Great hike. There are certain steep bits but overall it isn’t too bad. The end of the hike marked on the map is nice, but if you want great views continue along the unmaintained trail along the ridge. There’s spectacular views of broken top and no name lake at broken foot an additional 1.5-2 miles further.

I take issue with the AllTrails description saying that it is near the Klamath River, it is not. The closest river would be the Deschutes.

If you leave from the Broken Top TH (not Todd Lake) you’ll want a high clearance vehicle that you don’t mind beating up.

That said, Broken Top, the Bend Glacier and the amazing lake is by far the most rewarding hike in Central Oregon.

Great trail! I took my dog with me and she loved it! The best part was the part leading up to the creek. Its so beautiful out there! I will definitely be returning.

we loves this hike and constantly said wow for all the views.

there are so many amazing views and photo opportunity on this trail. Be prepared for a climb, but this is a well marked and we'll worth it hike. Just breath taking.

Great trail , really easy beautiful area
Lots of trout in the creeks

Very easy flat trail. Lots of strollers and runners. Not much hiking near the river. Did not like having to walk along Washington Dr to get back on the trail.

this was such a fun trail dispite the fact that the opal pools were not quite as impressive as I was lead to believe. still very pretty. nice easy trail. the kids gave up about mile 4 though so unless you got some energetic kids with some hiking enthusiasm I wouldn't recommend it. jawbone flats is pretty cool I had no idea that was there. the path is mostly gravel road except for 1.3 miles that is good trail type trail. lots and lots of huckleberries this time of year.

Great trail
It was a smoky day
Can’t wait to go back on a clear days
Lots of scenic mtn views

Great hike as always! Definitely don’t recommend letting dogs drink from the stream that comes down from the no name lake, as there’s one of the dead elk right at the top; which you can smell hiking up the stream.

Amazing trail with eye pleasing views.

Need a 4 wheel drive for upper trail head. Possibly my new favorite hike!

It has it's ups and downs but is short enough to be a good amount of exercise without being overtaxing. And it's just a nice place to be....

Awesome hike, 90% of the travel is over a lava flow, so be prepared for that and wear a sturdy shoe. Amazing views during the entire hike but the summit views are rewarding.

The NF-370 gate is open, follow it up. (Really rough drive though). When you see a parking lot on your right, turn left onto NF- 380 which will take you all the way to the trailhead and parking lot. Lake is 2.5 miles from trailhead. The dead elk are still there but on the other side of the lake so it didn’t bother me. One elk is in the water so you can’t drink the water. Amazing hike. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful hike! There is now a log “bridge” that has been installed so you can cross the river without difficulty.

Awesome hike ! Wish somebody would have said it was 6 miles of driving on gravel road because we popped a tire on the way down ... oof ... but other than that it was a really cool hike ! The natural water slide at the end was so cool. Maybe if they could put up more signs pointing to where to go to that would be helpful because we got a little confused.

So did this hike with co-workers. The app says it's an easy hike. it is not! More like moderate is how I would describe it. Over a gravel road and up and down spots. But that being said it is beautiful!!! All the little trails you can go off to see the waterfalls and the most beautiful pools of water ever!! Jawbone Flats is so cool!!! Here's the moderate part of the hike.... the 1.3 mls from Jawbone is a very narrow rocky and better watch out for the tree roots trail. But I am telling you the end results is totally worth it!! I would do it again!!!

This hike is more moderate to hard. In the beginning the trail is tiny and there are steep drop offs where if you are not careful with your footing you could easily fall and be injured. I started this hike late in the day 1pm on 7/9/18, it was 90 degrees outside with very small amounts of shade and no wind very hot! I did not finish this trail, but will definitely be back to finish it as an early am hike when there is no heat. The trail is also very rocky. It follows through a dried up creek bed in the canyon and may lead around the mountain you can see from the road. This is not an easy hike.

This is more an easy moderate hike. Yeah there is an incline for the first half, but with all the waterfalls, and a nice gradual climb there’s not much effort. After you make the turn left to finish the loop, it isn’t the best, but you are rewarded with a few falls that most don’t see and no crowds. Worth it and enjoyable.

Was great for swimming and hiking, I did it with 3 kids 14, 8, 6, water was beautiful and clear. Got there early and the parking lot was half full after we got back it was jam packed. Overall it was a really great hike.

What an amazing hike,
Theres a huge Creek and such geometrical forms on the trail,
It was the perfect weather and great sunrise to watch

Took us a little while to find the trailhead because we accidentally passed it and were looking past the campgrounds. The trailhead is right next to the first place you can get a wilderness pass. There's a second spot by the campgrounds which we made the mistake of going to. The trail was beautiful, just hard enough but not too hard and the view was amazing. Very busy trail though, lots of people to pass and let pass.

Great hike! GO EARLY if you want peace, quiet, and tranquility. We encountered a lot of large loud groups on our way out late morning. Trail is moderately easy but do recommend good shoes as it is long. Forest is stunning and the water crystal clear!
