The trail was great and beautiful, but I should have heeded the warning about the bad road. My '06 Dodge Charger, low to the ground, hit a huge pot hole that cracked my coolant tank and the return trip to Portland was less than fun with overheating and pulling over until Fred Meyer in Gresham. Low cars, be careful!

Beautiful! We did not go all the way down to bottom of falls, but was pretty where ever you chose to go.. lots of warnings about falling to your death tho.. which puts you on alert!

awesome. we snowshoed, saw cougar prints

Absolutely beautiful hike to a stunning, cascading waterfall. probably best to AVOID WHEN RAINING you have to cross a river and The logs get very slippery....slipped and sprained my ankle...but,still worth it! Lol

Gorgeous Seattle woods. Easy trail, lovely waterfall

I’ve done this hike a few times. The falls are beautiful and peaceful, perhaps the most spectacular on the mountain. Take your time enjoy a snack at the falls and snap a few photos on the bridge. Make the loop to see the rocky cliffs and walk along the stream. The only tricky part is crossing the Sandy River, but there are usually big logs and a couple of options for crossing.

Great trail! I took my dog with me and she loved it! The best part was the part leading up to the creek. Its so beautiful out there! I will definitely be returning.

Upper section not too crowded (Friday 9/14/18 afternoon). Some road/traffic noise along lower section. Beautiful forested area. Decent elevation change with some switchbacks.

Hiked Sept 8th. Longer than expected drive, but wasn't bad. Falls were low this time of year, but still had enough water to be pretty. Lots of families out with small children at both falls. Probably won't have this trail to yourself, but worth the trek. Was a bit more up & down than I expected, so was more sweaty than I thought I'd be, so that was a bonus as I was expecting super easy, which it still was. Green Peak trail branched off of what looks like a campsite, off of a gravel road, so just look for that. We first thought it was a pretty worn trail up a hill, but that's not it, keep going to that site & the trail is off the back of the site. Good hike for a short hike.

Hiked on 9/8. The upper falls loop wasn’t too crowded—but lower falls looked a lot busier. Gorgeous views all around due to a dry and sunny day. Couldn’t have asked for a better morning hike to start the day.

This was incredible. Got there really early (about 6:30am) on Saturday. Literally no one else there for whole hike. The falls are beautiful and the rocks near Ramona creek are stunning.

Pretty falls.. There seemed to be an inordinate amount of signs saying 'beware falling' though. It was interesting seeing the lands carved by ice age floods with your own eyes.

two waterfalls in one hike. nice!

kicked my butt on a hardtail but awesome!

The falls were amazing. Short hike, steep in some places. Definitely worth the trek. Use caution navigating the trails. Very steep and loose rocks. Very narrow.

Cash or Check only unless you have the discover pass.

had a great time walking this Trail, ended up doing the loop twice because of the incline and sheer magnitude of the view you get both at the top of the falls and lower Falls. Highly recommend

Fun short hike! Brought my puppy to explore the outdoors and socialize him with kids! It was good to see so many kids out with parents!

Great trail with a beautiful waterfall. Oregon at its best.

All trails were closed today. But the falls were pretty.

this was such a fun trail dispite the fact that the opal pools were not quite as impressive as I was lead to believe. still very pretty. nice easy trail. the kids gave up about mile 4 though so unless you got some energetic kids with some hiking enthusiasm I wouldn't recommend it. jawbone flats is pretty cool I had no idea that was there. the path is mostly gravel road except for 1.3 miles that is good trail type trail. lots and lots of huckleberries this time of year.

arrived at the trail head early afternoon and the parking lot was full so waited till there was less cars and then got on the trail. saw a few groups at the start but was quiet the rest of the way. the walk is enjoyable and the falls are sweet! definitely do this counter clockwise.

Highly reccomend stable shoes. Took my dog on this hike and had a blast but the trail is not flat. I didn't have too much trouble but when I wasn't paying attention to my feet I rolled my ankle over a few times. Definitely my bad for wearing running shoes. Not very difficult, but I would have to say going down on the last treck was the more difficult part for me with my dog. He's still learning trail etiquette.

Short, easy hike with beautiful views the entire way. the only downside was the crowds of people but it was worth it to see the waterfall.

Very green, beautiful falls even in March.

A easy one but, get early, after 9 or 10am is heavy traffic. Is beatiful and couple really nice spots!

Beautiful easy hike !

This was a very easy hike, parking was easy to find and the waterfall was gorgeous during the summer. I’d recommend going during the week when it is less crowded. Regardless, it was a great experience!

Been there on 2018/06/30 Saturday. Very easy river side walk. Has Parking lot. I was there at around 7:30, I was the first one in the parking lot. Beautiful falls and access to all the way to the waterfalls. Camping available near by. Best hike for kids and people new to hiking. This wont burn calories much. It is more of leisure walk than hike . I would go there again but as leisure activity than hiking.

Great hike! i’ve stopped at Salt Creek Falls many times, but didn’t know about the bridge or this trail. I need to go back, there is more to be seen.

Only downside: there were some wooden bridges that weren’t in real solid shape. I’d be happy to go back up and spend some time building new ones!
