Super pretty hike with a steady incline!

the trail looked so beautiful with all the leaves falling and changing colors. it was wet when we went since it was raining on and off. we were the only ones there that day, which I didnt mind because it was nice having it all to yourself. there is a paid parking area but you can also park on the side of the road too. it's a super easy trail and the scenery makes for some amazing pictures.

it's a bit wet and muddy but it's to be expected. parking is very limited but it's a nice place located in downtown to hike.

Great hike! I started at lower McCleay and went all the way to Pittock Mansion... Pretty crowded today. Some spots of the trail were a little icy but not terrible. Beatiful views! Great trail... Will definitely be back!

Great hike, pretty crowded today, small patch of icy path.

I’ve lived by this trail for 24 years & the app states that mountain biking is one of the features-mountain biking or any cycling is not allowed on Aspen

Lots of groups on the trail today, but still some moments of solitude. A bit muddy, but less than I'd expect at this time of year.

Today we hiked the Wildwood trail from the intersection of the Garden Trail by the Japanese Garden to the Zoo in Washington Park. It was a beautiful foggy fall hike, mostly downhill. As you get closer to the Zoo there are many intersecting trails at the Vietnam Memorial, Holocaust Memorial & Hoyt Arboretum, and each intersection has a well marked sign. A lovely, leisurely hike.

Did this trail on a holiday and it was very busy. However i enjoy how it is in Portland. It is a beautiful hike for the most part, especially given the fact it is in an urban area. Current conditions: clear day, 60 degrees, muddy and some slick rocks.

Fantastic. Walk from the streets of NW Portland straight into this up and back down wide trail that includes a stream, bridges, treed slopes, and a great view of the city from Pittock Mansion up top. Highly trafficked and well-maintained. One of my favorites in and around the rose city!

Very nice set of intersecting trails. Only downside is it is very busy.

I really enjoyed this trail. I highly suggest starting early in the morning as the parking is limited and the trail is narrow. However, anytime really would be great. It’s more a preference. I did this hike in early November and nothing beats a crisp foggy fall morning. It was absolutely breathtaking. The terrain was a tad muddy but not a lot and it is a little uneven and slippery. So if you’re older or feel uneasy just be careful and watch your steps. I loved that there were slight inclines but lots of flat trail as well.

The first 15 miles were cake, the next 11.2 were worth it and last part was brutal! Good luck, make sure you have enough water. I’m going to go back to looking up crutches online.

My boyfriend and I hiked from the connector Garden Trail at the Japanese Garden to Wildwood heading toward Pittock Mansion. We wanted to see the new Barbara Walker Crossing pedestrian bridge over West Burnside. You hike through Hoyt Arboretum to get to the bridge. For us it was a lovely Autumn day & we enjoyed a leisurely stroll.

Great trail, but with the new bridge they removed the road access and Burnside. Now I have to hike an additional half mile and cross traffic to catch the bus.

Busy trail but easy. Not a lot of elevation.

Lots of trail runners! Lovely for fall colors, especially yellows and greens.

The section across W. Burnside is now open again after the dedication of the Barbara Walker pedestrian bridge on Oct. 27. No more hazardous crossings!

Great spot with a lot of trails to wander. Quite easy if you’re in shape, there are some nice little inclines.
