Pleasant hike but very crowded. The drive up after turning off the highway was quite a bit longer than I expected and very winding, with some potholes and most of it being single lane it was a little nerve wracking for me. I arrived right after 11am on a Thursday and the lot was completely full. About ten cars showed up right behind me and all just parked along the side of the road. Seems to be one of our local “hotspots” with need for permits in the near future. Bathrooms at the parking lot were indescribably filthy. I’m a nurse and I dry heaved... then practically bathed in hand sani. Would not recommend for a peaceful, quiet hike through nature due to the crowding. Great hike to go be out with friends/family, it’s not super hard, the bridge was cool, and some people were swimming around the waterfall at the end.

We went left which is the what I would consider the easiest way to go up so you can loop down near the sandy river and avoid going uphill as much.

It’s a great hike for first timers and great for kids. The cave was cool and the waterfall was pretty.

Great hike not too hard and the bridge is amazing

got a little lost but it was fun. the waterfall is down a scary path but worth it!

Easy gradual hike. Flies were annoying but the bridge was worth it. Parking was full on a Monday afternoon.

Loved this hike! Very pretty waterfalls.

Beautiful arch and views at the end of a very steep trail. Wasn't as hard getting back up the trail as I thought it would be, but it does get steeper as you get closer to the arch. Very enjoyable day!

Great hike amazing waterfall at the end.

This hike was so great, I did it twice in one week! The flowers are in full bloom even in the heat of August. The views are spectacular! It’s a bit steep on the way out, but does flatten and then there’s some downhill for last section.

The trail is short and fairly easy, but the views at sunset were unbelievable! 5 stars for the sunset views! It’s also important to note that gps will take you to the road and not the trailhead. We ended up at the top in our car and had some time before sunset so we just hiked down and back up.

Great family hike. Its easy to miss the forest road turn off you need to take.

Not very picturesque. Very long and not entirely safe. There is a water crossing that I wouldn't bring kids or animals through.

Great hike! Falls are gorgeous! Took 2.3 hours. total hike from parking up and around the loop. Going “right” at beginning of trail loop starts you on a steady uphill, not too steep, climb. Enjoy the falls while swatting flies, then downhill all the way back to parking lot. MapMyRun said 8.4 mile for me round trip from parking lot. Crossed river on stable logs

Trail was nice and easy to reach but other than the falls and the view of Mount Hood from the back of a parking lot...... there really is not much to see. Nothing wrong with this trail I Just wasn't impressed.

great place to get away from town. it's a little weird because you cross private land before you get to the actual hiking area. Dont let the odd start fool you, this is a great area to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle of living in the city. This is a wonderful place to bring a dog as well. just please be respect and pick up the poop bags. On my last trip back I hauled in four bags left by others. please don't let the select few ruin these places for everyone

Great hike with multiple families ranging in age from 4-44. Took an hour and ten to get up the 2.1 miles and just under an hour to get down. The view is pretty wonderful!!

Suspension bridge, waterfall, dense forest... LOVE!
Elevation gain was about 728 feet combined. Not very steep at all at its "worse." Took my 75 year old father and he did fine for being an inactive person.

When we first got here we were just about to start the trail, and a very nice lady on the bench told us it was very steep starting from the beginning but that we could turn around, cross the road and start the trail from the back and it wasn’t as steep as starting from the beginning. We decided to do this instead due to my rheumatoid arthritis. It was more of a gradual elevation change, and half way to the falls I was thinking to myself “maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad with the short steep elevation change vs the gradual elevation change and going downhill the rest of the way”, but once we got to the meadows I realized what she meant and how steep it really was. But this was a beautiful hike! We even saw 3 deer on the trail near the ski lifts. I would definitely do this trail again, as umbrella falls was beautiful and flowing pretty well AND the walk thru the meadows with all the wild flowers! The deer in the meadows was a plus as well!

Trail is a little rough here and there . Hardly any water during late summer months . Be prepared to walk uphill most of the way back from the falls .

It has been said already, but the flies were swarming in a plague-like manner. We bathed in bug spray (not literally) and it did nothing. They actually seemed to enjoy it!
We unfortunately misunderstood the kind woman at the visitor's center when she told us about this (in her words) "multi-generational, multi-skill-level, easy hike to amazing views!" Well, not great for my 70-year-old in-laws, and no views on the Top Spur trail...have to continue on to the significantly longer Timberline trail for that.
Definitely a low point in our week-long adventure to the Pacific Northwest.

Love the wildflowers

Very nice enjoyable hike. I would consider this easy. perfect for my 2 and 6yr old. they loved it! both walked the entire time. not very crowded.

easy trail walk next to cows also

Great hike with a wonderful waterfall! Views of Mt Hood were outstanding. I was a little worried about crossing the Sandy River but the water level was fairly low. We crossed on a log which spanned the river. It was a fairly gradual uphill to the waterfall- mostly downhill on the way back to the parking lot.
I highly recommend taking the Ramona Creek loop trail. The views of the creek and the vegetation were beautiful.

Amazing hike!! Easy trail for beginners, with the option of a crazy steep trail for the more adventurous. Definitely will be going back here.

Great family hike filled with a ton of nature (we spotted a snake, chipmunk, millipede & an assortment of birds). The suspension bridge at the end is the highlight and a pretty neat experience.

I want to hike here. Is this manageable for somebody with arthritis?

Gorgeous hike but could use some signage to guide you to the actual falls. Had a great hike and loved the natural slide.
