Short hike, not much elevation gain. Making it a good start for people who are well out of shape. Also just a nice stroll through some nature. Probably go back for some trail running

awesomely for a relax time!

This definitely isn't a hike-- it's the sidewalk around the pond in the Harveston community lol but it IS clean, there's a park for little ones, nice and flat and sidewalk makes an easy go for strollers, you can go fishing, and have a little picnic at the picnic tables or even rent a little paddle boat. Nice little walk almost a mile around, good option when you're pressed for time, aren't looking to drive far from home, want to take the dog for a walk or just want to get some steps in.

Amazing views! Short trail with steps but worth the hike. Get there early to avoid the crowds.
No flip flops, slippery at times if you get down to the water.

Nice dog friendly trail with lots of parking

Took a morning jog from Spanish Landing to Seaport Village. I avoided the crowds by going around 0830. View is beautiful of the bay. A good playlist and lots of sites to keep your mind busy as your walk, jog, run, or bike this route goes by quickly.

Great trail, beautiful views, fun to climb down the cliffs into the tide pools and check out the caves. There were many visitors and many children of all ages also climbing down. Family friendly, and adult friendly as well.

this is one of my favorite parks and walking spots. the scenery is beautiful but it is not a hiking trail in any way.

Awesome little adventure for the kiddos. They loved it!

I really enjoyed it

Nice hike with great ocean views, tide pools, and interesting rock formations and cliffs.

This is a cute little man made lake in the Harveston community. However, it's not what I would consider a hiking trail. It's pretty to walk around but busy on the weekends with people and dogs. Everyone is really friendly. Perfect for a short stroll or for photo backgrounds.

Amazing I go on this trail all the time it’s right next to my home and it’s got amazing view of the beach.

Nice. A bit monotonous. Better than Florida Canyon. ⭐️3.5⭐️

Good area to run or walk the dog. Parking can be messy.

Hidden gem in San Diego North county. Really quiet and peaceful. Not very crowded even on a warm winter day. We saw a coyote near the park ranger station which was really cool.

We loved the many lil trails that led us to the lake each time. We just came to explore and we did. We found a water park within which we’ll definitely be back with the kids for that.

Beautiful views of the mountains surrounding the trail, well maintained. Perfect for families with little children.

Took our dog here! She’s use to being off leash so it kinda sucked for her but it’s a very easy and cool loop!

Great little nature walk.

Did the hike with my son and we both enjoyed it. My only complaint is certain sections are really close to the road. Still fun tho

Nice! easy hike

A lot of the trail was next to the road on a narrow path. It made me and my dog a little uneasy as the cars were going 30-40 mph. We did enjoy the parts that weren’t next the road. Probably won’t do this one again, but will explore other options in Balboa Park.

I live close by, and try to power walk the trail a few times a week. It can be crowded, but always enjoyable.

Really pretty views! Good place go if you want a short hike.
Take some cash with you. We needed to pay a 10$ fee to go in the park

Really nice trail to get someone introduced to hiking.

Easy walk, but beautiful views!

Easy hike, with good views and nice tide pools, only visible at low tide.
