This is a fun hike - pretty easy and mellow for the most part. The parking made it seem like it was going to be crowded, but we didn't really run into anyone here. We brought out pup and she had a blast!

Love this trail. Where Google maps tells you to turn right is a private road, it's better to park on the highway or in hiker lot. The trail is on the other side of the road behind the church and through the cabin lane. One of the lots is home to the world's "oldest Doug fir". Challenging, but not too hard. The campground is basically just a small flat area.

Burned our.

Great go to trail. Nice views of Riverside. Always packed, but a good workout.

great trail for all! not overcrowded but lots of pups!

Very busy, paved hike. We always take the “off the beaten path” trail back which is down the mountainside rather than using the pavement. Good hike for kids and beginners.

This my favorite place to go in the mornings :D
The way up can be a bit hard if you go midday. I would recommend doing this early in the day. Take a hat and some water because you will be in the sun for most of this hike. Once you reach the top you will have a beautiful city view. The top also has different places to camp, sit and relax. There’s currently no water up there. A hike you won’t regret <3

Nice little workout. Always busy. Nice views of Riverside on a clear day.

Great views great hike

Perfect for a quick evening hike. We left at 4:30pm and was back in our car by 5:30. This included stopping for pictures.

BEAUTIFUL views! Limited parking space if you go in the morning.

Walk was pretty, lots of trees and the bridges are beautiful. There are parking spots on the end of the stable on the right. We walked all the way to the Rose Bowl, 4.7 miles.

This has been one of my favorite trails so far. It’s starts out a gradual incline. When you’ve almost reached the peak it’s straight up. I thought I would be out of breath because of the altitude but I barely drank any water, do not recommend be prepared, but I was fine. We stopped a few times and I was able to control my breathing so I didn’t get out of breath. The trail is very rocky and gets a bit narrow as you get to the top. The view at the top was amazing. You are able to see downtown LOs Angeles and the top of the observatory. It took 2.5 hours round trip.

Worst part about the hike is the drive. Winding roads and reckless inconsiderate drivers. Be safe and take your time getting there.

This is a fun quick paved trail with great views.

easy hike, great difficult jog.great place to jog. took approx 111 minutes avg per mile to get to the top.

all jogs consist going uphill approx 400ft gain. (fitbit)

day 1- 1.1 miles, 12m 4s
day2- 1.2miles, 13min 13s
day 3- 1.5 miles, 15min 42s (right side)

Rough for a beginner. Def need to have some semblance of fitness before doing this trail. Awesome photo ops. Did this trail 2 weeks ago before the snow came. Currently has a ‘Closed for Season’ sign up. Will go back when I’m in Chuck. Norris shape and it re-opens.

Beautiful mix of trees ocean beaches and tide pools.

Love the views, hiking around the park is a good workout on easy to moderate trails. Go early to beat the crowds and park outside the park and walk in to avoid a parking fee.

Nice, easy hike or trail run. Can be crowded on weekends particularly during late morning hours. On Easter Sunday there is a pre-sunrise mass hike with a sunrise non-denominational service offered at the hilltop. Local Boy Scouts light the trail on Easter and help repair the trails that are not paved.

The trail is seemingly impossible to follow, especially on the way down. The hike was definitely fun (lots of scrambling and adventuring on the rocks) and I would do it again, but it only gets 3 stars because the "trail" was so hard to follow.

Great for kids.

Went in the morning and there was no one else on the trail. The paved portion up to the oil well was through a beautiful wooded canyon, the trail gets steeper after that but the views are incredible. Will definitely do it again! Ps don’t forget $5 for parking, cash only!

Love this hike, it’s really fun for families with little kids bc it’s not too long and waters are fun to splash and swim in. Usually it’s got a nice crowd but plenty of space to spread out. Direct sunlight for most of the hike so bring water and a hat. Go during spring for the wildflowers.
