A lot of pavement, parking and close to us. Very nice elevated walkway through the wet lands. Only down side is highway noise. There is a nice hike up to Ridgetop Drive that takes more effort.

took the dog here after our stop in silverdale, the peters trail was my kind of trail, a little overgrown and not a soul in sight, some might not like getting their knees and below a bit wet from ferns but I'm all for it, the rest of the main trail and others are free of 90% of branches just the random wind blown branch easily moved by foot, the dog liked this area a lot so we will be coming back to walk more, great area for people with dogs who might not socialize well or just like being to themselves while outdoors, saw two people in 5 hours.

We had a great time. most dogs were off leash, and that's ok with us, ours was too unless we spotted people ahead. my wife and I went with our newborn and our 2.5 year old, who made it most of the way before I had to carry her. Well marked and maintained trail with a great view at the top

Beautiful, easy hike

easily completed within a few hours, great for the whole family.

Great, easy to get to trail in Seattle. Amazing views

It was a nice hike except for the motorcycles. The views were amazing.

A real decent hike and a great trail run, too.

Always an amazing hike! Great little incline the entire way up for an awesome leg workout and super easy going back.
Gets SUPER crowded, we ALWAYS go right after sunrise to beat the crowds and when we make it back to the car the parking lot is packed around 8-9am, otherwise the trail is way too crowded and loud, along with way too many people at the vista overlook/summit. Just beat the crowds, it's so worth it!

trail is in good condition, took the dog for our daily 10 mile hike

Good trail, very pet friendly. Great views of the surrounding area.

it's a nice place to walk. we went during the rain. some areas are slick but it's pretty safe.

The views from the bluff out over the water are really nice and the beach is a nice play to sit and relax. due to the rain we have been getting parts of the trail were muddy so bring shoes you don't mind getting dirty. If possible go early in the morning as it gets pretty packed from noon on.

Nice walking trail, some waterfront. Trail goes by a great, huge dog park.

great area to hike. Signage could use some work. Also part of the trail was blocked of at the time so had to walk along the road to get back to the start.

took the dog on a rainy day hike, trail was as reviewed moderate but mostly easy except for the rain made some spots tricky even with trekking poles.

decided to finally do this hike, ive been on connecting trails but never did this actual trail, was a rainy morning but the trail was in easily done with trekking poles, not alot of summit views most people want but, you do get some peak a boo views of some mountains not far off, I would do this hike again just for the distance and terrain. discover pass or america the beautiful pass required or park outside parking area and walk no more then .1 mile into parking area.

I loved it! I was just going to do Gold Creek, but since I had already done the upward trek and still felt good, I opted to keep going for the full loop.

It's important to note that you turn off Wildcat Trail onto a logging road, and Davis trail isn't immediately marked at the bottom of the hill. But I only walked a little further than I should have, and easily found my way back.

Beautiful trail lets out half way through onto a gravel road. Had to ask someone where to go. We climbed DOWN to the "waterfall". Don't go on this hike for the waterfall, go because you want to go hike.

My sons and I do this hike a lot. Great hike all year long with spectacular views at the top. Weekends usually are dirt bike heavy but generally good mannered riders. It’s our go-to place and never disappoints.

Nice paced paths and great water views

Great hike. We went on a rainy day so we didn’t get the amazing views. The trail is muddy in places but pretty well maintained. We did the entire 9.3 miles and only ran into one set of motorbikes. It was stormy and windy on the ridge, which made it more of an adventure.

great for a quick trail run.

My favorite go-to spot for a good light trail run (sorry hikers and walkers) near home. Road shoes are fine because the trails are well-maintained and mostly free of rocks, roots, and mud. Bonus: the "Stinky Mile" along the North Beach. Be prepared to take in a few mouths full of sewage processing stench!

Very nice trail. I enjoyed specially the waterfall. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Hiked the West Shore trail with my 4 year old son today. Nice little walk! Plenty of parking, though we went on a drizzly, grey day after Christmas. Very easy walk for adults, with a little incline on the way back up. Challenging for my toddler, but now he will nap great. (;

Easy paved walk year round
