Hiked this trail in January and it was covered in snow. Amazing hike. We accidentally went up a side path and went the wrong way, which was easy enough to figure out when we saw some skiers coming down it. Stay to the left lol
This hike is super easy even in the snow. Had a blast and the little falls that’s at the end was worth the little hike there.

definitely a must do trail at arches, steep rock incline at one point but short, worth it at the end, go early went at sunrise coming down there was a flock of people coming up, petroglyphs are near the beginning of the trailhead

Amazing trail, but strenuous. Saw many people with flip flops and unprepared for the hike. The hike is difficult but so worth it. Take breaks and drink water . A Bucket list must do

Loved this trail it was so beautiful ♥️♥️

Good little hike with a waterfall at the end - entrance fees waived by a National Parks pass.

Easy trail, somewhat protected with a gentle ascent, barely noticeable once you are on the trail. Only tricky part is getting down to the creek just before you get to the falls. Rocks are a little slick and you just need to be careful. Crossing the creek is easiest if you just get your shoes a bit wet. Gala are gorgeous and be really careful if you decide to head up to the falls.

Such a fun and amazing views. The Kokanee salmon were beautiful as well!!

Easy 5 miler that is much more crowded in Autumn. Hiking this one on a Sunday afternoon during peak season for the Kokanee Salmon spawn, we were coming across other hikers on the single track trail every 1-2 minutes, and you have to step aside since the trail isn't wide enough for two people. This appears to be a bike-able single track, but please don't bike it in the fall - there just isn't enough time for people to move out of the way, and bikers aren't able to get out of the way themselves.

The trail is relatively easy. There is an incline at the beginning of both sides of the trail, with a higher section through open meadow at the top. If you hike a few times a year, you should be able to do it without any problems or any breaks. There were numerous children and older folks in poor health on the trail, so it should be accessible for anyone that can walk unassisted.

If you're here to see the Kokanee Salmon spawn, that is a yearly event during September. The times change. I've heard that it is typically in the second week of September. Of the three times I've been, I've seen single fish once, small groups of fish once (this time), and then the third time they were so thick that you couldn't help but step on them if you kayaked in. This visit seemed a bit late, as there were quit a few dead fish near where the stream emptied into the lake.

Absolutely amazing! This was without a doubt the best hike in Arches, totally worth it!

I love this trail, gorgeous in the fall. It's becoming too popular tho it was a bit crowded comparing 2 years ago. My only complaint would be kids trying to grab and disturb the salmon while they are trying to mate, lay there eggs and being tired from their long swim... please do not allow dogs in the water or letting the kids to play with the salmon. It is illegal to catch them. lets protect what's left.

Not my favorite hike, but it’s nice. It’s a pretty busy trail but the waterfall at the end is fun.

Pretty busy (likely because of the Salmon). The fall colors are starting to appear too! We ended by cliff jumping into the reservoir; terrifying and amazing!!

I love this trail

Gorgeous hike at Arches! We got to the trailhead around 7am and it was pretty packed, but definitely plenty of parking. There’s a giant rock to climb up so the elevation gain can be a kicker but it’s worth it. Great photo opportunity at the end but there will be tons of people in your pictures!

We loved this hike! We took our 4 kids ages 9, 6, 5 and 3. They were all able to complete the hike in and get back (although there was definitely grumbling and crying at times) except for the baby. We carried him the whole way. It was beautiful though! And the best part was seeing the Kokanee Salmon Run! We will definitely do this again next year.

very fun the donut was a hike to get to though.

this is by far the best way to see delicate arch. well worth the moderate effort to see. great for sunset photos, but bring a flashlight or headlamp for the hike out, the trail nearest delicate arch is over rock and can be difficult to follow back in the dark

Hiking on a weekday when it’s less busy? Want to shave 1.6 miles off the stated 3.0 mileage? Save yourself the aggravation and drive the 0.8 miles down the road to the ACTUAL trailhead. I really wish people used these reviews to provide useful information as was intended for this forum. The app incorrectly states that the trailhead is off the side of the highway but if you drive down the paved road for 0.8 miles you will see the actual trailhead. I was really irritated to add mileage walking down a private road which doubled the actual mileage of the hike — especially on a Monday when it wasn’t busy and there were spots at the trailhead. The trailhead isnt large so I imagine on weekends it would fill up quickly. I’d say maybe 20 cars can fit, maybe less. Wish I knew this before hand. Also once you make it to the waterfall if you want to see the actual donut hole that people photograph you have to hike up the waterfall over slick rocks. While this did not pose a problem for me, a lot of the reviews claim the elderly can do this hike and I’d like to clarify that it is true to a point given the climb up the waterfall itself. If you’re reading this please pass it forward and write useful information on these reviews so it helps everyone seeking information. Should be common sense. Don’t be a sheeple.

From Missouri reviewer: this trail was very easy. There’s a bit of an incline at the beginning but otherwise it was a great trail for all ages. The waterfall was beautiful but very rocky so be careful! We climbed up and over the waterfall to have lunch and it was lovely. Highly recommend for a quick hike for people not from Utah, and who aren’t use to the altitude but still wanna get outside.

This hike is very popular, so be ready for lots of people to be around. It was stunning and well worth the climb. Bring hiking boots for the climb because a significant portion of the hike is on a semi-smooth rock face. If you are afraid of heights, there is a stretch at the end of the outward portion right before the arch that has a drop on one side and a wall on the other, but it is a fairly wide path enough for at least two people walking side by side and it is a pretty short distance. The view at the top is amazing.

I hiked with my Boy Scout troop up to the pipeline, which I believe is about 2.5 miles in. According to another group of hikers we met, the trail gets very overgrown past this point. As previous reviewers have noted, the trail is shaded most of the way by scrub oak, maple, cottonwood and tall pines. Overall, it was a beautiful hike, and a good workout.

Very nice trail. Hiked it yesterday morning. Saw a mule deer and young moose. To see the donut part of the falls you need to scale to the top of the falls.

Nice hike to see all kinds of nature! The salmon spawning in the stream was amazing to see. Mostly shaded, but narrow and steep most the way.

it was steep on the way back up but not too bad overall I'd say rating is accurate. really crowded and a narrow trail so thats why I gave it 4 instead of 5. it's pretty though! the salmon were really cool to see! go early!

Great for trail running! Mostly shaded by trees and a clear, defined trail. Keep running past big rock towards Rudy’s flat it’s beautiful.

Moderate hike, nice trails that are marked. Trail head was behind the bathroom building, we walked back from the falls on the dirt road next to the stream that connects back to the main road out. Waterfall is not running very fast but was still worth seeing. Able to get across the stream on rocks so didn’t get shoes wet, if water was higher you would want water shoes. Don’t forget a jacket if you go in the morning it can be 30 degrees colder in the mountains.

Great hike! Easy enough for the young and old. The trail is well worn and plenty wide. Very high foot traffic so you won't get lost. The waterfall is fantastic. One of my favorites to visit.

I enjoyed the hike I noticed there is a point in which the trail breaks into two parts. One that goes to the stream that leads to the fall. And, was wondering if anyone knew where the other trail leads too

Fun trail with a great end to it.
