Hooker Falls Trail leads to a popular swimming area at the base of the falls and is only minutes from the parking lot. The parking lot is unimproved dirt and is medium sized so it fills quickly. (I was almost the first car in the lot when I got there and after hiking Hooker-Triple-High Falls the lot was packed and cars lined both sides of the road.) Hooker Falls is really just a first stop before doubling back and heading up to Triple Falls and High Falls, which are really the main attractions.

moderate trail. fun

The only downside was the rapid influx of obscuring clouds once we reached the top....after a few minutes, the Parker my lot was not visible, along with everything else. But what a view we had before the clouds engulfed us! Loved this!

A great kid friendly trail with beautiful waterfalls.

a cool waterfall! the trail to get there isn't my favorite (it's all gravel roads), but the view at the end is worth it. passing lake julia and fawn lake is also nice.

short walk, nice small falls, good place for swimming and kids. lots of people there on a hot summer day because of easy access and short walk to parking.

Nice easy hike that leads to a really cool swimming hole. Unfortunately got caught in the rain, but would normally be an awesome spot to hangout!

Easy access. Easy parking. Paved trail. A little step but not very long. Spectular views. Its a must stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Dog friendly.

Five woofs!

Nice open trails with a lot to choose from. The West Loop is nice with a view of Lake Jackson. The East Loop is more in the woods. Easy to moderate trails. Good diversity.

beautiful trail and views it's a little steep but worth the effort

beautiful falls , not really a hike though...just walking on service roads...we hiked from hooker falls parking area past high falls over the covered bridge and down conservatory road. only disappointment was the service roads and lack of any views on it.

Awesome hike! Beautiful and easy! My husband, 3 year old son, and I completed this trail. Well worth the drive.

One of the best swimming holes around!

Short walk to hooker falls. An amazing spot to just chill. A lot of people had floats and coolers with them.

We ended up walking a little over 6 miles because we got a little lost. Definitely plan to return again.

Short and easy, with gorgeous views. Perfect most any time of the day!

Easy hike to a pretty water fall. Good access to other hikes as well.

The falls are very pretty, but I was very disappointed in the “hike” to get to the falls. It’s all on gravel service roads. Also, there really aren’t any views of mountains which I prefer. This is rated as an easy hike, but there was a decent elevation change several times. Maybe it was just the summer heat and humidity, but I was pretty miserable most of the hike. We parked at the Fawn Lake access and took the Fawn Lake Rd trail up to the Airstrip Trail then crossed over to the Conservatory Rd trail and onto the Bridal Veil Falls trail...maybe there was an easier way?? BUT—the falls are very pretty!!
PS: if you want to get wet and swim and stay for a while, there’s a nice mountain lake not far into the hike. If we’d been prepared, we would’ve stayed there and swam. Didn’t see any place to pay a fee so I assume it’s free. People brought in tents and coolers and chairs. We’ll definitely go back just for that!

Quick and easy hike with some good views.

Lovely, easy walk to great little waterfall. Good for families. Make the effort to walk back towards the Falls. Great paddling. Went midweek so it wasn't busy at all.

The Devil's Courthouse is a pinnacle rock outcropping at MP 422 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. From the summit you can see Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and North Carolina. I recommend parking in the lot to take a view/photo up toward the outcropping to get a feel for your destination. From the parking lot you'll walk uphill along the road on an asphalt path that then turns right into the woods and ascends very steeply up the mountain. Eventually the asphalt ends at a rocky gully that you'll follow to the top. The viewing area has a rock barricade so it's safe for children. From the highest rocks within the viewing area you can get a pretty nice nearly 360* panorama. Due to the short hike leading to an excellent view that is safe for the family this is a "must do" excursion for those driving the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Nice, easy path to the top. But super crowded even on the chilly, windy day that I went. Other than the crowds, the views are fantastic! Definitely worth going.

My mom (51) and I (24) hiked to the falls on March 4th and it was lovely. The hike is not super forested the entire way, but making it to the falls is worth it! There are tables near the falls to picnic if you’d like. There was a decent elevation gain but nothing my mom and I couldn’t handle. This trail would be perfect for mountain biking. This hike is easy to moderate (moderate only when gaining elevation). There are two lakes along the loop you can enjoy as well.

This trail is a true North Florida gem! Needs a little maintenance but still a great trail. Did the outer loop (4.5 miles) which started with the Sinks Trail and connected to the Gum Swamp Trail to get the maximum distance.
