Great hike. There’s a bit of an incline at certain points but otherwise it’s manageable. At the top is an old mansion with some great views of the City.

We had a great time hiking this trail. We did the short loop since we were pushing a double stroller. Dog and kid friendly, but lots of bugs.

Nice hike but there is no waterfall!

The north east trail section (0.2) does not exist.
It was decommissioned about three years ago.
Nonetheless it is a great network; but very steep and semi-technical in places.

It’s a good day hike. A good hike to do with friends as an alternative to a coffee date to catch up on life. It took me a couple hours to do and it’s nice because there are bathrooms at the top

Have been going here since the 60s.
wasn't so crowded then.
funny they named the old bathrooms the Witches Castle.
Still, love this trail when not crowded.

Beautiful trail. Very easy to follow. Great hike near the city.

nice trail but is not mountain biking friendly

Lovely hike through the trees, plenty of shade, well maintained trails. Pittock Mansion is well worth visiting - you can get to the house via the road.

Took the dog for a morning hike.
He loved it.
Quiet first thing in the morning. People were just starting to head up as we were leaving.

Great trail to bring the pup to!

Took our 7 & 4 years olds all the way to the mansion. Great hike and lots of spots for the kids to explore along the way as well as some “rest/snack” spots. My husband pushed our BOB stroller with a kiddo in it, it wasn’t easy but doable with an “off-road” stroller, if you’re in shape.

Sad how many dog poop bags are along the side of the trail, I don’t understand that ignorance. Leashed dogs are allowed, and all but a few folks complied with the leash rule.

Overall a great spot & nice trail.

i gave it a 3 but i think it should be more of a 3.5. For being so close in the city it is really nice. it is pretty busy on a September Saturday (not unexpected) I had to park a quarter mile from the trailhead. As there is space for only about 25cars in the lower area where you can park. The lower area is pretty through Mccleary park. This area follows a stream and had nice water features. There was however plenty of trash and it really bothered my daughter. Also as there were plenty of dogs someone couldnt be bothered to bring their crap out. I agree with the assements about the first 1.5 miles up being easy and the next 1mile being moderate.

Beautiful views. Clearly blazed or marked. Enjoy Redwood Deck. Hills are moderate.

I am just trying to get my self in to shape & I liked this trail. very pretty views all the way up & not steep at all. it's a very gradual incline so even I could make it.

Go all the way thru at the top and enjoy a beer at skyline tavern. There is a great outdoor area with horseshoes and dog friendly. Generally somewhat steep, but manageable for most, and a great reward at the top! Highly recommend.

Love this park! Great trails and easy access.

Steeper than expected, but great off leash dog park at the top and amazing views of multiple mountains on a clear day.

Great trail, the map can be a bit confusing at times, but it the trails are all maintained, and the views are fantastic.

GPS came in at 4.5 miles, took us about 1.5 hours to complete.

Be aware, parking can fill up by 10am on a weekend and there are lots of trail runners out here.

Kicked my a** lol

Great hike when you're itching to go out, but don't have time to leave the city. Head on up see the famous view of Portland from Council Crest.

First of three short hikes starting late Sunday afternoon. Not crowded, saw five or six people. Nice forest scenery but no views. Trickle of a stream to follow part of the loop. A bit of elevation change, but nothing difficult.

Well maintained trail in the heart of PDX. I prefer early as the trail is open at 5 AM. Nice and quiet then.

Nice moderate hike. A good hill climb in the middle but mostly even through the rest. No views to speak of but you are deep in the woods. Very nice escape!

Great place to run trails in beautiful forested areas. The grass fields have TH markers to branch out in trails.
