you're alone, or go with a friend.

beautiful hike! you get to a foot bridge with some impressive falls and think you're there, but just around the bend is comet falls. really impressive.

the sign says 3 hours round trip, but I got up to the falls in 50 minutes. if you're in good shape and hike pretty quick you can probably do it in closer to two.
