Great trail. Awesome views.

Of all the gulches on the front range this one is only a medium amount of gulchy

I love this trail! I just wish people would realize that the “Dogs Must Be On Leash” signs do, in fact, apply to them and their dogs. Today I watched someone leash their dog to start because the maintenance person was in the parking lot, and then as soon as they got out of sight they unleashed the dog. If you know what you’re doing is wrong, why are you still doing it?

This is a nice, close-to-Denver hike. I’ve done it a half dozen times at different times of year and it’s definitely best when it’s not scorching hot. There are some beautiful views (even a glimpse of Mt. Evans) , a bit of rock scrambling, a section of forest cover, and I’ve never seen it crowded.

It was a fun loop. Nothing extremely notable though. Like other reviews have said, I think it was worth doing this once, yet I'm not rushing to want to go back.

Good hike that’s not too hard or too easy. Not much shade on a warm day. I don’t think I’ll do it again but I enjoyed it once!

Our first run in Colorado - absolutely perfect! Very runnable, well maintained, and excellent views.

This is a great hike! It's not too hard or too easy! Gives you plenty of opportunity for getting your heart rate up, but a lot nice and easy straights where you can catch your breath and take in the scenery! Great trail for the doggies too!

Not a very challenging trail and pretty scenic.

hiked it with my 8 and 10 yr old and they had no problem and a get time with the family

One of my favorite trails. Fast and easy to follow.

And afterwards I go to Cafe 13 in Golden for cinna-minis.

Good hike. Easy to follow the trail. Decent incline. Fogged in this morning - would like to do it again on a clear day.

Really pretty hike. Took about 2 hours with no little stopping. Would do again!

Awesome hike! First hike I’ve taken with my dog and this was a great choice. It was pretty mellow outside of a few rocky spots with the dog. There were a few spots where it was tough to find the trail, thus the 4 star.

This trail might have some of the best views in Colorado. There's a lot of boulders in and along the trail. This will slow anyone who wishes to run it. I went with a family member who's not much of a hiker and it took three hours to finish. I'll be going back to get a new personal record.

Quick hike

Really nice hike, though my Garmin clocked it at closer to 4.5 miles. Nice steep (ish) incline for the first couple miles, but the views are awesome. We went last Thursday in the afternoon and there were maybe 4 or 5 other people on the trail. Super close to town. Really convenient.

Low amount of traffic during the week and so close!

Great hike but totally did it at the worst time where sun was blazing and it made the climb much harder. The last bit of the loop was my favorite- fun rock formations and great views.

The Trees and tropical vegatation is unbelivably HUGE. It is amazing and very different. Trail is easily marked with beautiful waterfalls.

Attempted this hike today and saw 2 Rattlesnakes on the trail within the first .5 miles. I was alone and decided not to risk it but will re-attempt in cooler temps with a buddy. Trail looks very nice but minimal shade.

Loved the hike there. Got to the trailhead at 5:45 PM for a sunset hike and finished the hike at 8:20.. about 2.5 hours of hiking and gaping at how beautiful Golden/Colorado is at the golden hour and at sundown.. the trailhead is wayyyy less trafficked at the time we went. Had my dog on a leash all the time because of the rattlesnakes but seemed to be ok!

Great hike, nice views. Lots of sun, only a few areas that were shaded, so don’t forget a hat and some sunscreen.

Great hike, go during a week day in the afternoon if you can there is way less traffic. No mountain biking on the trail so that’s a plus.

Good hike. Beautiful views. A little much for my 9 and 11 year old.

Popular trail, great for an evening hike/run. Parking is limited. Seems kind of obvious to point this out, but make sure you aren't parking off the side of the road where it says "No Parking" - you will get a ticket. I saw about 6-7 vehicles get tickets.

Still closed from hurricane Maria but the rainforest is gorgeous and still worth the visit. They do allow you far enough up (driving) to see Coca Falls and to the first viewing tower. There isn't a lot of parking but stay patient and you will get a spot. There is a 30 minute time limit on parking. Only trail we found that was open was Angelito. Short but it leads you to a nice stream.
